    You can tell how intelligent they are by learning vocalizing for different things. We had a chipmunk a couple years back that would climb on the ledge of our screen door, look inside and chirp loudly to get me to hand peanuts to her. She got all excited like that when i would open the screen. That's what cutie reminds me of.

      I remember one of the Window squirrels who used to copy the movement of sliding opening the window to get in. She always looked a bit annoyed that she couldn't get the window to slide open. So sweet.

      They are actually very intelligent. Mine can actually follow directions with my finger and verbally including turn around when I am guiding them to food. (Some of the boys not so much but my girls are amazing at it)

    The one squirrel who came to my old house that I named peanut would get a cap full of peanut butter from me. Peanut also would pull apart peanut butter crackers I fed her and lick the peanut butter off them and not eat the crackers. Just loved it.

    Adorable, and as for Cutie, I think she might be pregnant. Gravid females become so much friendlier when they are pregnant for some reason, I've had them sit on my lap and happily rummage through my bags looking for more nuts. Keep it up and enjoy!

    So how long will it take for unnamed squirrel to: A) be named and B) start trusting you enough that he/she will take food from your hand? I've mentioned this before but the squirrels in my yard will not approach closer than 5-10 feet even after years to feeding them. You must be the squirrel whisperer!

      I only name them when I can tell them apart from other squirrels. And regarding the squirrels feeling comfortable enough to take food from my hand, it depends on each squirrels, some get comfortable very fast and others very slow or never.       @@Squirrels_at_the_window Oh? That is very interesting! Our squirrels like it very much. Just today a squirrel here ate remnants of an avocado (even with peel!) (film follows 😜); they also nibble cucumbers, strawberries, melons from time to time. But they especially love to eat carrots! (I have 🎥-evidence 🥰🤣 - here in the comment without link, because YT likes to hide such comments).
      Maybe this is also a difference between the gray American squirrels and the red European ones? Or just coincidence ...

    I think this one is the absolute best of all Squirrels at the Window episodes so far. Cutie has what it takes to be a star for sure. Er, just between us though, you might suggest a volumizing shampoo & conditioner imo...her tail could do with a little filling out
