it's so weird that this is a thing in a series like kingdom hearts of all things. It's also weird in a series like Persona, where one of the games is literally about "reaching out to the truth" and accepting people for who they are and stuff, yet people can be really mean while claiming to genuinely love the series. like, did you learn anything? Or did that stuff just go over your head?
I won't lie and I hate to say it a lot of kh channels and "fans" aren't they do it for viewership and do it for subs cause the kh community can be very accepting at the same time and welcome it and they use for these purposes cause you can see people who will jump in the end of the series act like they know what's going on see the vid did good so they play through everything it wasn't about the journey and they liked it, it was about the attention it gained and that's why you see these click bait thumbnails with someone crying even tho it's there first game and it's probably mid series and it makes no sense. They also see it as an opportunity to pull other bigger channels together to gain traction and say they follow it for a long time but then when asked with questions about the series they either get it wrong or don't remember lol

I know exactly what you’re talking about, even though I was only thrown into the KH fandom because I supported a TH-camr for a completely different series and they are also very into the KH series. I was apart of their Discord server and they talked so much about the series and so many people agreed with what they were saying. If you disagreed with something, everyone on this Discord server, would attack that person, as if what they said, was illegal or something. (I’m no longer in that server because I was attacked by those people for having opposing opinions on something. They didn’t attack in an extreme toxic way, like “you should die” way, but more like my opinions were illegal and should only accept their opinions. After that, I left and no longer support that TH-camr) It’s terrible that the KH fandom is like that. I wanted to write a fan fic about some KH characters, but I’m terrified of posting it online and the KH fans will start rioting over it, even though it’s going to be on characters that we know very little about (the Foretellers). Unfortunately this isn’t a KH exclusive problem. I’ve been in other fandoms and it’s also present in them as well. This is why I try to avoid fandoms, in general.
I definitely understand your feelings entirely I usually go with canon and legitimate means of factual premise but if someone makes there own stuff and if the other person doesn't like it leave it alone it's just people cannot get that thru there minds for whatever reason. It sucks that drives people out of the stuff they love or are passionate about but that's why I choose to have a good circle of friends and try to understand somebody elses topic

Kingdom hearts has a large queer community for a reason. A series about being true to yourself and your friends while also having a core theme of identity. I like the idea of some of the queer ships that people have and if you dont like them thats fine. The Japanese is actually way more queercoded especially with Riku and Sora but thats irrelevant. As a Transwoman if you treat me politley and let me live my life. Kingdom hearts is a series that led me to keep going. It helped me figure out exactly who i was especially with Xion's story. Im completley. the issue is when the antilgbtq+ people get involved and attempt to argue for genocide (not an exaggeration) of the 10 stages I. Classification ii. Symbolization iii. Discrimination iv. Dehumanization v. Organization vi. Polarization vii. Preparation viii. Persecution ix. Extermination x. Denial we are already at stage 6 in america. No one should be in fear of getting killed for being different. Death threats are also not an appropriate reaction to the people actually advocating for this. Ending this whole spiel with this final message Let people be happy with who they are and live their lives if you disagree with them just let them live their lives and you live yours. Fight for their rights to be equal though because if you dont eventually the people taking their rights away will come after your rights and the people who would have fought alongside you will already be dead and gone. It's that simple. Be kind people because its almost too late.
This is something I believe in both sides where people have there own stories and situations not that yours is wrong it’s correct and I hate that it is cause it shouldn’t be this way but it does happen to the other side as well for just them having different opinions on the games matter or for other out looks and I think it’s fair to say on every end not everyone can come to agree but it’s best to get a majority I’m proud for y’all standing up and understanding the concept I conveyed

It's sad what's happening to the community, that's why I'm always away from any fandom... However... Their fear is totally understandable. We are aware that some fandoms could have a strong influence towards some projects. It's scary that the previous vision the creators had for their characters is influenced and shifted in order to appease the fandom and therfore damage the vision they had as a whole. I'm saying this because we could notice the huge influence Disney had with KHIII, which ended up killing the excitement for the series for many of us.
Yeah no if you’ve been apart of the community deep or for a long time this stuff happens quite often through socials most the time never in get togethers I don’t see myself but definitely through platforming and it really sucks to see happen and no one really likes to speak on the matter cause a lot of people don’t know what to say about it or what to do which is fair and I can understand

