Most underrated super hero character ever. Andrew is a special talent. People whine about him being a skater guy spiderman instead of a super nerd. But its a great take on the character by Garfield. You can feel his pain and emotion so many times throughout the series
Yeah, although I do believe that TASM 2 is not a good movie, Andrew is still my favorite Peter/Spider-Man. I love all the iterations of the character, Tom, Tobey, etc. I know people love Tobey’s Peter/Spider-Man because of him being a stereotypical comic book nerd, but Andrew feels more realistic and I can connect with his character more, while Tom’s is a bit more of a lighthearted tone of what Andrew was like. I feel like people don’t really like changes from the comics, but Andrew’s had just enough changes that worked, in terms of the first movie. I love TASM (2012) to death, yeah it has some problems which is why I would give it an 8/10 or, an 8.5/10 but I still really like that movie, as I’ve said earlier, the same can’t be said about TASM 2. I don’t mind the first whatever minutes of TASM 2, except for the whole parents thing, I quite enjoy the beginning, it’s whatever came after Harry, that I absolutely hate, he and Electro are the worst portrayals of those characters I’ve seen on screen. TASM 2 is a 4/10-5/10.
Imo him being a skater as opposed to a super nerd works better for Andrew’s Spider-Man. Andrew’s just too cool to be seen as a super nerd without it coming off as fake imo.
“Peter…where you going? …I don’t know…” Say what you want about Andrew, but his Spider-Man resonates with us on an emotional level no other one can. He challenges perfection and shows us the reality of being Spider-Man. This is life. We’ll lose, we’ll fail. Sometimes we don’t know. But that’s why we keep going, why we don’t quit, why we hold on to hope. We have to be greater than what we suffer🕷️
"No matter how buried it gets, or how lost you feel, you must hold on to hope. Keep it alive. You have to be greater than what you suffer. Become hope. And even if you fail, what better way is there to live?"
It is so heartbreaking seeing Gwen’s pictures all over Peter’s room. He never was going to get over her. And I am glad he did not. He could not simply forget who she was; she became a part of him. That speech is not just what Peter needed, but also what is the audience needed, to lift up the mood. Even in death, Gwen is an inspiration and motivation. Instead of Gwen’s part of him hurting him and putting him down, it is now what empowers him to keep going, to keep fighting and preventing others from going through this pain. ‘We must be more than what we suffer.’ Damn that line hits hard. It is the exact thing Peter needed. I swear I was crying so damn hard cus of Gwen’s death, funeral and then Peter watching over Gwen’s grave. He wanted her to be with him, more than anything, and then it is hard to see him cope with it at home. He becomes so depressed and doesn’t talk much. I am so glad that aunt May said what she said, cus it pushed him to listen to her speech. The speech made me stop crying, that’s its whole purpose. It doesn’t talk about trying hard to reach success, it is about hope, something that is very rare in this world. That small montage of them interacting was beautiful, and the little picture frame with them cuddling is so cute and really makes you wanna scream for some reason (at least it does for me). Peter and Gwen were the perfect pair, I am so pissed she had to die and even more pissed we did not get a third movie. Gwen is so damn wise, she is years ahead in terms of maturity, and she is so caring and overall a loveable character. Emma Stone is the only one who could have played her this well. It makes it all the more sad once we have to see her go, in the most brutal way possible. Peter did not need to move on from Gwen, oh hell no I would hate him if he did move on from Gwen, but he needed to move on from the pain that came with it. The little smile that appears on Peters face while listening to the speech is so sweet, Andrew is such a good actor. Heartbreaking and uplifting is what I would say.
