Excellent! Having lived here for over 30 yrs most of your walk covered all the cruising spots I used to frequent as a younger man. The nights I used to spend at Coco Beach (you forgot to show the gardens); the hours spent on the jetée, Sundays strolling around the port side of the chateau. I am certain the Eagle wasn't named the same when I first visited (that and the Blue Boy were my favourites). Now you will take me back to Mont Boron so I expect to see my old cruising spots there. It is wonderful seeing my old haunts from someone else's viewpoint. Really looking forward to the rest of the series.
I love all the stories from the SOF history they are fascinating. Well done climbing all those steps you are very fit. Thanks again enjoying this series of vlogs.
Can’t wait for episode 3,loving every episode so far.The Fletcher family have all these places to look forward to in July and can’t wait. Warmest regards Darren
You're a fantastic story teller. I could go on forever listening to you. Fancy I have been to the French Riviera umpteen times and didn't know half of what you're telling! Thank you it's a joy listening to you!
It's so good to see video walks of the Nice area by someone who actually lives there! Most of the other posted videos just show the usual touristy streets and areas. It would be great if you'd do walks through residential areas too. As someone who's interested in moving there, yours are much more useful!
Great stuff, love all the history behind places just seen in passing before! I am impressed by your stamina - all those stairs and still commentating at the top (must be the pain bagnats). Looking forward to your next walk.
Brill video Tim! Yep the art work in the port reminds me of something my granddaughter made with her Kinex set. Watch those steps Tim there going to get you one of these days 🤘 Love all the info keep.them coming. Regards Brian
I'm pretty sure Kelly Clarkson came up with the saying "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger", not Nietzsche. (😂 Lol! In all seriousness, this was a wonderful video! Beautiful to watch and interesting to learn, thank you😊)
Am loving this series of walks. I really like the port area of Nice. Remember having a drink and chatting to two very drunk fishermen at a cafe near to the ferry terminal lol. We never went further than the port so it’s a must for next time. Some stunning views to be had ! Thanks as always Tim !
Another informative and enjoyable tour. I’ve arrived in Cannes and dealing with all the headaches of opening a bank account, and getting mobile #. My ipad and iphone don’t seem to be sending mail now? Oh the joys, pehaps a walk would do me well right now.
Thanks for that Tim, I very much enjoyed seeing more of why is Nice is considered so special. However, you cause me to lament not visiting when I could afford to rather than tramping off to other parts not so well known. But, you have inspired me to try to visit before I cash in the last of my chips Btw, at 13:30, that conglomeration of scrap steel erected on the corner, I agree with your friends, send it back to the scrap yard
I've mentioned this before, but we still see far too much of your face whilst you're talking, when we could be seeing whats around you. Also, that occasional musical break comes in far to loud. Otherwise its another very interesting episode!
Just watching this now, very true you are a fantastic story teller and you have so much local knowledge, I admire that
Thank you kindly
Love your videos , wish you made more of them . It’s nice to hear someone talking without saying ‘ like ‘ every third word .
Thanks. Ha! I do say autonomy and so a lot though! Another coming on sunday
as a belgian myself, i did not know our poet and writer Maeterlinck was buried in Nice ! we learn every day 🙂
I passed that viewing point for 15 years before I noticed that the ashes were there!
The sound was a bit jumpy but the content made up for it. Another great tour

Don't you live there no more..I miss walking around the place and getting a tan at the same time..
@@garyhall9329 Yes still live here a few steps from the port; retired now.
Great to see Blue sky, that alone makes it a treat for me. Love the double entendre🎉.
Merci beaucoup!
I love your posts so much. Typical British humour too. Love from a fellow Brit

Thanks Mike. Enjoy!
Thankyou again, lovely views. Missing it badly. We went on the land train in sept 2019 it's a perfect alternative to getting to the fort. ;-)
I hope you wore your earphones!
@@MeandMonAmi we did, although Iam not a big fan of things in my earhole, we have a guide book of the area so we refer to that.
Really enjoy your videos, love the history. Can't wait to go to Nice.
Thanks Andrea

Moving to Eze later this year - have really enjoyed your videos over the last 18months!
Thanks Michael. Are you heading to Sur Mer or village?
@@MeandMonAmi We are just outside the village - can’t wait to move! Sure we will see you one day out and and about in Villefranche
Another great walking trip❤how long was this?
In real time probably 90 minutes
Looks like something my 3 year old grandson might have constructed out of meccano.

Yes it now goes all the way to Ville Franche!
Do you not still have to come onto the main road at the pointe of sans culotte?

@@MeandMonAmi SMPT yes i think so
There’s some great non contract deals from Bouygues or sosh. 150gb for circa 15 euros a month

@@MeandMonAmi Thank YOU Tim, your stories, jokes and perspectives bring the city and history to life. Much Appreciated.
Can we get more videos on the quieter non touristy spots in the south of France?
Many more on the way!;
@@MeandMonAmi great can't wait and hello from Australia
Errrrr…. And Mr. Boo, where is he?
He doesn’t walk!;
i do like the boat sculpture, but not in that location! It absolutely ruins the view of the port.
I don't mind it but I can see your point
