I just bought my new 2021 CX-30 and I love it. Perfect height and the way it looks in person is amazing. I didn't get the high level but only the lowest level because that's all I can afford from my budget.

I have the silver 2020 CX-30. I love it. The perfect size. I live in South Florida and have had the car since Nov 2020. I have only seen about 10 since I bought mine. Not sure why cause it looks great and the interior feels and looks like a luxury car. The drive is so smooth. I want to have my rims wrapped in black and with the black cladding should look awesome ! This car and the CX-5 is my favorites among Mazda's line of SUVs. The design of the cx-30 is really cool inside and outside that slooping roof line is my favorite part it look like a mini Porsche Maccan to me😂😂😂😂🏎🏎🏎

I live in the north, and the plastic at the bottom of the frame is the best invention for me since the sliced bread. It protects the bottom frame to begin to rust after 5 winters.
Machine Gray Metallic is the perfect color for this car, IMO. I might be a little biased as I just bought a new CX-30 in this color, but I'm absolutely in love!

It really depends actually, if you’re tight on budget then I would suggest the low spec since it’s still a CX-30 anyways. But if you’re up for it, the LED headlights, tailights and the brown interior on the high spec looks really premium!

My parents left American cars in 1989 and almost bought Honda Accord but Honda didn’t discount and my parents went to try Mazda and love the 89’ Mazda 626- they started buy them one after another. I grew up with them having Miatas and a Protege and a MPV van then more 626’s. To me, the Miata is a blast! Best balanced little sports car. I think the Mazda 6 is a sexy sedan in Titanium Flash Mica paint with good wheels & window tint. But it seems Mazda is giving the United States a break from the 6 for 2022.

The fog lights look fantastic and all but once got hit because my indicator was allegedly off but it was on the driver did not see it as usually they observe the upper part of the car had a dashcam so the sound of the indicator ois what helped me
Reviewers complain about rear legroom but at 36.8" its the same as my Altima Im trading in for a 2.5 S preferred and my Altima rear seat is fine. The Maxima only has 34" and they never complain about its rear seat?

For the colour, I would definitely go for machine gray but with your choice I would go for the polymetal gray 👍🏻 Mazda CX-30 if you want comfortable driving, Mazda 3 if you want a more sporty feel
CX-30 I really consider it, but for a similar priced vehicle you get more features with the 2021 Sportage from Kia like ventilated seats, and power passenger seat. 2 things the CX-30 does not offer. Bummer because the CX-30 is much nice looking. Come on Mazda!!
Hi Miguel! Yes i was surprised as well for the fact that the driver’s seat of the CX-30 has lots of adjustability but they ignored the passenger seat! Agreed, if comparing visual appearance alone Mazda would be a much better choice!

Nice vid, thanks. They say the 2020/21 Mazda Bt 50 isn't Mazda enough but I think if they put in that infotainment system half would love it and the other half would complain it's not ute-y enough and too much like an SUV. Could've mixed and matched the seat colouring and theme contrast too in the BT-50. Brown nappa leather looks nice in this but not everyone is a fan of the brown leather seats in the GT model.
Hi Gerard! To me, just the fact that Mazda is producing a pick-up truck is good enough! And the interior actually looks pretty decent as compared to other competitors in the same segment out there! But yes i got to agree with you it would look much better with the infotainment and seat colourings from the CX-30. I guess they didn’t do that as the price would increase significantly, which wouldn’t make sense for pick-up. Thanks anyways for commenting! 🙏🏻

I believe the BT50 is more Mazda than the X-Class was Mercedes in the inside but at the same time, could've pushed a little more- hence my comment about people thinking it's too SUV for a ute. I'd be happy picking up one though.