Thank you for your comment. I'm in the middle of a very tough personal situation and this made me feel slightly better. And that been at least "slightly" it's enough. Thank u
I watch Gwen’s speech, death, and Andrew saving Mj in no way home videos often Andrews portrayal of Spider-Man sure as hell makes me want to scream and the other half of it was emma stones Mj I put myself in Andrews shoes throughout the movie and I mean really put myself in his shoes and I can only imagine but nonetheless everything you said I couldent have said better every second of screen time from Andrew and Emma in the Spider-Man movies is absolute treasure and I revisit these movies often I wish Andrews version of Peter was real he’d sure ash be my closest friend
Your words are excellent. You described the matter in a really beautiful way. I need to have a long talk with you about what you wrote... especially on the subject of you being happy because he did not get over Gwen and did not forget her even with the pain that became a motive for him to continue... This is life... and we always say that everyone wants to be Spider-Man but no one wants to become Peter Parker....😔😔
There's a deleted scene where Peter's father Richard comes back and visits him while he's mourning at Gwen's grave. Peter tells Richard that he doesn't know how to go on without Gwen, and Richard says you don't go on without her, you take her with you. And I think that scene would have gone really well with this scene in showing how Peter regained the strength to continue as Spider-Man. Obviously, since the opening of the movie is Peter's parents getting killed in the plane crash, Richard coming back wouldn't make sense, but I think TASM2 would have been a lot better had they cut the plane crash sequence and put in the scene of Richard coming back and consoling Peter. There's quite a few deleted scenes that would have added much needed depth to the film. It still pisses me off that Sony fumbled this franchise so badly. The TASM movies did a lot of things really well and had so much potential. At least Andrew got to come back in NWH and bring some much deserved closure to his character
That was my speech, almost word by word, infront of my entire school when I graduated high school 9 years ago. I've received so many compliments for the depth and meaningful words of it, and to this day nobody knows that I was too lazy to actually write one myself lol
What's sad about the ending/temporare cliffhanger of TASM 2, was that it seemed like Peter was going to be fine without Gwen until we find out what happens to him in No Way Home. Instead of Peter finding a light through the darkness, that light shortly blows out and the darkness consumes Peter, making him "rageful" and "bitter".
Which makes me want a third movie even more, the best thing about Andrew’s Peter is that he’s lost all hope of being able to live on, even tho he’s taken a harsh approach on being spiderman I feel like a third film would bring closure to his pain but also redeem that image of being spiderman and being true to having a greater responsibility.
@@YeseniaTheHedgehog I also heard for TAM3 they were planning to bring Norman Osborne into it and Harry would conspire with him to resurrect a amnesic Gwen as the symbiote carnage to fuck with him more. I love how Gwen's speech was a message for Peter that I think she masked as her graduation speech. Shes not really gone as long as she lives in Peters memory.
I wonder if Gwen wrote this speech with the possibility in mind that she might die in his arms. She knew that as long as they were together, Peter would have his promise to her father in the back of his mind. And if something were to happen to her, Peter would be crushed and have to live with tremendous guilt. Even when she was falling, she remained remarkably calm until the end. She closed her eyes, seemingly accepting her fate. She knew this was a possibility and accepted it, which is why she refused to let Peter fight alone even after he had told her to stay away numerous times. This speech was her way of reaching out to Peter even after death and helping him through the pain. Giving him something he can hold on to for peace, for reassurance, or even just to remember her. At least that's my theory
If you can recall, while Gwen was making this speech, peter was out there stopping a car hijacking and preventing a nuclear explosion. And gwen knew this. She made the call to peter before making her speech. Yet she stood on the podium and delivered such a speech despite knowing all the time that her boyfriend was out there preventing a bunch of polonium containers to cause a nuclear explosion. I really love her nerves. And i am pretty sure the entire speech was completely dedicated to Peter.

Ok now you glazing. Maybe yoy can say he is morr expressive than Tom's portrayal but even that is a stretch to say the least.
I remember when he missed her graduation speech she said “I’m- say it to you at dinner later” that night but he said”oh yeah how about all night over and over again”. He broke up with her even before dinner so he never heard it in person :,(
My lifelong favorite will be Tobey but I will never ever say how incredible he played the role of Peter Parker. Andrew Garfield had more feeling, more emotions, more expectation and that makes him unique.