I totally agree that this is a huge problem, and I’m glad that you’re speaking out about this to get the message across. I’ve seen a lot of fandoms like this, and as someone with autism and even wondering if I’m part of the LGBT community myself, people sending death threats and attacking each other is just a HUGE no no. It may take a long time for this to stop, but it will eventually. I hate how some people treat others just because they’re different. We need to come to a common ground and collaborate despite our differences!
It comes from both ends of the spectrum not as if straight people have oppression or anything of political sort just they can be attacked for not liking relationship head canon or stuff with being with someone else but same vice versa it needs to come to common grounds to accepting the people neither side needs to like each others ideologies of there aspect but at least be okay with whatever there way of choice is because it's them as a person not something or someone you cannot converse with and it's important to be just be willing to come to agree rather then banter and have huge disproportionate conversation that go out of control. It's been like this in every fandom, it's just that narcissistic people have also access to the internet and found a way to connect. that's why I typically stay away from these groups. It's just a drag to subject myself to that kind of thing. Because removing it is pretty darn difficult. Instead I have my small circle of friends that I talk to daily. Like We're social creatures but I don't think we're ready to be this connected. Might be a really weird take but it's just how I feel, I think having like a group of 10 to talk to is already plenty and makes it hard to keep up.

@Final_RPG I'm completely with you but I think its very difficult. Like just think about it. With the Internet all of a sudden the entire world got connected. Different ideas, customs, cultures. And people have been fighting wars over such things for even longer than that. I don't wanna sound pessimistic because I'm sure we'll get there, but the road might be long and as shown through history we're very persistent unless things start to really go down the drain.

Although ive never been harassed myself, as a straight person ive seen terrible things be said about... well people like me. Kingom Hearts is favotite thing in the world. The fact that people are using it to cause others hurt, well, hurts my heart. I've always seen Kingdom Hearts as Somethings that's pure and supposed to cause happiness. The same happiness it's given me for all these years. To see all of this feels like a betrayal of everythings Kingdom Hearts stands for. I say let people enjoy it the way they want to. So long as no one's getting hurt, of course. Because as I staned before that would be a betrayal of what Kingdom Hearts is. But that's just my two cents on the subject.
Kingdom Hearts Fandom is very large in its influence across various other media franchises. We have a huge amount coming from being: Disney fans with no JRPG knowledge, JRPG fans who've grown jaded to Disney, fans of both, and people who enjoy Kingdom Hearts for what it is. The one I want to draw attention to is the "Disney Haters". I'm not sure if you keep close tabs on movies, animations, and Hollywood but recently there's been an increasingly large amount of hate towards Disney as a whole. There are people who hate Disney so much they try the Queer Code every Disney film. An infamous example of this was Luka where they insisted it was a movie about a Gay Boy when in fact it was the writer using his own life story with his best friend. They love each other like brothers but they try to paint it as "Lovers". That crowd then bled over to Kingdom Hearts. So what we're dealing within the Fandom is a profound amount of Toxicity in every direction due to conflicting interests as to why we're even interested in Kingdom Hearts. Some of us are in it for Disney, Gameplay, Story, FF Characters, the crossover, and etc. Which you would think would be far more toxic with two major communities clashing when actually it is purely the Toxic Disney Fans trying to convert characters identities. The same ones who constantly bash on Frozen because it was about a Cis-Hetero Sister relationship. I wish I was joking but it's getting worse and worse as these people re-write every film to fit their narrative. That's why you get weird comments like "This is why I hate centrists". Kingdom Hearts is under attack by these narrative re-writers because of the thematically open nature of the storytelling. But unfortunately to do so is also stepping on any potential of people coming up with their own thoughts about the Kingdom Hearts world. While also risking sounding gatekeeping. This is why I genuinely wish we had a bigger Kingdom Hearts Story channel.

A friend showed me this video and I wanted to show where I stand on all this, your right fandoms are supposed to bring people together to support others not tear them down and make them feel worthless. To some people their fandom is the one place they can turn but if they have different views on othera they will take their life due to feeling unwanted by everyone because they get attacked, I'm a part of many communities they all get divided on certain things but in the end it's one whole community. With kingdom hearts if you don't support the gay ships your the problem and your treated as a nobody which hurt ones sense of belonging cause they came to this community to have friends about the game series that is solely about the friends you make and the strength of those bonds and how it makes us stronger, those who attack others for not sharing the same opinions and force their own on others they are the true nobody's this community should be the embodiment of accepting others not everyone will have the same opinions and it's fine cause we're all human.

