For those that are asking about what to sub the sweet radish with, I just tried this recipe with shredded carrots and ground turkey meat and it came out very good.
Yum thank you love your recipes. My mother is from Taiwan my dad is scottish/Irish/English and my Aunt is from Thailand. Thank you again this is one of my favorite food items . Love the sesame balls too
Thanks for the detailed recipe!!! I’ve made these a few times but I can never get the pearls to have that sticky consistency! I’m excited to give it another try with your recipe!! I always steam them too so maybe I’ll try boiling next time too!
I was in Bangkok in March and I had these as street food as well as at high end restaurants. They were soooo yummy and I didn’t know what they were called haha. Finally I can make em at home too!
So why am i just now seeing this channel?? Just liked and subscribed! I love your videos! I love this recipe and will try it soon because i LOVE these! Thx for the upload.
Yum! I am envious of your time and patience with this dish, I've only salivated, never actually attempted! But after watching this, I am super inspired now and will tackle this soon. The blue and pink ones look incredible, did you get a subtle hint of the sweet pea and pitaya flavoring in the tapiocas? And I agree with the garlic oil, I can see them sticking to each other and breaking open while serving. Keep the recipes coming, thanks!
this is my first time seeing someone boil it, seems quicker and easier then to steam? does it make it taste different at all between steaming and boiling it?
I love your videos! I was wondering, if I make some in advance and store them in the freezer to steam a couple days later, will it still be okay to steam? Will it fall apart on me?
@@CHerCreations GOOD MORNING ! WHERE CAN I ORDER THE EXACT ASIAN RADDISH THAT YOU'RE USING ? NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE, BEEN WATCHING ALL YOUR VIDEOS , THANK YOU !
@@apetlambinicio6585 good morning! I’m not sure where they would have it in your location. But we have it in the fridge section of our local Asian grocery stores.
You can, but the sweetness is what binds the filling together. I'm not sure what you can substitute that won't affect the flavor. You might have to use a thickener like corn starch or something to bind it together if you don't want sweetness.

You don't really taste the sweet pea or the pitaya. It's great for the color though :)

Did u try this n see if it works?
I like Saku Sai Moo as well. Can you read in Thai?
That shirt colour suits you so much that is distracting. 😂🤗
It really looks great on you.👍🏻
Is it ok to substitute the tapioca pearl with tapioca starch/flour? Will it still work the same?
Is this good eaten cold/room temperature?
@@1234me-n7h right after it’s done cooking, let it chill for a bit to come to warm/room temp for best consumption. Cold hardens the tapioca.
Yummy!😋
I got worried when u said sweet & salty pickled radish cuz I'm not a fan of sweet much but then u say u rinsed it haha mood
if i don’t have tapioca pearls can i use tapioca starch in place of it?
Where can I buy the bagged radishes
will using tapioca flour be too fine?
What can I use to substitute for the Asian sweet radish? Or can I leave it out?
You can leave it out if you can't find it.
Hello ! Good morning ! Can i ommit the asian raddish ? I couldn't find it here! Thank u ! Watching from PHILIPPINES!
You can but it will have the missing crunch and a little umami factor to it. :)

no dipping sauce?
Can I use sago pearls instead of tapioca pearls ?
Yes
Lao people steam it in banana leaf. And we dont smash the tapioca bc it will be chewy. If you like chewy mochi to each they own
WHATTTT OMG
I hate that it's too sweet..is there a substitute n make just savory n no sweet?

i had trouble with the tapioca pearls sticking to my hand.:(
everytime I boil my tapioca balls, they break...I´ve tried everything...so I just steam my t-balls :-D
Hi
