Yes I think Joan Collins and Linda Evans are both great ladies long may they reign and seeing some of the older pictures of Joan Collins she was and is so beautiful what a lovely shape her face is and her bone structure is great after being mistreated by that man she married years ago I truly hope she is happy now and Linda Evans too❤
There will never be another show that could even be compared to Dynasty. This TV show ran for 9years. And from beginning to end. I lived!!!!! For Weds evenings to see this show. I mean it gave people everything. Money,Power, Fashion and then some....Yesssss
Such a great show. Watching John and Joan was almost irresistible back then. Anyone else remember it being Wednesday night... and just having to be home to watch Dynasty??

And what's crazy is that Heather Locklear changed the state of Melrose Place, just like Joan did all those years before (both were Spelling productions)

Two of the most beautiful women that ever graced television..and a huge part of the lives of so many of us during the 80's. What a wonderful interview..thanks for the upload! =)
@@rogerjoseph8522 i think it's just their backgrounds combined with very different experience.. linda grew up in california and built her career on television, so she always felt like the down to earth all-american girl next door, while joan was raised in a showbiz family and trained at the royal academy before being brought over in the era of the old hollywood studio system where they taught you how to walk, how to talk, how to dress, how to do an interview, etc, so i think she just tends be more guarded and defaults to a persona she was trained to believe the public expects from a "star", so i wouldn't judge her too harshly based on high profile interviews booked for publicity..
Joan and Linda work so well together, they are a fantastic contrast. I love the way Joan kind of rolls her eyes when Linda says that she went to an enlightenment school and went "inward"- hysterical. Joan is very down to earth and Linda is up in the air, they are yin and yang!!!
I watched Dynasty as a teenager for the fabulous fashion. I was obsessed with it. Nolan Miller was a genius. He essentially single-handedly revived 1940s old Hollywood style. He also dressed stars like Bette Davis and if you look at those clothes, they’re very inspired by Joan Crawford, Bette Davis and the great iconic actresses of the 1930s and 40s.
I think if they really hated each other we would'nt get that chemistry,,,i love and respect both characters,,,,i watch the videos over and over again i am fully entertained,,,thank you Alexis and Krystle
Linda elegantly dodges the question of whether she and Joan got along in real life, but she has said on British TV that Joan was very difficult to work with.
I agree with Joan that the clothes in Dynasty were central to the show. Unless you were around back then most people wouldn't realise the incredible impact the show had on fashion. Those clothes were flattering and wonderful. They were 1940s revival fashions and the lines and silhouettes defines the whole decade. It was true "dressing up" / since then no one "dresses up" anymore they dress down.
The more I learn about Linda Evans the more I am impressed. She even pays sincere compliments to a man who treated her incredibly hurtful and left her for a teenager he had an affair with. I couldn’t do that. Wonderful woman!
That is one of the best interviews of Larry King. You could tell he was smitten by Joan and Linda. Joan still very beautiful but Linda's face looks very different, but she seems always calm and peaceful. Best wishes to both of them.
MAJOR3058 Exactly. Lol I'm not sure if he catches them off guard or if they were warned before coming on the air. Either way, interviews don't get better than Larry King and Barbara Walters in her day.
Larry King was really awful at the end towards Linda, asking her about not having kids. You can see it is painful topic for Linda- she always wanted children and never got a chance to have them. Totally disrespectful.
Love Die-nasty ( as my daddy use to love to call it). Watching all nine seasons on Amazon Prime. Missed a lot because I was a kid and it was my bed time when it aired.
Dynasty was a Soap Opera; a nighttime Soap Opera, but still... better I guess to call it a 'Soap-Drama'. People get totally addicted to them. You sit quietly, unnoticed, somewhere in the corner of the room, - and watch this family, - love and hate, - cry and laugh; and suddenly your not alone, you're a part of it all. Super interview 👍.
I remember the rumors/tabloid covers during the show that said Linda and Joan hated each other. Apparently LIES. They are very pleasant together and their is an obvious camaraderie.
this was just his style.. . and at the time, he really was the king of this format.. i'm sure the ladies knew exactly what they were signing on for and i doubt they found him rude.

I wasn't an avid watcher back in the day (always preferred Dallas and Knots), but now I get why it was such a mega hit ... the score, the sets, the story lines, the acting; it's really was quite special.
Sadly, the play "Legends" did not live up to expectations. The reviews were bad. Also, the experience between the two during the play run dissolved quickly. Joan did something to Linda that was very hurtful. She sold or gave Linda diary to a London tabloid. I was told this by the actor who portrayed Adam Carrington on "Dynasty" one time he came to me when I was doing massage therapy in Los Los Angeles.
George Hirst I’ve always believed Joan was jealous of Linda ( Linda wasn’t that kind of lady that acted like) . Linda ruled the 80s , she did what she needed to do and bounced out of Hollywood ✌🏾. Jealous always try to loud talk or 1 up, . Just observed. The best to both of them.☺️✌🏾
I love how Joan collins says she tried to get in touch with spelling when he was sick but "he wasnt taking any calls". then Linda steps in and says oh I just spent some time with him 8 months ago.... LOL SHADE
LOL! Yes, Spelling made Linda's and Forsythe's salary renegotiations easy because they were nice to people, but he made Collins' renegotiations much harder because Joan always tried to be "difficult" for purposes of establishing status -- and while that might have impressed some producers, not Aaron Spelling. He knew DYNASTY had to have Joan, but he wasn't going to reward her questionable on-set behavior too easily... So much so that once he was dying, he never bothered to speak with Collins or return her calls, yet he invited Forsythe and Evans to his house! Ha!

@@garfielddsouza7781yes it’s known they fought a lot. It’s hard to know who was to blame. John was already a very well known actor by that stage in America.