Andrew honestly would have been a fantastic MCU Spider-Man if Sony didn't can him shortly after TASM2 underperformed at the box office. This isn't meant to be disrespectful to Tom bc he is good. But Andrew easily has the best filmography between them and unfortunately got saddled with the worst screenplays for his own Spider-Man movies.
Some scenes of Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (the 2 most hated Spider-Man movies) are BEAUTIFUL Really hope to see more of Tobey and Andrew in new Spider-Man movies
What I love about Spiderman is that he never catches a break. His life never really gets better, he suffers and experiences life just like we do, where it feels unfair, where it feels like it’s hit after hit. But he never gives up. He always staggers to his feet, puts on his mask, and does what needs to be done, because he can. We should all be like Spiderman. The world doesn’t revolve around us, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need us. We all can be just like him
@Darkile I see Aunt May said to Parker the same thing with great power there must also come great responsibility Peter 2 & 3 knew this for what Ben said it's what they do and for Parker to do the right thing in May's honor not to make the same mistakes they did Peter 2 mourns his uncle as he pulled through the darkness Peter 3 redeem himself at the right time and saved Michelle Jones preventing the same fate that happened to Gwen Stacy his MJ he lost months ago at the tower led to his failure to save her from the very beginning leading to Harry getting revenge not getting the cure
i searched "the amazing spider man 2 peter talk to aunt may about uncle ben stuff" and "peter ask aunt may how to move on" and this is the video i am looking for i hope youtube let people who need to move on, find this video
This movie without that end definitely wouldn’t have been the same the feelings I have when I see that end are indescribable this theme song in back ground that summer sun that speech it’s so wow
Maybe Yes, but Tom Holland's Spider-Man makes EVERYONE forget him. Like literally Everyone: Those who loves him His friends Family And I don't mention that in Spider-Man No Way Home his Aunt May died, so i don't know if Andrew's Spider-Man suffered the most... I mean they Could Remember Spider-Man, but don't remember Peter's himself tho
Years later, he meets his younger and older variants from other universes and saves one of them's girlfriend which also saves him from his same painful fate.

If Sony greenlits TASM3, they'll have to get rid of AVI ARAD Or else, it will be just another failure Or they could hire Phil Lord and Chris Miller to produce it They could save it from Arad the same way they did with SPIDERVERSE
It's a real shame we didn't get to see The Amazing Spider-Man series continue because I can think of a whole plethora of villains that Andrew Garfield Spider-Man hasn't fought yet like Doctor Octopus vulture Venom Carnage The List just goes on and on but I think Doctor Octopus and the vulture we're going to appear in the series sometime soon because we saw their equipment teased at Oscorp at the end of the movie doctor octopuses tentacles and vultures wings as for Venom and Carnage I think there would be a spin-off film where Spider-Man teams up with Venom to defeat Carnage
I don’t know why but it all feels so wrong… aunt May did loose uncle Ben, but at least they managed to have a life together…grow somewhat old together. Gwen and Peter had a whole life ahead of them…I don’t think I’ll ever get over this
The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of the producer Laura Ziskin It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1 Without her, Alvin Sargent didn't return to write the sequel, and so they brought the writers from Transformers Spiderman was nothing without her

Exactly where this TH-cam video ended is when the movie should have ended IMO. We didn’t need to see a 3rd villain in the already chaotic movie and although I liked the scene with the kid I don’t think the ending necessarily needed it, seeing peter take up the mask again provided enough hopefulness.
But still struggle throught years as he didn't stop punch himself until no way home he finally overcome past failure to save MCU Spiderman's girlfriend
If bale batman and Andrew Spiderman has crossover, bale batman: Peter, Gwen was right, because anyone can become a hero, even you give a kid a clothes and tell him the world didn't end it . Peter: Bruce Wayne? Bale batman: yes , i am Bruce Wayne but batman can be anyone, he is a symbol just like Spiderman

Definitely like I’d pay money for encounters between Andrews Peter and RDJ tony
@@jaylenmitchell7165if he were in mcu andrew’s spider will definitely on cap’s side
@@afarrel3195 I ain’t gon lie he probably would considering his Peter wouldn’t care about the offers Tony stark would make toward him
It looks like he aged 10 years after Gwen died
Depression does that
Well did this Peter Parker realize she would’ve wanted him to be Spider-Man even though she’s dead?
