From everything I know about Ringo, he is a sweet person still working hard trying to spread the words peace and love that he and his brothers started all those years ago. Ringo has always been the one who took life least seriously among a group of men who all taught us to take life less seriously. He was at most poking fun but certainly not trying to be hurtful. Watch the film “A Hard Days Night” and you can see how silly and fun he is.
We are lucky to still have this dude rocking it into his 80s. Peace and Love!

Out of the Expendables stars, Jason Statham has never guested Conan. Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, Terry Crews, Banderas, Chuck Norris, Dolph Lundgren, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Jet Li and Liam Hemsworth has guested Conan.
He needs to interview Dua Lipa and make jokes about her name like he did in podcast.

To be a Beatle from age 20 to 80 is a giant sacrifice. These men can’t be normal folk ever again. They gave their lives to be our icons.
There were some perks too. Banging on a drum and getting paid oodles sure beats flipping burgers, or working in a coal mine... especially if you'e involved in making great music that has had a transformative impact on much of the world.

They left the Beatles in massive debt. The residuals caught up to them, but Ringo is still out touring at 80. He still has bills to pay.

Most folks struggle in life, doing shitty work for shitty pay... and there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I don't feel sorry for Ringo, on the contrary, I celebrate his contributions to music and beyond. I sure as hell don't begrudge him for amassing a fortune. Good for Ringo.

It's hard to imagine they would have gotten another drummer who had as much character in his playing . There aren't many rock drummers who are so easy to recognize by their sound , even to a non drummer . Alex Van Halen , Jim Keltner , Neil Peart , John Bonham and Ringo are just about it.

He was reminiscing about something he said to his mother when he was 18. The story isn't going to change because John was shot 22 years later... which would have been when Ringo was 40 and his mother asked him if he still felt the same way.

I always loved music . When I was 8 ( 1981) my parents bought a big floor console record player and I would sit there spinning my older sister's albums. Sweet , Humble Pie , Badfinger, Aerosmith , Led Zeppelin , Police all were great albums I spun a lot but I realized quickly that the red album with the apple had more good songs than all the others. It stirred my imagination in a totally different way than the other groups. It seemed very exotic to me. I could tell they weren't American , even tho they were probably trying to sound like they were. They were totally unique and still are