Mate, that's literally not a problem. There have been far worse. Got kicked out of the Facebook KH Community because back in 2017, way before KH3 release, people just wanted to prove really hard that Xehanort was a nice guy doing what was right through the wrong way, and ever since KH 3D back in 2012, people just hated Sora's gut solely because his character arc in that game got downgraded and if you just did not praise and lick Riku's ass, you'd be called as annoying, dumb and simply not a real KH Fan. I doubt Straight X Gay is a KH problem, because it's far worse than it. Being Bi myself, there's more problem between Gays X Bi far worse than Gay X Straight... Either way, there's a saying that goes something like "If there are gays, there's no peace", and that's is a fact

Personally I dont support the LGBTQ community because my faith tells me its wrong but i still have tons of online friends who identify from the community and theyre just like everyone else. I like talking to them and usually things like these dont even get in the way and i make sure not to mention anything that could make them uncomfortable or spark an argument. I really understood where youre coming from because once, an online friend got really mad at me because they assumed i could just ignore my religous teachings and support it regardless. Respect goes both ways and forcing your ideology onto someone is just weird.

it's so weird that this is a thing in a series like kingdom hearts of all things. It's also weird in a series like Persona, where one of the games is literally about "reaching out to the truth" and accepting people for who they are and stuff, yet people can be really mean while claiming to genuinely love the series. like, did you learn anything? I won't lie and I hate to say it a lot of kh channels and "fans" aren't they do it for viewership and do it for subs cause the kh community can be very accepting at the same time and welcome it and they use for these purposes cause you can see people who will jump in the end of the series act like they know what's going on see the vid did good so they play through everything it wasn't about the journey and they liked it, it was about the attention it gained and that's why you see these click bait thumbnails with someone crying even tho it's there first game and it's probably mid series and it makes no sense. They also see it as an opportunity to pull other bigger channels together to gain traction and say they follow it for a long time but then when asked with questions about the series they either get it wrong or don't remember lol

I know exactly what you’re talking about, even though I was only thrown into the KH fandom because I supported a TH-camr for a completely different series and they are also very into the KH series. I was apart of their Discord server and they talked so much about the series and so many people agreed with what they were saying. If you disagreed with something, everyone on this Discord server, would attack that person, as if what they said, was illegal or something. (I’m no longer in that server because I was attacked by those people for having opposing opinions on something. They didn’t attack in an extreme toxic way, like “you should die” way, but more like my opinions were illegal and should only accept their opinions. After that, I left and no longer support that TH-camr)
It’s terrible that the KH fandom is like that. I wanted to write a fan fic about some KH characters, but I’m terrified of posting it online and the KH fans will start rioting over it, even though it’s going to be on characters that we know very little about (the Foretellers).
Unfortunately this isn’t a KH exclusive problem. I’ve been in other fandoms and it’s also present in them as well. This is why I try to avoid fandoms, in general.
I definitely understand your feelings entirely I usually go with canon and legitimate means of factual premise but if someone makes there own stuff and if the other person doesn't like it leave it alone it's just people cannot get that thru there minds for whatever reason. I like the idea of some of the queer ships that people have and if you dont like them thats fine. The Japanese is actually way more queercoded especially with Riku and Sora but thats irrelevant. However... Their fear is totally understandable. We are aware that some fandoms could have a strong influence towards some projects.
It's scary that the previous vision the creators had for their characters is influenced and shifted in order to appease the fandom and therfore damage the vision they had as a whole.
I'm saying this because we could notice the huge influence Disney had with KHIII, which ended up killing the excitement for the series for many of us.

I totally agree that this is a huge problem, and I’m glad that you’re speaking out about this to get the message across. I’ve seen a lot of fandoms like this, and as someone with autism and even wondering if I’m part of the LGBT community myself, people sending death threats and attacking each other is just a HUGE no no.
It may take a long time for this to stop, but it will eventually. I hate how some people treat others just because they’re different. We need to come to a common ground and collaborate despite our differences!
It comes from both ends of the spectrum not as if straight people have oppression or anything of political sort just they can be attacked for not liking relationship head canon or stuff with being with someone else but same vice versa it needs to come to common grounds to accepting the people neither side needs to like each others ideologies of there aspect but at least be okay with whatever there way of choice is because it's them as a person not something or someone you cannot converse with and it's important to be just be willing to come to agree rather then banter and have huge disproportionate conversation that go out of control. It's been like this in every fandom, it's just that narcissistic people have also access to the internet and found a way to connect.
that's why I typically stay away from these groups. It's just a drag to subject myself to that kind of thing. Because removing it is pretty darn difficult.
Instead I have my small circle of friends that I talk to daily. Like We're social creatures but I don't think we're ready to be this connected. Might be a really weird take but it's just how I feel, I think having like a group of 10 to talk to is already plenty and makes it hard to keep up.
That is completely fair and reasonable but It would be so much better if people were a lot kinder and understanding to situations on other people's mindsets so people can be more involved into the series but no weird take on your end man I respect that

Like just think about it. With the Internet all of a sudden the entire world got connected. Different ideas, customs, cultures. And people have been fighting wars over such things for even longer than that. I don't wanna sound pessimistic because I'm sure we'll get there, but the road might be long and as shown through history we're very persistent unless things start to really go down the drain.