Gwen was so young! She was all set up for college, then it was all taken away from her.
when he watches the speech made me cry 2:38
Gru vs me vs Doll vs Luigi vs Mario vs Dru vs j vs Uzi doorman vs Sonic vs Goku
Some scenes of Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (the 2 most hated Spider-Man movies) are BEAUTIFUL
Really hope to see more of Tobey and Andrew in new Spider-Man movies
This guy needs a good story amazing spiderman is cool
This speech was touching.
Thank you Emma Stone. ❤️
Everyone says the end this movie is dissepointing and heart breaking but i have this is most meaningfull end....love this movie forever
Although these films weren’t anything special, Garfield is an incredible actor
Most underrated movie and what a beautiful scene, happy they did justice to Andrew's version of Spider-Man
What I love about Spiderman is that he never catches a break. We all can be just like him
Peter 3 was Greive stricken and unable to save his MJ Gwen Stacy died in his arms all is left is her speech
And then he became rageful and bitter and it's very possible that he even killed some of his enemies
@@wellingtonafonsodecarvalho9842 that's why he stopped pulling his punches
@Darkile I see Aunt May said to Parker the same thing with great power there must also come great responsibility Peter 2 & 3 knew this for what Ben said it's what they do and for Parker to do the right thing in May's honor not to make the same mistakes they did Peter 2 mourns his uncle as he pulled through the darkness Peter 3 redeem himself at the right time and saved Michelle Jones preventing the same fate that happened to Gwen Stacy his MJ he lost months ago at the tower led to his failure to save her from the very beginning leading to Harry getting revenge not getting the cure
i searched "the amazing spider man 2 peter talk to aunt may about uncle ben stuff" and "peter ask aunt may how to move on"
and this is the video i am looking for
i hope youtube let people who need to move on, find this video
So emotional
yes you right
This movie without that end definitely wouldn’t have been the same the feelings I have when I see that end are indescribable this theme song in back ground that summer sun that speech it’s so wow
Andrew Garfield - The Best Spider-Man!
Andrew Garfield, the hero who suffered the most. 😢
Maybe Yes, but Tom Holland's Spider-Man makes EVERYONE forget him. Like literally Everyone:
Those who loves him
His friends
Family
And I don't mention that in Spider-Man No Way Home his Aunt May died, so i don't know if Andrew's Spider-Man suffered the most...
I mean they Could Remember Spider-Man, but don't remember Peter's himself tho
He needed time to understand & accept that even superheroes are human and can’t save everyone.
Years later, he meets his younger and older variants from other universes and saves one of them's girlfriend which also saves him from his same painful fate.
Is that real In comics?

Fun fact: Aunt May knows Peter is Spider-Man in this movie
Cheer up Peter Gwen is here in that speech
This has easily become my favourite video soon after watching it. Cos even i am going through the lost phase of my life just as spidey.
My best spider man actor ever ❤
I just graduated and this video came up on my recommendation

This is a good scene. One of the best in TASM series. But you need to chill out with all that "best scene ever created.." bull
@ ok a lot of these scenes you mentioned made me laugh. You can like some other scenes more than this, but god damn what were you smoking when you included a few of those scenes in your list.
@@49HEALTH which ones do you think I was smoking something when I included?
@@drysten887 I’m not listing them cuz it’s mostly everything. There’s only a few that I think you could maybe like more, but it’s still kind of a reach.

