Rajanikant working Kartik Subraj, Kamal Hassan working Lokesh K (it's his 3rd movie),
South hv directors like Vetrimaran, Sukumar, Prashant Neel, Maniratnam, Ram, GVM, Rajamouli, Shankar, Vineeth Srinivasan and every director in Malayalam is like a honest and genuine story teller..
SOTY2, without having so much bakwaas could hv been made as a decent movie, if they didn't added artificial richness into it, it has some story but the movie concentrated more on actor and actress appearance, look, dance, stunts than telling story

Believe or not hollywood is also currently in a state where there are more bad films than good and almost every film or media as a matter of fact is trying to shove an agenda down everyone's throat. Look at the countless sequals and remakes that being done by disney of their classics or the marvel films all being the same with a different skin. The films that actually good and does something that pleases the fandom are ridiculed by the media and the fake critics. So hollywood is no better than bollywood.
There only a few good films that come to my mind that released this year like the devil all the time or tenet (which from what i have heard is one of the weaker nolan films) thats it.

I completely understand your point and it has been extremely painful to see that there’s no stopping. Although, I also feel strongly that some films are so beautiful that it might need an adaptation for audiences of other part of world to enjoy it. But, frame to frame remake is something I could never understand. Similarly, remaking your own films again after 15-20 years is sick. I still don’t mind the regional or international films being remade as the subject might be too good to be re-told to a larger audience in Hindi but simply cut-n-paste is a mockery of aesthetics of art. I think these films shouldn’t get any nominations for any awards.
