    Garlic Flatbreads (or mini Tortillas) x 8
    240g/2 cups self raising flour
    220g/1 cup greek yoghurt
    (natural and/or low fat ok too)
    2 (or more) tsp squeezy garlic
    2 tsp olive oil
    + extra for brushing
    handful of chopped parsley
    (or other herb of your choice)
    Salt & pepper to taste
    Take crisper plate out.
    In a large bowl, pop all ingredients in and bring together to form a rough dough.
    Pop the dough ball onto a floured cutting board and fold in on itself to form a smooth ball, shape into a sausage shape and cut into 8 equal size sections.
    Put aside 7 and begin on 1, form it into a ball and using a rolling pin, flatten into a 3” to 4” round disc.
    Set aside and repeat until all 8 are ready. Brush both sides with olive oil.
    Preheat the Airfryer on BAKE setting at 160c/320f for 5 mins before adding (work in batches) however many you can fit directly into the basket.
    Cook for 4 mins before turning and cooking for the remaining 4 mins.
    Once cooked, remove and cut 2 diagonal lines (not all the way through) and set aside.
    Store and use within 3 days, if freezing (up to 3 months) to reheat from frozen, just pop in AF on preset 180c for approx 7 mins (depends on your AF) turning halfway.

    Hi Kerry, love your channel. I made these with lots more garlic and divided into four pieces instead of seven. i sprayed each one with olive oil and used a frying pan to almost cook then i topped them with cheese, tomato, mushrooms, salami and pepperoni, it made four great pizzas. x

    Wonderful Kerry. I have made these a lot but in the frying pan which is dead easy as well, just turn them every now and then, I think!!! they come out a little more spongier on the frying pan then placed onto a plate, brush with some oil or butter and cover then do the next one. But your look scrummy!

    I would go with they are flatbreads as they end up thick. tortillas are more thinner and used as wraps but that would just be a case of rolling them out thinner OR using a freezer bag (or the inner bag of a cereal packet) and a couple chopping boards to flatten them (can you tell I don't own a tortilla press? LOL) then finish off with the rolling pin as they should be almost see through for tortilla as they puff up a little during cooking.
    I make plain ones of these now and then but I use a dry fry pan and induction hob, then freeze them - the thin ones I also cut up and make into 'Doritos ' I'll try them in the air fryer oven as always good to have options.
    rarely do I get them to 'puff up' but they are still edible and any cooking that is edible is a win in my book, the puff is what makes them able to open up (in theory) to then be filled.

    Those look delicious! And so much nicer looking than the peely-wally flatbreads you get in the supermarkets. I seem to remember that your Pa is from 'sunny' Scotland - depending where he's from he might be familiar with 'Butteries'. After watching this I'm really curious if you could make them in the air fryer. That would be a (possibly early-death-inducing) revelation!

      @@budgetcookingukThis is my quick cheat’s version Kerry. It makes double sauce for 2 people and I usually freeze it for another time but you could easily add extra chicken breasts for the family! I use the frozen ones from Lidl and means I can do a quick supper in the PC!
      SAL’s Quick and Easy Instant Pot “Butter” Chicken
      Servings: 2
      Ingredients
      * 1 chicken stock pot
      * 1 heaped tsp onion granules
      * 1 heaped tsp garlic granules
      * 1 tsp turmeric
      * 1 tsp ground coriander
      * 1 tsp dried coriander or frozen coriander
      * 1 tsp ground cumin
      * 1 heaped tsp curry powder
      * 1 cup of water (use it to wash out tomato soup tin or carton!)
      * Approx ⅓ carton of Tomato Passata Or Tin of Cream of Tomato Soup (even better!)
      * 2 well seasoned Lidl frozen chicken breasts
      * Mango Chutney, apricot jam or Stevia etc to sweeten to taste (optional but delish)
      * Cornflour to thicken - approx 2 tsp
      * A knob of butter and a little Double cream to taste (or Yogurt or Creme Fraiche etc)
      * Froz coriander is good to add at the end for colour and flavour!
      Steps
      1. Add ingredients to IP in order stated. Do not mix so tomato and chicken stay on top
      2. Seal. Poultry setting - reduce to 13 mins. Turn off pot and allow to NPR.
      3. Remove chicken and set aside in warming oven.
      4. Turn to Sauté mode. Sweeten sauce to taste and then thicken with cornflour mixed with water slake.
      5. Allow to bubble, reduce and thicken so nice and glossy. Add small amount of Butter and Double Cream to flavour and enrich sauce and finish with a little frozen coriander.
      6. Meanwhile cut chicken breast into good sized pieces. Put into hot sauce to warm up again
      7. Serve over cauli rice or preferred rice with Naan bread.
      ❤❤❤

    It will go nicely with a chilli, brush with garlic butter on the first cooking turn, you could even squirt in a table spoon of garlic mayo might give a stronger taste, you my find it better freezing uncooked to keep the dough a bit fresher before cooking.
    But you deffinetly need to eat these with something quite thick and plenty of spicy sauce.
