Thank you all so much for watching either this video or the death + armageddon playthrough! This began as a little challenge that I put upon myself, even though I never expected to get anywhere near the end. After just a couple months, I got past Moon Lord and things continued going relatively smoothly until Devourer of Gods, which was the first boss where I struggled a lot and it took multiple hundreds of attempts. From there, I still had my doubts about completing the playthrough given that the remaining bosses were the hardest ones by far, yet the feeling of being so close to the end made me dedicated to finish it out, no matter how many attempts these bosses took, so after 598 attempts of Yharon, 867 attempts of Exo-Mechs, and 713 attempts of Supreme Calamitas, I was finally able to make this video.
I know that a lot of y'all found my methods in the past for no-hitting to be rather questionable, so I tried to do better for this video. I hope you all enjoy this because now I'm practically uploading a movie in the process of "not melting bosses"

Note:
Over the course of no hitting these bosses, Calamity was ported to Tmodloader 1.4 and then while I was finishing up other bosses after Supreme Calamitas, the mod had a bigger update, so here's the list of which bosses were done in what version.

This is so underrated. This kind of bosses fight is way more interesting to show than just quickly kill bosses in boss rush because at least I can learn some dodging move from your gameplay. Excellent job man.

Fun fact: Videos like this can be a gud place to ask Calamity-related questions that are uncommon and doesn't need an immediate answer, as the comment section isnt too clogged up and there is a fair amount of viewers.
And my question is, how do I become gud at the game like u?
I wish I had a better answer but genuinely I had just put a lot of time into the game and wanted to challenge myself with no hits.
Although comparatively, I'm not that good. People like Cataclysmic Armageddon and GP could probably do all the things I do with their eyes closed lol
i know all calamity mode soundtracks and they are so good that i rlly live them
one thing that tripped me up with the calamity mod is that you can fight this worm boss that allows you to mine aralite or something and when i found that out I was so mad
I never thought about that but now I realize that's a great reason for people to use Boss Checklist when they first play the mod so they don't miss out on these tiers of items

That's pretty good! Not only are you good at dodging, but you make excellent arenas. I tend to be lazy about it and just put a bunch of boosting items on the ground, stack all the buffs I can, and stack defense/regen to outlast bosses. It works, but it's terribly sloppy.

That's so true though. I just put like three rows of platforms and throw some campfires and heart lanterns on them. I'd rather die to a boss 10 more times than build a more optimal arena

The "Calamity Mod Extra Music" mod should work for the Skeletron Prime music, however note that I added the songs to the video after recording and not all of them are from the same source, so not all of the songs from that mod are going to match the ones in this video.
What was the hardest boss to do without taking damage? (Some people might say the final bosses but some bosses are a lot easier to beat if you tank the hits than if you dodge)
Edit- another question, did you use a new character and a new world, then when you anout to fight a boss you record a thousand attamps to no hit then progresses like normal or a already existsing character in a already existing world
The hardest boss fight for me was Exo Mechs for sure, especially since I had never even played the fight before I started doing no hit attempts on it. Otherwise, I think Supreme Calamitas would've been the boss to take the place of being the actual hardest boss considering I did have tons and tons of experience fighting the boss prior to doing these no hits, since her fight still only ended up taking less than 200 fewer attempts than Exo-Mechs were.
About what you mentioned with the final bosses maybe not being the hardest, it is true bosses that are the hardest in a normal playthrough could be different in a no-hit because you can't tank the hits, but no-hits (to me at least) still followed a very similar trend in difficulty to doing the bosses in a normal playthrough because the reason the post-moon lord bosses have such a massive difficulty curve is only partially because they deal a lot of damage, but mostly because the patterns get much, much harder than the earlier bosses, which means you do have to actually dodge, meaning the difficulty of no hits escalate sharply as well.
I don't remember the exact numbers because it's been so long, but if I remember correctly, Devourer of Gods took around 400 tries, Yharon took around 600, Exo-Mechs took around 850, and Supreme Calamitas took around 700. I believe all of the bosses earlier than those took less than 100 tries, besides maybe a few that were still less than 200 attempts, so there was definitely a sharp increase in difficulty near the end.
Finally, about your last question, I did all of these no hits in a playthrough format, and the whole playthrough had their own separate videos. If you want to go see those, they're in the Death Mode Armageddon playlist on my channel, or they're in the Videos page just past this video! Those videos not only included some of the stuff I did between bosses, but also the death montage building up to my successful attempts at each boss.

Hey I noticed ur answering questions and I wanted to ask what’s the mod you’re using that displays the boss’s name, icon, and health per point on their bar, along with the icon pointing their direction? Thank you!
The mod with the extra info on the boss bar seems to have disappeared from the tmodloader mod browser, so I'm not exactly sure what happened with that. I believe the boss cursor comes bundled in with the Boss Checklist mod but I may be wrong on that.
Why is there a metal gear rising healthbar in the bottom right corner?

Thank you! The sigil was the activator for the mode that I used back in 1.3 to force no-hits during bossfights

Thank you! It just took a few years of playing the game and pushing myself by doing other no-hits, which eventually led to being able to get this video out! Though I do often emphasize that there are players who are much better than me, like Cataclysmic_Armageddon, GP, and plenty of others who could probably do the things that I do with their eyes closed lol. But overall, I'm happy with where I'm at since I like having good amount of skill in other games as well, even though I'm not even really "top level" in any of them.

I’m little new to calamity; how are you dodging through Goliath’s charge so frequently at 39:07? Did the counter/evasion scarf not have a cooldown back then, or is it something else that lets you do that?
I used the Asgard's Valor, which doesn't let you dodge through projectiles, but you can instead dash through entities, like bosses and minions

Whats your favorite boss theme
I would say Desert Scourge's theme, maybe not in direct comparison with the other themes, but because of that feeling of fighting only the first Calamity boss and having this awesome intense theme right off the bat, nothing else beats it for me. In a standalone comparison, I honestly don't really know, maybe Slime God, Cryogen, or Astrum Aureus? Or maybe still Desert Scourge, there's just too many good themes to pick one.
22:17 was that a Hit or died the Boss before the Hit ?
That was after the boss, since the mod I used made sure that I would die instantly if I got hit while the boss was still alive

What mods do you use?
I don't really remember, it was basic stuff for a playthrough but none of it affected the gameplay during the bossfights at all, so for these purposes, you might as well say Calamity Mod and Nycro's No-Hit Efficiency mod

Ignoring all the crap you're getting for this, this is actually really skilled gameplay, I can't even beat The Twins on Normal Mode, and you're over here not getting hit by all the bosses plus more. I guess I need to play calamity more often to get good.

I've always tried to make it clear enough that I think Calamity's "official" no-hit rules are full of arbitrary and unnecessary guidelines and that I'm not interested in associating myself with any of Calamity's communities, so this was only done for my personal achievement and not looking just for the approval from that community specifically.

I shield bonked off of a creeper and off the brain at the end with the Shield of Cthulhu dash, but shield bonking gives you a small amount of immunity frames so it doesn't damage you. If you're talking about something else, then I have no idea because my health never went down during that boss fight.
I understand it, at the beginning of the brain fight your health was low from something else that was from the brain, you could see it healing

Because you don't respawn with full health, it's not that hard to see that it was that way before the fight and never went down during it