It really depends what you’re looking for. The Mazda CX30 is more sporty as its smaller and lower but it still does the job as a crossover with ample amount of space. The only reason you should go for the Mazda CX-5 is if you prefer a car which is taller & more spacious 👍🏻
With the regular 3 hatch being on the same platform with the same interior but being more economical while being faster and looking much much better I dont really see the point of the CX 30. Well i think it got a bit more space but if thats a priority the CX 5 is the better option anyway. For me it was a no brainer buying the regular 3 hatch.
I disagree I think it's the opposite I think this is way more practical than the 3 number one same price number two all-wheel drive on this number three it's higher up easy to go in and out and to me it feels more comfortable speed-wise they're basically the same engine and close to the same speed I think this is worth more than that. And this is coming from a C6 ZO6 Corvette owner

@@TheDude50447 for much more money and as far as looks have you seen the cx-30 in red it looks awesome and this is from someone with a sports car mentality like I said have a ZO6 I never thought I'd like a corny SUV but they did make this look pretty cool that's why I never thought I would even consider one until now but think about it it's all wheel drive looks amazing in red only in my opinion with the 18 inch wheels much better than a Mazda 3 and it has some zip in a 2.5 configuration all wheel drive definitely the cx30 highly recommended over the Mazda 3 hatchback
@@richardcerritelli9657 cant argue about Taste. For me the regular 3 which i actually got in Red is the currently best looking hatch in that class while i dont like the looks of the CX 30 at all. But thats just up to the Individual. Having driven the CX 30 for a few days as a replacement while my 3 was at the Service the CX 30 doesnt do as well on the road. It feels more spongy. And im not going off road anyway. Here in germany the 2.5 and the turbo arent actually Sold. Instead we have the skyactiv x which is a 2 litre petrol Diesel hybrid Thing. Runs on petrol but used compression ignition like a Diesel to improve fuel economy. With 186 HP its also the strongest engine for the mazda 3 derivatives here in germany.
What trim options come with Apple CarPlay? It may sound silly but that’s a non negotiable for me lol also safety? This would be a small family car if my husband and I decide to go for it.

Hi Ian! Glad to hear you’re from Indonesia, it depends actually. If the size capacity in terms of boot space or legroom doesn’t matter much to you, then CX-30 would be the choice to go for! But to be fair the space CX-30 offers is more than enough for most people. The only reason I would go for the CX-5 is the higher view out on the roads like a proper SUV 👍🏻
You’re right! I’ve only included the 5 CXs because they’re all currently still in production with updated versions, and not being electrified to make a fair comparison between one and another 🙋🏻♂️
Hi, thanks for a great video on CX30 with lots of info! I m keen on this car but disappointed that, despite being a CBU from Japan itself, it does not have a 360 deg view camera and there is no built in navigation (as compared to the CKD CX5).

Do not want Cylinder deactivation. Base and Middle range models do not have this feature at least. This is the best color for the CX-30.

@@WhenHannMeetsCars yes I do! From 2008 Mazda 6 to a couple of Mazda 3’s, a pre owned 2007 CX-7 and a CX-9. They are fun efficient and affordable.

My parents left American cars in 1989 and almost bought Honda Accord but Honda didn’t discount and my parents went to try Mazda and love the 89’ Mazda 626- they started buy them one after another. I grew up with them having Miatas and a Protege and a MPV van then more 626’s. To me, the Miata is a blast! Best balanced little sports car. I think the Mazda 6 is a sexy sedan in Titanium Flash Mica paint with good wheels & window tint. But it seems Mazda is giving the United States a break from the 6 for 2022.

The fog lights look fantastic and all but once got hit because my indicator was allegedly off but it was on the driver did not see it as usually they observe the upper part of the car had a dashcam so the sound of the indicator ois what helped me

Reviewers complain about rear legroom but at 36.8" its the same as my Altima Im trading in for a 2.5 S preferred and my Altima rear seat is fine. The Maxima only has 34" and they never complain about its rear seat?

Between polymetal gray and white cx30 or mazda 3 which would u pick for both? I wanna buy either a mazda 3 or cx30 in these colors
For the colour, I would definitely go for machine gray but with your choice I would go for the polymetal gray 👍🏻 Mazda CX-30 if you want comfortable driving, Mazda 3 if you want a more sporty feel

CX-30 I really consider it, but for a similar priced vehicle you get more features with the 2021 Sportage from Kia like ventilated seats, and power passenger seat. 2 things the CX-30 does not offer. Bummer because the CX-30 is much nice looking. Come on Mazda!!
Hi Miguel! Yes i was surprised as well for the fact that the driver’s seat of the CX-30 has lots of adjustability but they ignored the passenger seat! Agreed, if comparing visual appearance alone Mazda would be a much better choice!

