I'm so glad I found your channel! I have hypermobility in my hands. Other knitting styles leave my hands strained and fatigued, to the point that I basically can't knit without pain for more than a couple of minutes. I'm a beginner, but I really love knitting, so I was heartbroken that my hands were stopping me. With compression gloves and the Portugese style, I'm experiencing a lot less pain, and I'm hopeful that this will be the beginning of a wonderful journey! You're a fantastic teacher, and I'm so glad you've chosen to share your expertise with us all. Thank you so much.
@@Zayaxa well, welcome to the group and thank you so much for your testimonials and kind words. If there is anything I can do to make this journey better, just let me know!
I real like the idea of putting in the safe line in the row of loops that are on the needle. I have messed up by dropping down a row or getting the wrong leg of a stitch when trying to place the safe line down farther in the fabric.
I am sorry I did not heave the videos when you were learning. It would save you so much frogging... Keep up the good work! Mostly I use Signature Needles and Knit picks ones. Signatures is going out of business.
@@michellenash6802 I am sorry, Michelle. I don’t mean to confuse you. Either left loop OR right loop only. The secret is to be consistent. Does that help?

I am learning to knit socks and I put a "safe line" between each section of the sock. It saves a lot of tears! Thanks so much for this, Andrea!
Thx 🙏

I am glad it was helpful, Heidi!
Fixing stitch mistakes was brilliant. I really love your tutorials.
Glad you like them!
Thank you so much. I needed this big time.
You are so welcome, Sara!
My hiyahiya cables have a safe line hole. This allows me to knit them in. I am able to pull them out later on. Saves lots of time.
Those needles are so well made!
Error 3 6:58 where the thread has to be for purl versus knit
The yarn has to be on top of RHN to knit and below RHN to purl. I have videos on my channel
Error one got to 3:40 and watch at 25 % speed you will see the correct way to do it.
Lol I made so many of these on first project years ago. Think I frogged 100 times till I got it all right. What needle and cable are you using?

I’m confused about the safe line…you repeat to pick up right loop only, but on the screen it looks like you’re picking up the left loop.
