Sugar Hill is a classic that was really slept on to me. The brotherhood dynamic definitely reminds me of Jason's lyric as well. Clarence Williams performance was great.
I saw this movie several years ago. Clarence’s character’s death was honestly one of the saddest and most disturbing scenes I’ve ever seen in a movie. Ugh.
Great review, Sugar Hill is a good film, the film was very suspenseful, one of Wesley Snipes best roles, and Clarence Willams played the his role perfectly, but his best role in my opinion is Tales from the Hood, Merry Christmas🎄
I’m binging your content Sis! You are not only thoughtful and fin history knowledgeable, but HILARIOUS! from one storyteller to another, you’re the bomb!
Definitely my movie right here love that part when they took oh boy in the field and sung TKO & shot him at the same time 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂with that Ruger P-series
@Struggle Reviews TV - Thank You - Thank You - and Thank You again for this cogent, insightful - and dope review - you are a great cineaste - I appreciate you - Keep Rising To The Top - GOD Bless you
Peace to Clarence Williams lll and the cast Peace to my dad (he was robbed shot and killed in 2006) Peace to my step dad (he overdosed in 2023) This movie is a massive classic. Peace to Gloria Foster ,she was married to Clarence Williams lll. Much Gratitude for your excellent review.
Your reviews are UNMATCHED 💚 Anyway Romelo was a great man to me & he would've succeeded in any profession. In this case, it just so happened to be in street pharmaceuticals bc that's how he grew up. I love the way you described Ray Nathan. He got on my nerves so bad but I empathized with him(except when he tried to pop Melissa)🤦🏽♀️ Clarence Williams is just.....cinema gold ✨
The bit with the baseball player felt kind of realistic though... Yeah I know it was meant to move the story further along, but something about it makes it seem like it probably happened
@@StruggleReviewzTV It's definitely worth checking out, the movie gives a similar feel like Rosewood just on a different level and from a few different perspectives. It stars Kathy Bates, Jessica Tandy, Mary Stuart Masterson and Mary Louis Parker. It takes place in Alabama during the 1920's.
👍🏾 yeah I the Natalie Cole biopic was actually really good. And I was hoping folks voted for Girl 6. I guess I gotta wait for that movie review. It’s been years since I watched it and wanted an exploration of it cause I was too young to understand anything about that movie.
🎋🎄🎋🎄 you dress like that near the bed I wouldn't be able to watch the damn picture we would be doing other extracurricular things I mean come on that's not fair
Come on I'm not that bad I play a nice Kalinda stop check out Kalimba magic part 3 with me on TH-cam I'm the only one that gets bluesy with this instrument
This movie is both criminally underrated and childhood memories for me. It’s movies like this is why I miss the 90s my childhood.

It’s a hidden gem 💎.
94 was that YEAR...so many dope movies came out

Excellent comparison between Jason's Lyric and Sugar Hill. I also noticed the similarities between these two classics.
They’re both good brother & bad brother stories.

This movie hit home. I'm born & raised in Harlem, 50,60,70's I love my hometown, Sugarhill but what a movie.
Sugar Hill is so dark and underrated. Theresa Randle almost makes it sexy but it’s just too intense.
She let out a soul wrenching scream when Mello got shot

This retro movie was something else back in 1994. I haven't seen this movie in a minute.

Sugar Hill & Jason’s Lyric are twin flims. Can we please get a review on Bluehill Avenue?
Bluehill Ave made me sad for the big guy. He kept thinking death was suppose to come for him since tristian pushed him out the way of the car as kids
@@91Definite I felt bad for him.
Unintentional classic line in this movie
"I CANT DRIIIVE!!!!!!" 😂😂😂
I'm shocked no one is talking about theresa character!!! She was beaten and almost forced by that pyscho basketball player to do oral on him!!!
Great entertaining review, Sugar Hill is so underrated, very powerful and measured.
Loving your content as always, much respect to you👍

Great review 😄
R.I.P. Clarence Williams III and Abe Vigoda.
I din't understand why the critics gave so bad comments about Sugar Hill , at that time .
For me it's a great movie .
The best part of me is that they were singing teddy p love tko when they where shooting at him on the ground and use the bathroom on him
POW!!!🔫
