I try not do this often but it’s a habit 😭 luckily my last Eng prof allowed me to turn my papers in late. But for my soci class, we had a paper to submit last week. I started it at 9:45 pm and turned it in by 1:14 am. It was due 11:59 pm but as long as you turn it in and you’ve worked hard & made sure your writing is clear and engaging by using Grammarly hehe you’re good 🥲💞
Hours before it😂Always doing this cuz I hate the subject but eventually I somehow got an okay grade for that subject. Still would not recommend it cuz it takes too much out of me, like mentally and physically😅

Our group's saying since our first year has been, 'Done is better than perfect.' Whenever we get into crisis mode we remind each other. Well done for keeping it together! I would've cracked.

This is so relatable, I love the how you genuinely show the last minute works and how to deal with it effectively at the same time some how, every student must have done this at some point, well atleast the work is done and out of the way now you can focus. I had this happen to me this semester. It was only 1000 words but I did it in one day though not three hours. But honestly it happens…. That’s why I always write my deadlines EVERYWHERE now. It was so stressful and not worth it at all! I’m sure you did good though 💖🙏🏽 and yes introduction takes the longest always LOL

I am so glad I found your channel Nathan! I always felt alone in my struggles and breakdowns over exams and assignments as you don't really see that part of your fellow students and just being able to see someone else go through the same struggles as I do help me to feel more like I am not some sort of imposter in my master program. So truly thank you Nathan for making these videos.
Done is better than none! Kudos to you for approaching this situation with a positive attitude. I would be an anxious hot mess! I've never left an assignment this late, but I have definitely left myself very little time to complete complicated essays. I think the only way to get through this type of situation is to stay positive, don't let the anxiety suck you down, and be strategic about hitting the points as best you can. Any grade is better than zero! Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine! :)

I'm in my final year of school and have gotten so used to leaving assignments to the night before that I cannot start writing until at least the due day. It's weird, the pressure seems to help me in a way and I can easily type out 10k words in a couple of hours but the words don't come to me unless the pressure is on.
For example, I recieved my essay (1500 words) a week ago, I've had all the material for it and everything but am only starting it now even though it is due in 6.5 hours. I know I'll get it done but for some reason I just can't bring myself to start writing in advance. I envy students who can.

This seems like my life most semesters. I often procrastinate or forget about an assignment until the day it is due. It's soooooooo stressful! I have put the due dates of all of my assignments on a calendar which keeps me from forgetting when they are due.

An interesting watch, I hope the all nighter turned out ok, as you say, not something to recommend! There is so much more to essay writing than the mere 'writing' of it! I have just released a video where I use the metaphor of a 'chain' to demonstration there are 5 key interlinking parts to an essay that gets the high marks! All the best, Dr Egan
