Great interview. Robby is a legend. Was lucky to see Robbie in action several times (Schevingen, Tarifa..). I started windsurfing late 80’ on a Ten Cate from my father. Still have the original wooden wishbone. Great memories! ❤
I've watched and listened to Robby Naish all my life. Even sailed with him way back in the day and he gave me a Mistral wetsuit I wore for years ..... Story of MY life ? - Wrong place, Wrong time ALL the time, BAD luck and NO decisions. (No drugs, No Alcohol also though. Maybe I should have done that ? Been more successful. LOL). Wow. I should have taken up windsurfing but it wasn't considered as a true sport yet. Just a "fad" that young'uns thought was cool. I've collected some of the best boards over the years and never stopped windsurfing.

I windsurf -not well! Can't even jibe. Couple years back, I ran from you when we both got off an inter-island flight. At any rate, sorry to see you go! You changed lives. What a legend! Grown up in Noordwijk, borrowing surf stuff of Erik Groenewoud in the 80's, still kitesurfing Naish kites in Noordwijk nowadays. 😊
