It's simply a matter of twisting them to get the pieces apart like a nut and bolt. There's no special tools or parts needed. As a pro-tip it's best to put silicone grease on the threads before use so it's easier to unscrew the peices. The Carbon Speed (CS) is thinner. It's the CT without the etra carbon fiber wrapped around the shaft. This means it's not as durable but moves more quickly through the water.
