The fact that there is a No fishing season/ fish breeding season is showing how serious China is taking steps to improve its environment. Good of you to show that too, great work.
Are you joking? They’ve ruined the fisheries of countless African, Asian and South American countries. They’re easily the worst country when it comes to overfishing it’s not even close
Yeah I wouldn't believe a word of that.. or if they do actually have an off season that only applies to their own waters, they are more than happy to deplete and destroy other nations fish stocks all year round.
I landed at Xiamen airport back in 2019, as I walked across the air bridge all the trees were folded in one direction much like matchsticks. It was right after typhoon season, power of nature to respect and behold. One time I didn't envy locals except for delectable fresh oyster glutinous slurry eggs added pancakes. A must if you get to visit🤩😋

For someone like me who is bombarded by the daily China-bashing from the irresponsible Mainstream Media, this is a breath of unpolluted fresh air! Hope you will continue playing your part in contributing to the world both in the environment and the truth!
Hear hear, I can't bear to watch MSM any more. I started noticing the lies and propaganda since Iraq WMDs and now China's the "bad guy" that everyone must hate, fear and stand up to. Utter filth.
Its not the people or the culture that gets bashed. Its the Communist government that uses social credit scores to oppress it's population, blatant corporate theft of technology and imperial conquest of Taiwan that raise legitimate issues. Oh yeah, that pesky Corona virus was a bit of an annoyance the last couple of years too.

The village is really cute ( a word more likely to come from you !!! ) and as one of your followers commented, the scenery is more befitting of a Mediterranean coastal village than one in China. Whatever , all very picturesque and really worth a stopover. It is also comforting to know that the villagers are also aware of the concept of sustainability. this place is 40 minutes drive from my hometown. I have been there many times when I was a kid, but the last time I visited was back on 2013. It’s not as easy to visit and enjoy the seafood again since I moved to US. Thank you for the video so that I know it changed so much, in a good way

I'm from another town named Zeguo泽国 in Wenling! 水潺 is a common dish we eat but I have never seen it cooked as pancake 水潺饼 lol. You are correct indeed the local food in Zhejiang varies so much even for adjacent areas.

Huan was just asking me today about your videos, my reply was "not sure, it's been a while" and then lo and behold there you are! We both loved your work buddy and his flute. As for the fishing ships, well I could live on them for a week, or maybe two, maybe even a month, maybe more. If I did though, I would definitely be alone! Coincidentally, Huan made me some little fish pancakes this week, by that I mean pancakes made with little fish. PS Relax and take your time, we have the patience to wait.
What a coincidence! I wish I could update more frequently but I'm trying to finish this bike tour before it gets ridiculously hot, hahahaha. Then I will spend July and August editing and moving into my house in rural China. Give Huan my regards!

They look like they know how to keep rust-bucket "factory" fishing ships floating. As to sustaining the image of serious husbandry of ocean resources, might as well save your breath for flute playing.
That village looks pretty interesting for photography. The automatic mahjong table kinda look out of place on board that rusty ship. I actually thought that ship you guys went on board was abandoned. 😂 Looking forward to the next video!

🤣我给你打中文吧，叫一个玉环的人带你逛石塘真是巨大的失误，还是让我来吧，我家在箬横镇，我爹小时候就在石塘工作，我觉得我还是有发言权的。
在我小时候，哪怕是隔壁镇，去石塘都需要2小时，因为要绕山路。
你经过的那个大转弯的位置叫做上马工业区，现在石塘人基本都搬过去了，进入石塘老镇区的山洞叫做车石隧道，当年还是我爹在那边工作的时候拓宽的。
石塘其实本地人去的最多的是它的民宿，集中在珍珠滩金沙滩一带，那里还有个环境非常好的滨海绿道，还有一部分集中在石塘的最高点九曲城头，可惜你就这么错过了。其实有一条隐藏的路线进入石塘的，就是从九曲城头走，那是进入石塘的老路。
其实你去的是石塘的东边，石塘的西边更有风味，那个地方叫箬山，大概有一半的人都是闽南人，所以石塘风味就约等于箬山风味，这让我想起一家饭店，瞿家小炒虽然在隔壁的松门镇，但是也是非常地道的饭店，或者说那边的猪肉饭你也错过了。。。。
基本你指的那几样东西，什么鳗鱼羹、鱼面、虾羹、糖炒番薯什么的都能有。
石塘最有名的民俗节日是七夕的时候的小人节。。您真该多问问B站的朋友们的。
如果有机会的话，台州是一个非常散装但是有非常有意思的地方。。。比如根据您对农村的爱好，蓝田村、公盂、龙潭头都是一些非常隐蔽的好地方。。