Although ive never been harassed myself, as a straight person ive seen terrible things be said about... well people like me. Ive seen it so much that... regrettably ive started avoiding people from the lgbt because of the thing's ive seen alot of people from that community say.

Kingom Hearts is favotite thing in the world. The fact that people are using it to cause others hurt, well, hurts my heart. I've always seen Kingdom Hearts as Somethings that's pure and supposed to cause happiness. The same happiness it's given me for all these years. To see all of this feels like a betrayal of everythings Kingdom Hearts stands for. I say let people enjoy it the way they want to. So long as no one's getting hurt, of course. Because as I staned before that would be a betrayal of what Kingdom Hearts is. But that's just my two cents on the subject.

Kingdom Hearts Fandom is very large in its influence across various other media franchises. We have a huge amount coming from being: Disney fans with no JRPG knowledge, JRPG fans who've grown jaded to Disney, fans of both, and people who enjoy Kingdom Hearts for what it is. The one I want to draw attention to is the "Disney Haters". I'm not sure if you keep close tabs on movies, animations, and Hollywood but recently there's been an increasingly large amount of hate towards Disney as a whole. There are people who hate Disney so much they try the Queer Code every Disney film. An infamous example of this was Luka where they insisted it was a movie about a Gay Boy when in fact it was the writer using his own life story with his best friend. They love each other like brothers but they try to paint it as "Lovers". That crowd then bled over to Kingdom Hearts. So what we're dealing within the Fandom is a profound amount of Toxicity in every direction due to conflicting interests as to why we're even interested in Kingdom Hearts. Some of us are in it for Disney, Gameplay, Story, FF Characters, the crossover, and etc. Which you would think would be far more toxic with two major communities clashing when actually it is purely the Toxic Disney Fans trying to convert characters identities. The same ones who constantly bash on Frozen because it was about a Cis-Hetero Sister relationship. I wish I was joking but it's getting worse and worse as these people re-write every film to fit their narrative. That's why you get weird comments like "This is why I hate centrists". Kingdom Hearts is under attack by these narrative re-writers because of the thematically open nature of the storytelling. But unfortunately to do so is also stepping on any potential of people coming up with their own thoughts about the Kingdom Hearts world. While also risking sounding gatekeeping. This is why I genuinely wish we had a bigger Kingdom Hearts Story channel.

A friend showed me this video and I wanted to show where I stand on all this, your right fandoms are supposed to bring people together to support others not tear them down and make them feel worthless. To some people their fandom is the one place they can turn but if they have different views on othera they will take their life due to feeling unwanted by everyone because they get attacked, I'm a part of many communities they all get divided on certain things but in the end it's one whole community. With kingdom hearts if you don't support the gay ships your the problem and your treated as a nobody which hurt ones sense of belonging cause they came to this community to have friends about the game series that is solely about the friends you make and the strength of those bonds and how it makes us stronger, those who attack others for not sharing the same opinions and force their own on others they are the true nobody's this community should be the embodiment of accepting others not everyone will have the same opinions and it's fine cause we're all human.

Got kicked out of the Facebook KH Community because back in 2017, way before KH3 release, people just wanted to prove really hard that Xehanort was a nice guy doing what was right through the wrong way, and ever since KH 3D back in 2012, people just hated Sora's gut solely because his character arc in that game got downgraded and if you just did not praise and lick Riku's ass, you'd be called as annoying, dumb and simply not a real KH Fan. I doubt Straight X Gay is a KH problem, because it's far worse than it. Being Bi myself, there's more problem between Gays X Bi far worse than Gay X Straight... Either way, there's a saying that goes something like "If there are gays, there's no peace", and that's is a fact

Personally I dont support the LGBTQ community because my faith tells me its wrong but i still have tons of online friends who identify from the community and theyre just like everyone else. I like talking to them and usually things like these dont even get in the way and i make sure not to mention anything that could make them uncomfortable or spark an argument. I really understood where youre coming from because once, an online friend got really mad at me because they assumed i could just ignore my religous teachings and support it regardless. Respect goes both ways and forcing your ideology onto someone is just weird.
