So if you use the split cable for the Snare trigger, using the RT30-HR, you can only trigger the head and not the rim right? Because the RT30-HR is a dual trigger but you plug in the cable with 1 back ring at the head (the mono split cable)?
Nice! So in theory, I can do what you just did and plug both of my Foot Blaster kick triggers into 1 input and save the other input for a snare or a pad trigger? With the correct cable of course. Thanks!
are the two bass drums separate ? I think you could only do what you are describing if there was a double pedal and not two bass drums! does that make sense?
Hi, did anyone try this with for ex. on triggers (that is two triggers mounted under the plate on each pedal) for double bass drumming? I want to have the two pedals/double bass on the one jack and the snare (head/rim) one the other. Does this work?
Since you used two trigger(snare trigger , kick trigger) for one input to the Tm-2. Can you send out those two trigger separately coming out from the Tm-2 to front of house mixer? Or they will be on the same line to front of house ?
Hi Courtney! I've only ever used the HR dual triggers so...I don't really know! sorry I can't be of more help! But ya the triggers that I used are all RT-30HR
@@Nachi_Keta it should be the same, since on the video he's using the dual trigger as a single trigger. Dual would mean he would use two cables on the snare trigger, and one on the kick trigger
hi, I have recently got the TM 2 and I wanted to know if to use the effects (distortion, compressor, flanger, etc.) it is necessary to select a sound from the control unit or the real sound of the drum can be used
@@NicholasWalker Is it also possible to assign two different samples to each of the splitted triggers seperately, or will those two triggers then play only the same sample?
@@NicholasWalker Oh ok so the left and the right out have to go in the same channel? So that means I would need and other y cable from the module to the one channel in the mixer right?
Hello! I have the Roland td 17 kvx and I have already made an extension to a third crash (crash 3) covering the AUX socket on the td17. i want to make another extension to a second floor tom (Tom 4) and that's why I got the roland tm 2 which has two triggers slots. can you tell me if the tm 2 can be connected to the td17 with a midi out cable or mix in cable so that I can save sounds from the td 17 to the tm 2? also sounds with the sd card can I add from td 17 to tm 2? is there another way I can save sounds via sd card from TD17 to tm 2? Thanks!
Way more useful and simple than Roland's tutorials. Thanks a lot!
You're very welcome!
Awesome video, much better than Roland’s official one
Glad you think so!
this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Thank you!
Major save for me...many thanks!

Yes my good sir! Pretty cool eh?

For using the rt30hr dual zone trigger do I have to use a stereo cable too? Thanks
Thanks alot. The TM2 manual is a rotten mass!!
Sure is!
A rotten mass? So should one get another module altogether to have a better experience?
I have two bass drums and 3 toms... how do I make a channel take the two bass drums and use the other 3 for the toms?

Hi Simone, You must select a sound from the unit to apply the effects. Hope that helps!
with own samples, could i then trigger four toms with it to get a fatter tom sound overall?
Yes!

hi! I don't think so. I would just record the sounds you want from your TD17 and put them on the SD card in the TM2. Does that make sense? Thanks!
@@NicholasWalker I do not think this is happening.

Chokable?
choking depends on what cymbal you use.
