A back to back test with the Harlem Thrive, the F-One Trigger and this Hypermodel would be interesting to see. Harlem was the first to pick up on the tech of Brainchild, so my guess would be that they might have an edge on the other two in terms of development and performance + they have the best riders helping them with that. Hope you guys will get those 3 kite out at the same time for a proper test and review!
I feel like the kite industry is just changing the aspects such as bridles and connection points, stitching and small details. I haven't tried the newest ones but I can say that all 4-5 years, you feel a difference and it can make sense to change, but all "new" models appear to be just a different in design and a little bit lighter. Of course we see newer kites perform better overall but together with the pricing I'm not really a fan of always wanting to make a big change. What I like is, that every new model makes the older one cheaper so cheers🎉
Good first impressions. Wing tips look a bit less squared off than the Supermodel. At one point he says conditions are right for testing but later launches the 9m and says he could definitely kite. Hmmm. And heck, go test it in “not the best conditions “ for that is the reality for most kiters.
the profiles much flatter and deepest point of the profile is way more to the back, but with great AOA changevia briddle. Additionally combined with a far forward bridding, and a lot of twist in the tip area. Build is all minimalistic (all those extra patches for durability purposes, from the past are actually pretty useless..) with minimal additional weight, standard Teiijin materialis just appropriate. (good compromise weight/strength) ,probably a thinner bladder TPU. this is the same trends on all the latest fast kites.
ProWeld is not gluing, it's welding. When it comes to durability, I can tell you that the first welded pieces of LE material made by brainchild are now over 12 years and still holding. BrainChild was very careful about making sure the longevity would never be an issue... I would personally not have trusted the welding had they not had a track record of the welded piece stayed together for several years of real testing.
I don't understand how welding improve weight, I got that it improves rigidity and frame stability and thats innovative and a huge thing in my opinion but the wight aspect I don't get it because for example an average polyester thread weight 0.5 mg per meter so to save about 0.5 grams you would need a 1000 meters .
As far as I understood in one of the Kitesurf365 podcast it was explained that the as the stitches would harm the material there is more fabric and tape needed for the stitches
When stitching LE segments, first there is an overlap between the two panels, and then there is additional reinforcement material. This happens between around 18 LE segments... Saving all that material adds up - to PROWELD kites being even lighter than current aluula kites.
You need several layers to protect the bladder, and reinforce the stitching. You don’t just save on the treading string but at least 2 layers of Dacron.
Hello everyone, I watched the video and saw quite a lot in common with the Harlem kites, which are sewn at the same factory. I would be interested to hear your opinion or comparison of the kites between themselves, Harlem Thrive vs Reedin SM2025
Hey @kitemana! Kind of an obvious question here… why are you not selling the OG of the brainchild bunch (Harlem)? And do make an effort to review the reedin? Shouldn’t you compare and sell both?
Most brands in the world produce in factories that also make other brands. We design our product independently than what other brands do in the factory with manufacture in.
MORE bar pressure than the previous model!!!? 😮😵💫😫🤮🤮. The previous model had the worst bar pressure. I sent the 10m back after 2 sessions. More bar pressure cannot be possible 🫣
Hi! There's an important distinction between bar pressure and steering pressure. Hypermodel 2025 has significantly lighter steering pressure and is much easier to steer with one hand, or loop with your hands closer to the middle of the bar.

Nice kite but damn they could've used a bit more creativity on the graphics
Tbh I think it’s one of the cleanest kites on the market
Looks Llke a color faded Spidermen Kite 😅.
Nice video, exciting new stuff. Looks very quick indeed. A bit confused on how 20knots is not enough for riding it though?

I wish you had wind for sale

I was thinking the same thing. He could have tested the 11m in 20 knots.

Great move for reedin!
I would love to see a Thrive vs HyperModel2025.
Not gonna happen, Kitemana doesn’t sell Harlem kites.
what about durability... any experience about that gluing?

Thx for your explanation 👍 then maybe it is progress in kite design, let’s see how it handles and maybe we will get a breakthrough
Perhaps you can use same glue on the DSX which falls apart in Egypt after using 10 times
Wow at first look it’s very similar to a Dice 😮 then of course it has new features in material and technologies but the shape is that one
I thought it looked exactly like a fx2 , dice is abit more c shaped I think

It might not be alot of weight but it all counts

@@ehoddinott1lol, you’ll have several grams of sand on your kite, saving 0.5 grams is utterly pointless.

The guy is like home alone's protagonist cousine
How many attachment points for the bridle on the leading edge ?
I hope you have wind for the second video !
12 I believe
Let’s see the difference after some month , between aluula and brainchild welding…..
Year 2056 'the kite is lighter, faster, better in the loop'
All quite odd this
Thank you guys for the review! it's feel really good to see that all the work we've put in is making you guys happy!
so all the kites are made at one factory now, all the difference - is the color and marketing team :)
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Reedin, F-One and Harlem are the only one able to produce at Brain Child at the moment.

20 knot sideshore not good ? Fuck I’ll take that every day of the week
It’s very expensive 😢😢😢
Kinda wow
Just a new Evo AGAIN…

@@corpuskiter I was excited for this review, until he mentioned how much bar pressure there is. Bummer.

That’s why I bought dlab Neo . So much less bar pressure ❤
Very ugly kite!😂
Yeah great Kite sorry we only started the Graphics at 3pm Friday!
@scottjoswald Appreciate the honest opinion.
