Nice fins how much that cost?
s 30 is pog
Thanks for the video. My carbon Leaderfins broke after 11 months of occasional use. Both fins, cracked at the same location and size (3.5-4cm near the tip). I got in touch with the company and they said that's not covered by the warranty.
Hey what mm wetsuit do you recommend for kona side free diving and spearfishing?
Hi. What would you recommend for snorkeling mostly? Freediving too. I'm going to use it on vacation only, traveling around 3-4 times a year but I want something with good quality. What about the blade length? How to choose the right pocket for the foot size? I only used plastic ones before. Now I'm looking for better fins but don't know how to choose the right one..
What's the recommended strength band for a 120cm dubble roller 14, 16, 18, or 20?
Hey brother question, i just recieved a cressi modular impulse plastic fins and it has this shape at 0:39 at the end of my fins because of delivery , will it affect my diving session?
Hello Kona Freedivers, I have the impression from seeing you bend the fin that it's quite rigid. Can you confirm this? Do you remember the fin stiffness in the video? Soft? Generally speaking, is the V3-30 PRO stiffer than the classic V3-30? I'm looking for fins for light people <60kg with little thigh strength. In reading Alchemy brand feedback, many people seem to say that Alchemy fins are so light and flexible that you almost don't feel like you're finning. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I thought that if I went to the PRO short fins format, I'd get what I'm looking for, but I have my doubts when I see this video...! Thanks in advance for the advice!
60kg is 132lbs
Got a JBL reaper 90 kriptic camo and its misfires as soon as i put the first band. Dont recomend this gun.
Do you guys do shipping? I’m in Florida and can’t find any near me :(
Mean brother 🔥
Shootz!
What are the 8 possible configurations listed in the description of CT9 and what additional parts are needed?
Really? It's modular. 3.5ft 4ft 5.5ft 6.5ft 7.5ft 8.5ft 9.5ft to infinity and beyond!!!! Basically you have a 2 ft and 3ft section to work with so the possibilities are limitless but Brah, over 9 ft is a bit loco.
The most comfortable foot pockets for my feet! Are they compatible with other brands blades if I want to upgrade to carbon in the future? Which brands?
Yes. Alchemy and Leaderfin
@@konafreediversreviews1175 Leaderfins Pure Carbon Fin Blades come in 20 and 33 degrees options. Will 33 degrees fit properly into BM-30 pockets, which is 30 degrees, right?
I just installed Leaderfins Ice Fiberglass 33 degrees Blades onto my SEAC BM30 foot pockets. Standard 80 cm blades are slightly longer than original/stock blades.
Is the CT-9 good for a beginner? Thank you :)
Depends. How's your freediving ability?
They’re awesome, I bought them in medium flex but sold them and bought them in soft flex .. great great find, their foot pocket run a bit small so take that into account but is hard to find a better fin for the money specially full carbon. 👍
Glad you like them! Medium is too stiff for most divers
Very cool. I thought this rope degrades badly in the sun
Does it? Do you leave it in the sun? It is 9 bucks . . .
Hello, just curious if you happen to try the leaderfin blade to a cetma footpocket? Thank you.
Yes they work
NEVER BUY A BESTDIVE WETSUIT. Poorly made and zero customer service. Cheap Chinese company that doesn't reply to any customer service issues. I've been trying to get a warranty repair done for months and they refuse to do anything about it.
We stopped selling them so can't specifically comment but we started having issues with their custom suits a while back. I think they got overwhelmed. for stock suits we really like SEAC & Cressi but of course it depends on so many different factors.
Absolutely criminal of Waihana to use those beavertail clips. Absolute dogsh!t and won't stay clasped. Had to buy proper beavertail clips from Riffe for $20 and replace them.
We stopped carrying them. There's much better suits for less
@@konafreediversreviews1175 Can you tell me what brands you actually like and will vouch for?
I didn't know that hollow line would float. I definitely want to try that this year. Do you think It'll be ideal for pole spears?
This line is for attaching to your belt or leaving anchored to the bottom. Wouldn't attach it to a pole spear.
