"Hang On To Your Life" is the title track from Shooting Star's 1981 second album.Rich with songs such as the title track, "Breakout", "Flesh and Blood" and "Hollywood" the album received plenty of airplay and charted in Billboard's Top 100.

Best KC band ever! I saw them in my senior year-1976 with 3 other class friends at 95th at Metcalf. Man,what a great nite ,Shooting Star Rocks! We had the fence directly behind the stage/band and the louder we got the louder everyone got until it was a full blown party/concert! Thanks for thr great memories!

Agreed! Saw them in concert at Baldwin Hall in probably early winter 1984 when I was a student at NMSU (now Truman State). They totally rocked and put on a great show! They were tight. I remember the lead singer was wearing pajamas!

Sadly…unless you have access to a time machine, no way to see the actual Original Shooting Star. Any & all versions calling themselves by this great bands name are glorified Tribute bands. No version will ever get close to the Original with Gary West.

AINT GONNA LIE I saw everybody in the 70s 80s and never heard of them. Ever. We were the coolest fucks in high school parking lot, smoking dope, fucking cheerleaders in our Camaros and trucks before football practice 1st period. We were cranking Rainbow, ACDC, Zep, name it. Coach and principal had our backs because we were rich. We ran the skool and did anything we wanted to.
