Hey everyone! Welcome back to my channel and today's vlog is going to be documenting my day of having to write a research essay for my Ethno 50B class on the history of modern jazz, more specifically, a paper about Dizzy Gillespie. I was able to conduct my research in the library to get some hard copy sources and I conducted some online research for some additional sources as well. Once I had that it was time to write my paper and in doing so I wanted to let you all know about Grammarly, a free browser extension that helps spell check and grammar check your online writing with things like social media posts and emails. There's also a premium version that can be integrated into your entire computer and into your document writing program like Microsoft Word. I currently have the free version and wanted to show you some of the cool features of it because it is now a staple for my Chrome browser because it helps my grammar when writing emails. I am so happy to be working with Grammarly to bring to you all this amazing free tip in helping your grammar! I was able to pump out my paper in one night and I know you all will be able to succeed in school too, but a little help never hurts :)

DON’T OVERTHINK IT. It doesn’t matter if it’s 2page or 10+ that’s the biggest thing don’t add more power to the essay or whatever assignment!!!

The best advice when doing a research paper or paper in general is choose a topic you know a lot about. Also, if you don’t feel like typing or want to cut out some of the typing. You can go to your notes on your phone and use speak and talk your paper up. Then send it to email copy and paste into word document and edit. Thirdly, do all your research first and take notes. During that process you can brainstorm your paper and highlights you want to talk about. Also I find it easier to write the body first then write the intro and conclusion. Proof read it, get a friend to or use Grammarly or any other revision site. Lastly, to check for any plagiarism run it by Unicheck. Realistically procrastination is not the way to go but it can be done if you focus.

Hey I am about to write a really long term paper, a 15 page one!! So when we use grammarly, will it record the writing and later be detected as plagiarism?!!! And can you please suggest a free plagiarism tester which we can use while writing our paper and which won't save our work (and then have it detected as plagiarism later)?
You can integrate it to MS word. It auto corrects. Alternatively you can upload the paper to your grammarly account, check and correct the mistakes and then download it. If you need help working on your papers, please let me know.

Hmmm.... Try writing a 20 page term paper in one night (research already done) in one night. I pulled that one off when I was taking an extra classes because I liked the professor and wanted his perspective on the subject. I was a non-traditional student and pulled this off when I was 38 years old (so much for the belief that "old" people can't go sleepless.)

Writing your assignment overnight is really stressful and there’s no
guarantee you’ll do it right. A few weeks ago I needed to write a research
paper and submit it the next day and there’s no way I could manage it
myself but luckily I googled and found this one company called Solid Essay