@@konafreediversreviews1175I mean no disrespect but you did say at the end of the video that you can attach it to your gun, I would imagine that apply to pole spears Is there something one would attach to a pole spear?
@@konafreediversreviews1175I dropped my spear not long ago shore diving and recovered it quick enough but isn’t it similar tying to your belt and tying to your polespeart band as long as you have a good purchase on the polespear
Thank you for the feedback. I finally got one with the dome. I am sure I will be using it all the time now.
Saweet! How do you like it?
Love it
I took my phone and housing to a spring fed lake, and got some good photos and video. Works great.
Thank You guys! Now I understand a little more then before I saw this video! 🤔👍
Our pleasure! Feel free to give us a call if you have any more questions.
I have a 15 Pro right now. I really want this one, but Im really reluctant to spend over $500(with dome) when I will trade in my 15 pro in two years. If it would fit the 16 or the 17(I assume that will come out later) I would get it. Im thinking will I get my moneys worth out of it in two years time before I trade my iphone in.
Aloha Brannon. This case will fit many different phone models including Android phones (support was added last year). It's future proof.
What is the difference between Turbo and Non-Turbo versions?
The Turbo model uses the new footpockets which have shorter tendons. We only use/carry the short tendon pockets in the shop now and use them on many of our fin builds. This is the newest trend in freediving fins.
@@konafreediversreviews1175 Thank you! I actually ended up buying SEAC BM-30 fins after trying on different fins. SEAC BM-30's pocket fits my feet the best.
FAQ
Ha
I extended my snorkeling with a bit of freediving last year, using my snorkeling gear and this year I want to get some better gear (and become better at freediving). Since I don't get to freedive very often it'll be no use to buy very expensive gear so I am looking into the BM30 or W-22 fins as they seem to have a decent performance, are a bit on the softer side and with about 110 to 120 Euros for a pair in Germany, are not too expensive. What I got so far is that both are quite similar where the BM30 has a steeper angle at 30 degrees vs. 22 degrees for the W-22. I also want to use the new fins for snorkeling, so I want optimal performance with depths up to 5 to 8 metres, and I am not in any way interested in any form of competitive freediving. Should I get the BM30 or rather go with the W-22 variant for this use case? I think the BM30 would allow for a more relaxed foot position when staying at one depth level where the W-22 is better for reaching greater depths quickly, or is it completely the other way round?
Depends. What's your height and weight? BM30 are softer. Angle is a bit much for mist people unless your have difficulty pointing your toes. For most people the BM-30 is better because they are softer but it depends on your leg strength. The more kicking you have to do the softer the fins you want.
Difference between pure carbon and carbon fiber?
Pure carbon is just that. Carbon fiber is a fiberglass layer sandwiched between two carbon fiber layers. We would not recommend this second version since mixing materials has no real benefit and results in a worse performing carbon blade with the lower durability of the fiberglass material.
Thanks for the video. I bought a case yesterday 02/22/2024. This product look good. I am going to be using it in March. We shall see.
Great! How did it work for you?
Nice!! Very helpful video, just seeing what is out there. Thanks so much and God bless!!
Aloha John. Just fyi while these suits looks great we've had issues with cut and durability. I would not recommend them.
What's your thoughts on the Ultra speedy fins? How do they compare to the leader fiberglass fins? Thanks!
There are so many different fin brands in this world with new ones coming and going. We've sold hundreds of leaderfins and alchemy's at this point. We've occasionally tried other brands but nothing matches the durability and price to performance of these two brands. So you can try some new brand, but we can't vouch for them. What makes you consider this brand over the others?
Will the cressi Gara modular foot pocket work with those blades?
Yes
@@konafreediversreviews1175 thanks 🤙
Do you recommend gull suoer bullet for free diving amd spearfishing?
Yes. We sell the super bullet. it is very popular for local spearfisherman. Is it a great snorkel for people who like purge valves

Haha! OK!
