People think that all farmers do is drive tractors but it's more than tractors or equipment it's a way of life that is difficult to explain to most people. That truck needs a grain bed and hoist it would haul wheat or corn like a dream. Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !

Love this project I like to see trucks and equipment get a second chance, allot of good stuff just gets forgotten about and goes to waste . I like these Fords allot and have been looking for one similar myself keep up the good work.

I have an old dump truck that has that same motor in it and it actually has done pretty well it has just about 500,000 miles on it and still running well! Good luck with that !!👍👍

Ahh man I have been looking over this video finally got around to watching it. Goodness reminds me of a old GMC 7000 we bought years ago got hauling round bales. Fabricated a 27ft bed on it what a mess it worked though sorta. Oddly enough we have that same model truck today with a dump bed on it that was given to us. Jared reminds me of myself I spend a lot of time fabricating, I spend most of my change on firearms love some 338 on steel. Good video guys was late to this one
My lads did the same sort of thing with cars . Yup they kept dragging scrap back to my yard too , but scrap got valuable a few years back so loaded up a few loads and got me a few grand for my patience and the place looks a lot tidier now, the lads are now men who drive way better yokes than their old man , such is life , but the fun we had trying to get the last out of old stuff was great , and they motored in scrap for years if they got 3 months out of a thing it was a great " buy" , I only discovered at Christmas that they charged most people to take the stuff away so I told them what I got for it when I sold it and we reckoned we all did OK and had fun!

I’ve always liked the 8.3 Cummins. I’ve worked on them in Ford trucks like that and a couple skidders that have had them. Seems like they always run good, they either have a leaking exhaust manifold or a leaking head gasket out of the back right corner. Can’t wait to see what Jared’s got planned for this one lol
Very nice, the truck wasn't really doing much just hanging out in a patch of trees probably really bored. Hopefully it can be fixed up and put to good use.

I found this channel and subscribed after looking at some of the other content, stuff I like watching, I'm seventy so not too fussy. Like to see you son carve the floor out and hang some decent metal in the floor , may go see if that suzuki has the optimum seat .... most likely not but it might make a trail jumper as everything was just walked away from so it most likely runs. I used to alway have me something that kept me from wearing out shoe leather just to go bird hunting or fishing, fishing has always been my weakness. Worst day of fishing beat the best day of work, I pulled wrenches in southeast alaska for fifty + years. Got crippled real bad and lost use of my legs so just keep hopping JC has a job in the on yonder with rigs to work on that ain't greasy or have antifreeze running down a arm or face. At least not have to use a rain coat for a shop floor/LOL. Hope your boy has a good learning tool but from what I picked up in conversation, he's worked a while on machines of all colors... I ain't particular as they all break given time. Good luck

Good ol truck there. New silage hauler or pullin truck for the fair? Man you don't realize how loud and annoying the old low air buzzers are til they're screaming at you. We have an old ih cab over horse at work for jockeying hay trailers around and it has that same low air buzzer. Can't wait to see what becomes of this old truck.

There's no doubt thats a an old Miller Paving truck. They used these trucks also as recycling trucks in the 90s so it could be that as well

That truck would make a good motor for a manure pump that could feed a dragline off the frac pump.
