I still can't figure out why MINI plays in the premium market...is it because they are imported or BMW owned? The 2 closest MINI dealers to me are 55 & 60 miles away; a long way to go for service. Plus MINI ditched manuals for 2020 (except Oxford Ed.), but put them back in for 2021....
You might say Mini is a British brand since they have many paint schemes with Union Jack Flag. Yes, Mini brand has British origins but today it’s owned by BMW Group, a German automaker. So, BMW makes Mini Cooper in two plants, One in England and another one in Netherland. BMW Group purchased the MINI brand in the year 2000. The brand identity of MINI is still quintessentially British. This can also be noticed when Mini is marketed on TV or print ads. Although Mini Cooper is quite an unique car, it does share a lot of parts with other BMW models.
Just ordered a new Mini Clubman in the same gorgeous Indian Summer Red as shown. The model I've ordered is not quite the same, it's the Mini Clubman Cooper Exclusive 1.5. Still mega excited to get my hands on my new Mini, second one I will have owned after my Mini Hatchback (3 dr) in British Racing Green, that has served me well.
The base Cooper Clubman with the 3 cylinder turbo is no longer available in the U.S. But you should check out its new grill. I really dig it 👍. And if I ever get a Clubman, I would try to get the grill from the Cooper model and swap it out. But I could see some folks not liking it.
Nice review. But dependability, reliability and high price point for the Clubman makes this car hard to justify to buy. Also, weak dealer network infrastructure is problematic for folks like me who live 2 hours away from the closest Mini dealer... Chicago or Grand Rapids are at least 2 hours away for me! At this price point , I expected more safety features like blind spot monitoring, lane assist etc. All the best.... Sam
If you have head lights on and and the adjustment to the right is pushed up or down , this moves the beam up or down. Hence drivers driver flashing there headlights as they think you head lights are on.
I wonder why the got rid of the touchpad. It used to come when you got the larger version of the infotainment screen. I wish they would at least get rid of the horrid orange dot in the middle of it
I wonder if it's comfortable enough for Philadelphias potholes i mean i personally dodge most if not all of the avoidable ones-- buut i want something comfortable enough for a long drive
@@stevehammes hmmm i may need to look else where then. Thanks for replying i may still do a test drive coming from an 08 accord coupe i would like to feel for myself ! I thoroughly enjoy your videos thank you for doing what you do. 👍🏾
Adore this car. Been researching, and this will be the next one. That interior is stunning!
What a sweeeet ride! Thinking of grabbing myself an example, im sure your review will help me make my choice 🙌🏼
Awesome! Thanks.

Waiting on that Mini JCW GP3 review!

Thanks for the feedback!
That interior looks beautiful!

His voice sounds exactly like the ones you hear in commercials for obscure products on cable tv at 3am
That’s my side gig!
@@stevehammes Oh. Oh WOW 😅
I’ll take the classic mini,specifically the 1967 Cooper S.
So what is stopping you?

You're right.
Because it is a touchscreen now.
Whats the point of 2 touch options?
Minis are appealing little runabouts, but they don't make sense in higher trims. $40k buys a reasonably equipped BMW X1 with more power.
I'd still rather be in the MINI JCW variant.
K03sport
The old JCW had same power as X1 but new JCW gets X2 m35 output, so that plays into your hands.
It's too bad they couldn't have gone with some metal switch gear with that interior - given the price.
Did I see right? Apple CarPlay doesn’t have the ability to fill the screen? TY
True

It's pretty jaring over the rough stuff.

And run flats too boot...which don't soften anything.
ohhh id just like to once drive a Mini regardless😏. thanx for the review.
They are fun!
40K?!?! LOL!!!!!
How tall are you?
6' 1"
$50m. Loaded that's too much for me.
