Heh. I always love when fans dive into the unseen mundane parts of the iconic/ epic stories/ characters. The notion of the other farmers on Tatooine remarking on the foolishness of the Skywalker kid in the course of their ordinary, farm-like lives makes me giggle. It's like the Below Decks stuff, in a way. Cheers.
Love Below Decks as a parody, especially in later episodes as Mariner actually shows some character development and improving relationship with her mother.
Years ago, a scene of this quality would have required hundreds of hours and a massive render farm to create. These days, it can be done with free software on a typical home computer. It's amazing how far technology has progressed.
"Yep" - Three letters that evoke so much meaning. Typical pub small talk - short and sweet. Loves this little skit. Probably my favourite for being so uniquely...Kiwi.
It would be really weird in a place like Tatooine. You really need a hat in a place like that, it isn't just decoration there, it is headgear, to protect your head and eyes from the sun. Arabs don't wear robes for the style.
I never heard of Barry Crump or Footrot Flats before reading the comments on this channel, so I know that I'm missing something, but this is still funny.
But they forgot to account for the fact that age is counted by revolutions around the sun and because Tatooine has 2 suns, the boy is only 9 after adjustment
A farmer named Wal... ooh could that be a Footrot Flats reference, or am I reading too much in to this? ** from reading some of the other comments, there's more Footrot Flats references in there too. Nice 👍
This reminds me of my grandmother trying to fix something while her neighbour stops by to tell her some quick country gossip; also makes sure to speed off before any thought of help could be thrown around.
That was channeling a lot of Fred Dagg. Quite badly. Anyone that isn't a kiwi will miss a lot of the jokes that were hiding in plain sight, so that makes up for a lot of it.
Gasp, that was Aussie slang. Gasp, that was an Aussie song (slice of heaven). Gasp, this is probably based on a Aussie comic book called footrot flats. I'm Aussie and that was the most Australian animated video I've ever seen
@@EpicallyCasual Ty. My comment was just feedback for the voice actors. The two stormtroopers are awesome btw, especially the older one. Funny thing is, I see myself in both, these days.
Not to be that guy, which I evidently is by saying this, but this looks like it was made in Bryce3D. Which would have been fine in 1995. Come on guys, not even a glass shader? And there are plenty of free sky HDRIs.
As an Aussie... I must say...
This is such an extremely believable interaction. Brilliant!

Did he respond, “never wears a hat” to the ‘18 years old and still pew pewing’ comment? 😂 so true. What a freak lol.
I think the pun is that the 2 SUNS messed with his head.
The heat will do that to ya.

A classic "Barry Crump" / "Footrot Flats" moment. Awesome! Shame the funniness will be lost on non New Zealand / Australian viewers...
And the nostalgia trip for us Aussies/Kiwis. And...a classic Kiwi song too!
It wasn't. We do have the internet. And even if we didn't, this is universal funny b/c this is true in any culture.
Nah, mate, I'm a Canuck brought up on British comedy. I think folks from other countries can get this stuff. I got it. It was hilarious. 🤣😂
Look man, I'm a teenager and I was raised on those old comics, it's just honest humor and still cool til this day

Great. You just discovered _Letterkenny-meets-Star Wars_ whether you meant to or not, and quite frankly, I don't know if I'm ready for that.
Still a better love-story than Twilight.

Brilliant. This just goes to show you dont always have to have stormtroopers and lightsabers to make a great star wars short! Loved it!!! 😀
These 2 remind me of the Tag and Bink story line. Funny stuff!!

Despite being American, I did get a lot of references. And a lot apply to any culture. Moisture farmers, Footrot Flats, my great-uncle, all one.
Keep up the good work looks great 🙂and I love the storyline approach and ending for this rural scene, its spot on.
This made me laugh so many times. Thank you
Literally every time my dad sees a friend of his in the truck.
Hahaha love the Tatooine rednecks. I hope you evolve this into something.
