@@_dboy_ he did get an iron fitting awhile back. It’s in a video. Swung a few blades and swung the MP20s the best. And got a shaft in it. It wasn’t from the Mizuno guys themselves though

I always enjoy watching a Fitting vid and I totally agree with the Fitters comments about Lie Boards. The only issue I would have had with this fitting is that I like to test using my game ball and my game Grips before I make a final buying decision

JPX 921 tour and forged are amazing irons. I bought mine this past April and absolutely love them. Funny I was big time toe down as well. you will love these clubs. Good luck.

I just got fit a few days ago and ended up with the JPX 921 Tour, so sick. I was in between the exact same two shafts but went with the Project X LS 6.5 cause I liked the way it felt better loading at the top! We're gonna love these clubs

I was fitted back in April with the shaft optimizer. It was an amazing experience. I am a high handicapper and I ended up with the JPX Hot Metals. they are amazing and my handicap is coming down! Enjoy those beautiful new clubs when you get them young man! Looking forward to your instructional content.
I wanted the JPX Hot Metal so bad, but I do have the MP 25 Irons which honestly feel really really good. Also got them custom fitted and my striking has never been better.
In my fitting, it was down to the Mizuno 921 and TM P7MC. Great feeling clubs. Ultimately and this probably sounds odd, but the Mizuno was _too_ soft. But I also have 7ir club head speed of 98-99mph, so being too soft removes feel. But it was such a small difference. I run P7MC's with the Project X LS. The LS was basically a must for me. Shaved 500rpm off most any other shaft. I somehow still had highish spin with the DG120's. I have a lot of compression at 99mph... But thats the magic of fitting. You can narrow it down the exact club that feels great AND the numbers work. Love the content Grant! You have such incredible tempo and control, this will be what shaves off a couple strokes a round.
C taper stiff is amazing. Hit them with the hot metals last December. Cost is a little more than I would like but that comes with being fitted all around.
I went through the same process with my 919HMs and I love them. It’s great to have a qualified fitter who has access to this system. Much better than a set off the shelf. I just wish that fitters and retailers would stop pushing equipment to golfers , especially young impressionable ones like this young fellow based on what pros play. What tour pros play has no bearing on what we play. Tour pros are a special breed. The optimizer offers a shaft selection based on what’s put into its database but it’s a good start.
@@richardc6932 yes correct, this is the same for balls. Most set balls like pro v1s, tp5x are wasted on amateurs as we have nowhere near enough speed to see the benefits. I recently started playing Taylormade soft response balls which are made to get the best out of regular swing speeds

Don't get me wrong, Mizuno are probably the best irons on the market but I feel they haven't tapped into the younger market who see TM, Callaway and Titleist as the main 3. Ping and Cobra not far behind.
Dude the 921s are sick- been playing them for around 6 months and they’re money. Turf interaction and the slight forgiveness vs a blade is unbeatable. Solid choice
I just watched this video yesterday, and I had the Mizuno JPX 850. Just got my professional fitting and got the JPX 921 Tours today. They feel so good and yeah Garrett I cant believe you hit an actual butter knife. Hit the MB 20 and hit them well but jeez if I hit it one barely bad it looks like I have never golfed before haha

I just got fit for new irons and thought I was going to get into the T100 since I play AP2s now, but ended up in the 921 Tours with a DG X100 shaft +1/2" 2 degrees upright. Super excited to see what they do for my game.
Grant, you got almost my exact same clubs lol. I'm also a tall, high ball, high spinner. I'm rocking the JPX 921 with dynamic gold at 115. You'll absolutely love them. No regrets from me
Video was cool. I myself figured if im spending money on a decent to nice set of clubs to mights as well get fitted or semi fitted. I swing TaylormadeP-770 and iron game has been alot more tighter.

Without ever hitting one just pure reviews I ordered a zx-7 4 iron because my set didn’t come with one and it has been money especially all the long par 4s