So to be more specific are they are carbon or plastic
Plastic! But you can swap blades for carbons later if you wish to upgrade.
Does it have a safety
One of the few pipe guns without one.
Thank you very much for this video, worked like a charm didn't have to splice a thing.
You're welcome! So happy to hear it. Thanks for the props!
Hi there, how do you inflate the 2nd one, i bought a new one last week, used it once, but now it seems like it lost some air. Thanks in advance
If you open up the velcro pouch on the bottom you should be able to dig around and find an inflator valve. It may not be obvious upon first opening it up but it's in there!
@@konafreediversreviews1175 Thanks a bunch buddy! Safe diving for all! 🙏
Great fins, had mine 3 years already. :)
Excellent. Glad to hear they stand up in real world use! Leaderfins in general seem to be quite durable for inexpensive blades.
Hello. I dive with a speargun. It is difficult to tilt the fins when we are at the bottom of the sea. Do you think it would be useful if we pierced the fins from the upper middle part?
You may be overweighted? Can you float on the surface with a full breath and keep your head out of the water without kicking? Another thing is your fins may be too stiff. Are you saying it's hard to kick (the blades are too stiff)?
there is better brands than Alchemy.
Cool. Of the 5,763 different freediving blades available on the market which one is your favorite and why? Also what is your authority on the topic? How many have you sold to the public and how many came back broken as a percentage of those you've sold?
🤦🏻
What?
@@konafreediversreviews1175 cringe
Thanks f vidéo...PLS Can you compare Alchemy with Carbonio GFT force??
We have not tried them. They seem more expensive and the alchemy are already pretty great. Alchemy has been around a long time and we've sold a lot so we know they are durable and they are a good stiffness level. What is making you consider the carbonio's? Just from what we see of them they look like they have a fair amount of resin on them. This is a common issue and makes fins too stiff. Based on this video (link below) they appear too stiff for him and he's using the medium stiffness (his body is rotating and he has pigeon toe). This is common as most carbon blades are too stiff. The challenge is in using the right amount of carbon and the least amount of resin possible without breaking. The molchanovs are a good stiffness level and tend to be much less stiff in general and even less stiff than the alchemy's but they break a lot. We sold them for a little while and Molchanov's wouldn't cover them under warranty so we stopped carrying them. Definitely would NOT recoommend molchanovs. There's a reason we sell achemy's. We have sold many hundreds of carbon blades at this point and there's nothing wrong with the alchemy's so why try to fix what's not broken? th-cam.com/video/EPE7UHG2REs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PVxVN0tvGwjYfCLl
I got an update from my fin installation Guru (Chris Funada @moistmaninnis). He says they are fine. They only work with pathos and proprietary footpockets so that's a huge red flag out of the gete.

Hi I recently lost one of my deep apnea 100cm carbon fiber fins (hard stiffness) do you think these leaderfins can compare to them?
They are probably a bit less stiff? The Deep Anea are quite stiff. The deep apnea might be a bit higher quality construction but if you lose one of these they are cheap to replace. Plus the deep apnea are probably way too stiff for you.
To be honest I have this case almost 2 years. The case itself is briliant BUT the stupid application is terrible. I also tested divevolk recantly and hard to say what is batter case. Both of them has their own + and - …
What are the + and - if you don't mind sharing? Also, have you seen they've released lenses for it? www.sealife-cameras.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/SL053-6_15cm-Wide-Angle-Dome-Lens.pdf
Hi I was given leaderfins just like them, but without foot pockets. What foot pockets do you recommend? I hear leaderfins foot pocket don't last. Thanks
The foot pocket that fits your feet is the best. Most will work with these blades
Which footpockets fit best on s blade?
It's not a matter of what footpocket fits on the blade. It's more important that the pocket fits your foot. Many pockets fit these blades.
I already order one a few days ago I can’t wait to go fishing with this spear gun 😀
How much did you pay? and where'd you buy it?
Awesome. Good luck. You can check out our video about spearfishin tips and tricks. th-cam.com/video/Q4lFgW82k_U/w-d-xo.html
