Garlic Flatbreads (or mini Tortillas) x 8 240g/2 cups self raising flour 220g/1 cup greek yoghurt (natural and/or low fat ok too) 2 (or more) tsp squeezy garlic 2 tsp olive oil + extra for brushing handful of chopped parsley (or other herb of your choice) Salt & pepper to taste Take crisper plate out. In a large bowl, pop all ingredients in and bring together to form a rough dough. Pop the dough ball onto a floured cutting board and fold in on itself to form a smooth ball, shape into a sausage shape and cut into 8 equal size sections. Put aside 7 and begin on 1, form it into a ball and using a rolling pin, flatten into a 3” to 4” round disc. Set aside and repeat until all 8 are ready. Brush both sides with olive oil. Cook for 4 mins before turning and cooking for the remaining 4 mins. Once cooked, remove and cut 2 diagonal lines (not all the way through) and set aside. Store and use within 3 days, if freezing (up to 3 months) to reheat from frozen, just pop in AF on preset 180c for approx 7 mins (depends on your AF) turning halfway.
I found your channel via video and I’ve been binge watching them slowly I’m going to make these once I’ve got my new air fryer I think maybe some minted lamb chopped up with crucial yoghurt and mint dressing spoon over the top of these will be absolutely amazing Keep up your good work and hard work and dedication to your channel😊
Hi Kerry, love your channel. I made these with lots more garlic and divided into four pieces instead of seven. i sprayed each one with olive oil and used a frying pan to almost cook then i topped them with cheese, tomato, mushrooms, salami and pepperoni, it made four great pizzas. x
Wonderful Kerry. I have made these a lot but in the frying pan which is dead easy as well, just turn them every now and then, I think!!! they come out a little more spongier on the frying pan then placed onto a plate, brush with some oil or butter and cover then do the next one. But your look scrummy!
Hi Kerry, they are brilliant and so easy to do. So handy to be able to grab from the freezer, so many things you could have them with. Salad, curries, bollys, anything with a sauce or dipping. Can't wait 😋😊 Byee 👋 💕😘xx
Hi Kerry they looked great. Never occurred to try in air fryer usually do in the frying pan smoking up the whole house setting off the fire alarms. Will try next time.
Hi Kerry, these look lovely and so easy! They would have been perfect the other night with our curry, coz we had no naan breads! Great with chilli and spaggy Bol. Thanks for sharing ❤️🇬🇧
I would go with they are flatbreads as they end up thick. tortillas are more thinner and used as wraps but that would just be a case of rolling them out thinner OR using a freezer bag (or the inner bag of a cereal packet) and a couple chopping boards to flatten them (can you tell I don't own a tortilla press? LOL) then finish off with the rolling pin as they should be almost see through for tortilla as they puff up a little during cooking. I make plain ones of these now and then but I use a dry fry pan and induction hob, then freeze them - the thin ones I also cut up and make into 'Doritos ' I'll try them in the air fryer oven as always good to have options. rarely do I get them to 'puff up' but they are still edible and any cooking that is edible is a win in my book, the puff is what makes them able to open up (in theory) to then be filled.
Those look delicious! And so much nicer looking than the peely-wally flatbreads you get in the supermarkets. I seem to remember that your Pa is from 'sunny' Scotland - depending where he's from he might be familiar with 'Butteries'. After watching this I'm really curious if you could make them in the air fryer. That would be a (possibly early-death-inducing) revelation!
Thanks for this Kerry ..they look really delicious. I agree ..hummus would be great with these . I made my own hummus for the first time a couple of weeks ago so I think I’ll make some more and a batch of these flatbreads …and try not to eat them all at once ! 😀. Take care x Ruth
They look smashing Kerry! I would add coriander and lots of garlic like a Naan bread and then serve them with my Pressure cooker Butter Chicken! It always makes lots of sauce and they would be perfect to dunk! ❤❤❤. Sx
@@budgetcookingukThis is my quick cheat’s version Kerry. It makes double sauce for 2 people and I usually freeze it for another time but you could easily add extra chicken breasts for the family! It will go nicely with a chilli, brush with garlic butter on the first cooking turn, you could even squirt in a table spoon of garlic mayo might give a stronger taste, you my find it better freezing uncooked to keep the dough a bit fresher before cooking. But you deffinetly need to eat these with something quite thick and plenty of spicy sauce.

Coriander would be nice, cheesy ones, they'd go well with a curry or more garlic & have with spaghetti bolognaise, lovely kerry
Oh yes coriander would be delish 😋👍💕
I will be doing this but when turning them at 4 minutes I am going to put some chili cheese on it as well Thanks
Great recipe. You could try them with chili con carne or tahini (sesame) sauce
rather than cross them can you open them up to add a filling. well done i will try these
I'm not sure, will test that on my next batch! 😀👍💕