Ahh...ok I was concerned with headlights coz the cx-30 headlights sinks into the bonet. Scared the metal might interfere with the rfid

Nice vid, thanks. They say the 2020/21 Mazda Bt 50 isn't Mazda enough but I think if they put in that infotainment system half would love it and the other half would complain it's not ute-y enough and too much like an SUV. Could've mixed and matched the seat colouring and theme contrast too in the BT-50. Brown nappa leather looks nice in this but not everyone is a fan of the brown leather seats in the GT model.
Hi Gerard! To me, just the fact that Mazda is producing a pick-up truck is good enough! And the interior actually looks pretty decent as compared to other competitors in the same segment out there! But yes i got to agree with you it would look much better with the infotainment and seat colourings from the CX-30. I guess they didn’t do that as the price would increase significantly, which wouldn’t make sense for pick-up. Thanks anyways for commenting! 🙏🏻
@@WhenHannMeetsCars I like Mazda designs and the grill on the CX-9 and I'm looking for a ute to do the odd job on the farm. Then boom, Mazda ute. Pretty damn happy with that. I believe the BT50 is more Mazda than the X-Class was Mercedes in the inside but at the same time, could've pushed a little more- hence my comment about people thinking it's too SUV for a ute. I'd be happy picking up one though.

Hi! Only the high spec will come equipped with the power tailgate feature. The AC for mine works just fine! Yes cause we’re not too far apart haha.

Which one should i buy Cx30 or Cx5?
It really depends what you’re looking for. The Mazda CX30 is more sporty as its smaller and lower but it still does the job as a crossover with ample amount of space. The only reason you should go for the Mazda CX-5 is if you prefer a car which is taller & more spacious 👍🏻

With the regular 3 hatch being on the same platform with the same interior but being more economical while being faster and looking much much better I dont really see the point of the CX 30. Well i think it got a bit more space but if thats a priority the CX 5 is the better option anyway. For me it was a no brainer buying the regular 3 hatch.

I disagree I think it's the opposite I think this is way more practical than the 3 number one same price number two all-wheel drive on this number three it's higher up easy to go in and out and to me it feels more comfortable speed-wise they're basically the same engine and close to the same speed I think this is worth more than that. And this is coming from a C6 ZO6 Corvette owner

@@TheDude50447 for much more money and as far as looks have you seen the cx-30 in red it looks awesome and this is from someone with a sports car mentality like I said have a ZO6 I never thought I'd like a corny SUV but they did make this look pretty cool that's why I never thought I would even consider one until now but think about it it's all wheel drive looks amazing in red only in my opinion with the 18 inch wheels much better than a Mazda 3 and it has some zip in a 2.5 configuration all wheel drive definitely the cx30 highly recommended over the Mazda 3 hatchback
@@richardcerritelli9657 cant argue about Taste. For me the regular 3 which i actually got in Red is the currently best looking hatch in that class while i dont like the looks of the CX 30 at all. But thats just up to the Individual. Having driven the CX 30 for a few days as a replacement while my 3 was at the Service the CX 30 doesnt do as well on the road. It feels more spongy. And im not going off road anyway.
Here in germany the 2.5 and the turbo arent actually Sold. Instead we have the skyactiv x which is a 2 litre petrol Diesel hybrid Thing. Runs on petrol but used compression ignition like a Diesel to improve fuel economy. With 186 HP its also the strongest engine for the mazda 3 derivatives here in germany.

Hi Ian! Glad to hear you’re from Indonesia, it depends actually. If the size capacity in terms of boot space or legroom doesn’t matter much to you, then CX-30 would be the choice to go for! But to be fair the space CX-30 offers is more than enough for most people. The only reason I would go for the CX-5 is the higher view out on the roads like a proper SUV 👍🏻

It does! They have moved the DRLs from the headlights to the LED strip below it, which works as a signal indicator as well 👍🏻

You’re right! I’ve only included the 5 CXs because they’re all currently still in production with updated versions, and not being electrified to make a fair comparison between one and another 🙋🏻♂️
Hi, thanks for a great video on CX30 with lots of info! I m keen on this car but disappointed that, despite being a CBU from Japan itself, it does not have a 360 deg view camera and there is no built in navigation (as compared to the CKD CX5).
Hi! Thanks for sharing your opinion, you’re absolutely right with the 360 camera and built-in GPS, because for its price it should come as standard. Apart from that, this car just looks and feels premium!
