Writing a 2000 word essay. "I have zero words". But he's done the flaming reading and got his sources. That's pretty much half of his essay. Idk, he's in a better position than the mess I'm in. Bloody brilliant!
Zubair Kazi In all of his videos he’s usually quite organized and has an idea of what he’s going to say, where he’s heading etc. i wish I could’ve done that, instead I always waited till the last day (not the night before) with no plan on what I’m doing, had to cut other classes sometimes just to finish the essay lmao. Good thing I’m 25 and done with all of that.

That's what I usually do. I just take my time out of everyday and gather as much sources as I find interesting, then I end up doing it on the last day. But it's quite easier when you have an idea of what you want to include in your essay
Let's appreciate the fact that Jack had such an assignment for the next day, started at 11:00pm, but still got those aesthetic camera angles for us.

It’s fascinating to see someone with such a wildly different essay approach, where they do all the reading before hand then write - I tend to read a ton just to generate vague understanding, write random sections as ideas come to me, then midway through process I’ll work out what my argument actually is and edit and create the connective tissue last of all. It’s a bit chaotic but functions well for me!

probably because we all go to uni and this is the perfect way to film content AND get essays done!!! it’s the reality of the student experience, I’m just grateful to Vee for the idea of blending both!!

I wrote 1,600 words on Wednesday night and then 1,900 on thursday night/friday morning whilst watching the UK General Eletcion (got very distracted by that). I did some quick grammar checks and handed it in at 11.58am with 2 minutes to spare.

This is the creepiest thing ever - I just finished writing a 2000 word paper. It is now 5 a.m. and I was having a lowkey existential crisis because the deadline is in a few hours and I can't believe I am this uncapable of managing my time... and then this video popped up. Wow. The struggle continues for centuries. Technology makes it all so much easier and your ability to organize research materials is really impressive. Fifty plus years ago I'd be sitting on the floor surrounded by note cards, photocopies of journal articles I hadn't gotten around to reading completely, and a stack of books I hadn't finished. Then after there was a written draft, I'd get to type it up (any error meant starting the page over), being careful to leave space for footnotes at the bottom of the page without going beyond the permitted margin. Pretty sure Gibbon faced forgotten deadlines at Magdalen (probably cursing that he couldn't find a servant to properly sharpen his pens and grind his ink).
Currently writing the outline for a 2000 word essay that's due in 11 hours. This video gave me strength.

Yes! I've done this so many times and the key is to write down or type your thoughts and create a plan.
Even if you dont feel like you have the time, you'll save LOTS of time by organizing your thoughts first.

Though, tbh, some of my greatest papers were from me winging it. But it's way less stressful the other way, trust.😗

Hi Jack! That reminds me 2 days ago where I had to write 3.500 words in 2 days... I wasn't panicked until I started writing it. The past 2 days I slept only for 4 hours and 12 hours straight on pc before I finally deliver it. I was worried I wouldn't get the right amount of words, but I ended up having 500 more words. The typical part is done and I hope there is some meaning in it. (fingers crossed!!). Btw I use padlet for mapping out my essay structure and main points. It helps me a lot! Cheers! Keep it up!!

Deriving some kind of a sadistic pleasure from this, while thinking about my essays which are due next week ;-;
Top tip write your plan on your computer so you can save time writing it out and can just enumerate from that. Also when doing your sources you should paste it in there with their footnotes so you always have your trail easy and visible.

I'm currently in 8th grade and I had to write a 1700 word essay about the french revolution and to what extent Louis XVI was responsible for the outbreak of the revolution. The teacher gave us weeks close to 1 to 1.5 months to prepare and write the essay. I did it all in one afternoon on the day it was due and ended up getting the second best grade lol.
