As an Indian, I can tell you our country is also huge and multi culture and region like china. You find different language, people, and culture after travelling distance of every 150 km in India, Indian rural area is of different level compare to city, India also has large population like china so city area will be bustling and noisy n crowded.. But my advice will please don't travel alone like in china specially in some city and rural area because it's not safe for woman specially in night hours and also in some areas specially in rural areas of North India have very confined and conservative mentality mind specially for woman and some stereotype will see western young woman roaming alone in wild will be seen in very notorious eyes so never go alone in some place in India.. But apart all those India is very beautiful and vibrant country for visitors

Those types of trains have been there in their countries since the last 30 years at least. We are only now catching up and coming to their level and that too in a very uneven manner.

The premier trains are better off, cleaner and little more organized than this one, but still a level lower than Chinese trains. We Indians can't do anything without being chaotic and disorganized, sorry to say. But that's how it is. Any normal person, no matter how down to earth he/she is would get uncomfortable in such an environment. Looking out of filthy windows, passage ways totally clogged with oversized luggage, open doors on a running train (which is a security issue), could be adventurous to many but that definitely doesn't leave a very good impression on people who are not from here! China is way ahead of all of this.

It's a lot better than what I imagine. Because my friends went to India more than 20 years ago, and they said it was a nightmare, because people are stucked like sardines and some will craw on your shoulders and head. Just can't imagine.
When I was in India (2015) it was worse than sardines, at least in the Mumbai region. I wouldn't call it a nightmare, it was an interesting experience, but it's certainly not for everyone. Heading back into Mumbai had to change trains and it took a few attempts to get onto a train. I guess if you're not physically able and willing to fight for your spot it might be a nightmare. Away from the Mumbai region it was generally ok.

In india u have so many options for transportation...cheap local trains are not for tourist to enjoy the stay...i don't understand why people is ready to spend more than $10 in other country but when they come to india they always go for $0.5 or $1 options(also they live in very cheap hotels).India is more economical than other countries that doesn't mean you have to choose the cheapest option available.🙏

I love the trains in France. Once while traveling by train to the South of France out the window in the countryside I saw a young guy running at top speed not train top speed. Lol. He was being pursued by the police and ran into an old shed to hide..it was a mère 15 seconds but like an old silent movie which left you with all kinds of mystery..

I had the worst experience on the train from Delhi to Jaisalmer via Jaipur: my bag was stolen with my passport in it, and as result I was stuck in Delhi for more than a week to get my new travel document and a visa. The year was 2009.
I took the train from Udaipur to Agra back in 2011. Everything still look the same for non AC coaches. They never lock the door when the train travelled at full speed.
Be extra CAREFUL on Safety while in India, especially for Women. Avoid places where low level men usually gathers or places where you are alone, always bring someone you know along, preferable a Male friend. Such a Beautiful, young and attractive woman like you, certainly shall attract unwanted attention. Never push your luck too far.

Honestly, Malaysia seems like it's stuck there with terrible urban planning. The only thing that has changed from KL is the MRT. I had the worst experience on the train from Delhi to Jaisalmer via Jaipur: my bag was stolen with my passport in it, and as result I was stuck in Delhi for more than a week to get my new travel document and a visa. The year was 2009.

I took the train from Udaipur to Agra back in 2011. Everything still look the same for non AC coaches. They never lock the door when the train travelled at full speed.

Be extra CAREFUL on Safety while in India, especially for Women. Avoid places where low level men usually gathers or places where you are alone, always bring someone you know along, preferable a Male friend. Such a Beautiful, young and attractive woman like you, certainly shall attract unwanted attention. Never push your luck too far.

@@azhariarif Sorry you must have been stuck in the 90s. I am Indonesian and I lived in Malaysia for a few years in the early 2010s. Honestly, Malaysia seems like it's stuck there with terrible urban planning. The only thing that has changed from KL is the MRT. At least Indonesia is getting a HSR while the KL Singapore HSR was politicised and still subject to negotiation. Remember that envy and lying are sinful. Or perhaps is that ignorance? I must say I was amazed when I visited China and I must admit that it's a country we can learn from.

@@xygog2408 Sorry to be honest, China is still very much a backwater to us. When we think of China we still think of bad quality, and based on Katherine's video, we are not far off either. Maybe if you compare Indonesia with China, then maybe China looks developed. Malaysian quality is just better.
