    What's the longest you've ever hoarded anything? I think my record is about 15 years. 😂🙈

      44 and a half years. Once a hoarder always a hoarder 😂😅😊

    Love this little journal, my suggestion would be making this as an accordion journal using bigger scraps of paper as the base. Win, win. 🖤

    • @journalingplanet
      @journalingplanet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, definitely a great option. I'm doing another accordion video soon so I thought I'd mix things up a bit but I agree that it's the perfect way of using bigger lengths of paper. Thank you for taking the time to share!

    Hi Helen:
    I love the way you tied in both projects. Good video on your message of hoarding. I stopped hoarding years ago. Whatever it is, cannot be appreciated in a drawer. Spread the beauty. Same with my fabrics. I make things and give them away. BTW, that Statue of Liberty stencil is so cool. I was born not too far from her. 💜😎🇺🇸

    • @journalingplanet
      @journalingplanet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      YES! Brilliant beauty definitely cannot be appreciated while it's stuck in a drawer! Well done on beating the impulse to hoard stuff. I love the statue of liberty and NYC in general. A great area to be born in!

    I do a similar thing in my junk journal. Once I finish a project I decorate a page or two with the remnants. It’s turning into a great little art journal that way. I’m sure I’ll really enjoy looking back at my various projects later

    • @journalingplanet
      @journalingplanet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's wonderful. I love that you get to keep the remnants and remember the positive time you spent creating!

    I do like the idea of keeping some of our precious scraps. I think I would make an A4 master-board and use that as the cover of my next journal..... sort of passing the memory from one project to the other, for continuity. Thank you for the lovely idea.

    I LOVE this idea. I appreciate the thinking you gave to be able to preserve your project in a mini form. Never ever thought of this, so thank you once again for such a creative idea. One could also make a few tags with the scraps to preserve the project.

    I like this idea. I always seen to have a bundle of leftovers specific to the project in addition to tons of off cuts. This is a nice way to handle the specific leftovers. Thanks for sharing your idea and I hope you are well very soon!❤

    Hi Helen! I love this idea to keep our scrappy memories in one style and solely for this purpose . You made it so simple and easy to create, not intimidating at all….oooh great idea for kids and there little papers too!🌸

    You are brilliant! I have little bits of paper from projects past that have gotten all shuffled together. It would be so nice fitted together in its own little book.

    • @journalingplanet
      @journalingplanet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hehe. I think we often think that things like these don't deserve their own book but I think it serves soany purposes to honour the paper in this way.

    I like the concept of creating a mini journal for simply collaging bits of scraps! My scraps are getting out of hand…mostly of Vintage & Antique book pages, magazine bits, and painty papers that I’ve created. I think I’m going to have to do this asap! Thanks for sharing, hope you feel better soon Helen! ❤

      I forgot to respond to your question of how would we use this for our scraps. I'm thinking of adding scraps to the first 2-4 pages of my Glue Book projects. I could glue them in as I go. Thank you for your inspiration 🥰

      @journalingplanet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great idea too - to use the back pages of the journal itself. In my case I was giving it away so wanted a little memento of the project. I'm so glad you like the result!

    Is there any way you could include a picture of the project in the folio? That would be a good reminder for you.

    • @journalingplanet
      @journalingplanet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I think that would be wonderful! This project was captured on video for me but for the ones I don't film I'm definitely going to add a photo. Thanks for the suggestion!! ❤️
