I remember reading something on a message board years ago that ABC, Aaron Spelling & the Shapiro's were in talks with CBS and Dallas's counterparts to Spelling and the Shapiro's to possibly do that. The crossover would've started on Dynasty. In fact, it was said that the groundwork to actually start this story line/crossover was actually seen in season 5 (pretty sure it was season 5). There was an episode where Blake was trying to buy an oil location (can't remember the actual term for it,) for Denver Carrington and Steven was also trying to buy that same property for Colby Co. The location of this property was Texas if you remember. In this version Blake and Denver Carrington would've been the one that got that oil instead of Steven & Colby Co. Blake travels to Texas to see his new land and when he arrives there (this would've been the episode finale) he goes straight into meet the guy who tried to apologize to Krystal that this version did sell Blake the land, only to have the chair behind the desk swing around to reveal that Blake had bought the property from JR & The Ewing's! This storyline, again from what I read years ago on a message board (on Soap Central I think) would've also been the catalyst to bring in Jason Colby and The Colbys.
Joan got the gown episode wrong..the one on the doll is the one she wore to Amanda's wedding party when Amanda got "sick" and didn't show up. The gown from Fallon's wedding, one of her best, was a hit. This gown to my knowldege has not shown up for sale yet as other Dynasty wardrobe pieces have.
A sequel series of this could work far better than the Dallas version since everyone is still alive, sans Forsythe, and working...for the most part. Have the show open with Blake dead, his empire is splitting up and the vultures emerge. Pamela Sue Martin back as Fallon would work, Alexis, Crystal still hate each other; now the grandkids take their place. Gordom Thompson as Adam is a must as well.... Jack Coleman was played Steven longer, so get him.... Heather Locklear, Dianne Carroll of course.... ... boom and boom.
I don't recall Linda being so broad in the shoulders on Big Valley as she is now. She was so thin on Big Valley. Still a lovely person. I would sue the plastic surgeon and put him or her out of practice for good.

I have to respectfully disagree. I thought she was a HORRIBLE replacement for Fallon. I stopped caring about Fallon when Pamela Sue Martin left.