If Sony greenlits TASM3, they'll have to get rid of AVI ARAD
Or else, it will be just another failure
Or they could hire Phil Lord and Chris Miller to produce it
They could save it from Arad the same way they did with SPIDERVERSE
That guy’s on everything Spider Man
I remember this movie. Crying since i saw Gwen in that scene. Mourning for some years. This movie and I understood each other.
I comeback to this speech during tough times 🥲🙏🏼
So inspirational!
I cried hearing her speech
We needed so desperately and the third movie. There is a whole inside us.
We need it, but probably never get it, Andrew himself confirmed that he don't know anything about 3rd movie
Its soo sad
He saved the world but he couldnt save HIS world❤😢
My graduation speech on meeting rooms might would just like regular people. But wish you remember me, if you mind. Peter 🙂
I don’t know why but it all feels so wrong… aunt May did loose uncle Ben, but at least they managed to have a life together…grow somewhat old together. Gwen and Peter had a whole life ahead of them…I don’t think I’ll ever get over this
The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of the producer Laura Ziskin
It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth
Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1
Without her, Alvin Sargent didn't return to write the sequel, and so they brought the writers from Transformers
Spiderman was nothing without her
Really!!!???🤯 Writters were from Transformers!?!?
@@lakshaysaroha7305 Avi Arad wanted something simple done as quick as possible, so they brought the cheapest writers big budget studios could find
That's how we got Morbius
@@RayMcElroy50 Did Transformers write Morbius too?
@@lakshaysaroha7305 Oh no, Morbius was made by the writers from "Gods of Egypt" and "The Last Witch Hunter"
By the way, they're the ones behind MADAME WEB

Heart broken into multiple pieces....
TASM2 has a lot things working against it but it’s emotional beats isn’t one of them.
Underrated Aunt May. Love Sally.
God, I love this movie…
I just keep watching this movie again and again, i just dunno why! But i love this movie
This speech choked me up
It’s a total given that May KNEW
It's 2024 10 years this film now wasnt good storyline but the Gwen death scene is still horrifying and this ending is still worth watching even nwh movie he came back but still want tasm 3 and know what happened after tasm 2
Well they were planning TASM 3 but it was scrapped.
How ironic it is the movie starts nearly with gwen 's speech and ends with her speech
it all makes sense why did Gwen chose those words, really amazing.
Everytime im watching this im in tears 😭
But still struggle throught years as he didn't stop punch himself until no way home he finally overcome past failure to save MCU Spiderman's girlfriend
Hope is good so keep it alive because some even not having it
That where you going question was real.
I am sure Aunt May is know
with great power comes great responsibility
Peter 1: Uncle Ben said it...
Peter 3: Before he died. 😢
No Way Home
I promise I will hold on to hope🤙🏻❤
Peter she's watching you over heaven
If bale batman and Andrew Spiderman has crossover, bale batman: Peter, Gwen was right, because anyone can become a hero, even you give a kid a clothes and tell him the world didn't end it . Peter: Bruce Wayne? Bale batman: yes , i am Bruce Wayne but batman can be anyone, he is a symbol just like Spiderman
since this movie came out i said imma copy ts speech word for word on my grads day
Aunt may: Peter where are you going?
Peter: idk
Honestly makes me tear up everytime, I honestly would feel the same way if I ever lost someone like Gwen Stacy, but her speech does really pick you back up though
damn this be making me sad we need a 3rd one so i can get through it with bro
Man this scene hits me like a truck
It's easy to feel hopeful on a beautiful day like today, but there will be dark days ahead of us too. There will be days where you feel all alone, and that's when hope is needed most. No matter how buried it gets, or how lost you feel, you must promise me that you will hold on to hope. Keep it alive. We have to be greater than what we suffer. My wish for you is to become hope; people need that. And even if we fail, what better way is there to live? As we look around here today, at all of the people who helped make us who we are, I know it feels like we're saying goodbye, but we will carry a piece of each other into everything that we do next, to remind us of who we are, and of who we're meant to be.
We have to be greater than what we suffer
AWESOME VIDEO!
