@@baemp1re haha yeah, I got the feeling that Grant was expecting the fitting to be like a whole new set of clubs, shafts, highly customized etc (like an amateur might get at a local shop) but at his skill level he's already really dialed in, and this fitting is more for minor tweaks.
IMO Grant is a natural teacher just like his dad. Garret carries GoodGood that’s for sure. People changed jobs all the time… and Grant mentioned a few times how grateful he was for Garret giving him a start on TH-cam. Best to enjoy all the contents and wish everyone the best!
If Garret was getting fitted in this video it would be filled with self doubt and him talking about how he's not worthy of being there, which is correct, he doesn't have the mentality.

Watching the ProAM yesterday I was scratching my head wondering why you left Mizuno because you were hitting those clubs so well while struggling with the TM all day. When you started the fitting session I think we all heard that "thud" at the beginning. After the lie angle adjustment that first swing was that sweet sound at impact we have all come to love to hear. As I said in Micahs video .. Trottie is a LEGEND. Well done Trottie.
Trottie is such a class act. I'm brand agnostic, but every time I watch him do one of these fittings, I consider spending my life savings to have him fit me for some TM clubs.
I mentioned this is Micah’s video, love getting into the mindset of trottie with the club fitting. But even beyond are you playing the right clubs… are you playing the right ball. I think a lot of amateurs want to get into pro v1 or whatever but they can’t swing fast enough or compress the ball properly and it’s affecting their game. Last year I played several different rounds with different balls and finally feel like I found a ball that I can hit consistently and it feels good. Does what it needs, etc.
Trottie is exceptional at what he does, incredible video. I love Trottie a lot not only because he is exceptional at what he does but he also has a fantastic personality with all different kinds of characters. Any taylormade content with Trottie is a must watch and immense value with how knowledgeable he is. Cheers great video all around, all classy.

I love to hear well struck irons. You can hear a thud, like a good bunker shot, as the club enters the turf. When you hear that you know that the club has entered square and engages the bounce to get that good turf interaction.
Grant, I love to see you look at another shaft that you liked. Trottie is as good as it gets. But its cool to see you take something you want to try and make it work. Kudos bro!

Love the fitting advice. Classic "blind" testing, don't tell the subject what the expected outcome is or they'll make it happen. Like looking at a water hazard and subconsciously hitting it there. Big props to Trottie, understanding how your client receives information, and how they will best make use of it, is super important. Knowing what moves each players needle and using that to guide them is a massive skill! 👍
Call Micah and Grant all the names you want , but this is truly an incredible opportunity for them and they made the right move. Especially if its true that Good Good wasn't willing to give them equity

I just got fitted 2 days ago by a canadian pga player thinking I would have an experience simmilar to this but...for 260$ I didint got much more then what I would have at golf town...Trottie is the real deal
I think Ventus Blue is the shaft for the driver. A little more launch and spin than the Black. I don't think the AD CQ will hold up on the golf course - and I love the Tour AD shafts.

As someone who is 6'9, its nice to see the fitting process for someone who is a little bit taller. I never even thought that lie angle would play a factor. Really makes me want to get a good fitting and a lesson or two. Never had the opportunity.
Grant, I’ve gone down the armlock rabbit hole as well and nothing felt comfortable. You have to give the Evnroll Midlock grip a try. I know you’re a Taylormade guy now, but I’m hoping they’re cool with you using an Evnroll Midlock GRIP on whatever TM putter you’re going to play. It serves the purpose of an armlock but feels way more comfortable and natural. Give it a try, you’ll thank me for it.

@@addisonking3202 you really don’t know much about golf. Mizuno irons are rated wayyyyy better than TM. Also a full fitting by the OEM for all manufacturers are top notch. The only thing TM has better than Mizuno are their woods and the last few years Mizuno has been very good with their designs. Their ball speeds, distance and dispersion are just as good as TM. Just because one sells more than the other doesn’t make it better. TM is just a larger company with more marketing $’s.
MM chill.. I was a fitter for 5 years and I sold a heck of a lot more mizuno irons than Taylormade. I totally agree. But the access to tour level resources; fitting, facilities, etc from Taylormade is above and beyond what mizuno offers
I played standard lie for years and was getting that twisting your talking about, got a little help from a coach, he told me go 1 degree flat and stand a bit straighter, kind of the club and me meeting half way and it really worked exactly like the video
