Perfectly timed review, thanks. Actually, I am so happy to see that big control know in the console and no touch screen... much easier to feel for the controls and keep my eyes on the road and no drifting fingers trying to hit the right button. My last two cars were top spec with leather interiors and I am am quite keen to get back to cloth. Now just to decide between this and the Mazda 3.
Great video IAM getting mine in December 24 I only wish you done more of the driving review as that to me is the experience of the car cannot wait together behind the wheel.
I have this car with a 2.5 AWD and white leather interior. It is the most beautiful car and the centre console controls I believe are easier to use than a touchscreen. Once used to it you can use it without having to look at it. This is most enjoyable car I have ever owned.
Great video Tish but cringed at the cross hand driving, anyway, I've just bought a CX30 in soul red and all my friends are green with envy! Best car I've owned. Quiet, smooth, comfortable, economical, reliable, I could go on. Also, love the control knob, hate touch screens when driving. Keep up the good work.
Pointless comment, maybe you would prefer her to do the diving school shuffle ,as long as your in full control i would not worry about the way the wheel is turned.
Ive had mine for just over 2 weeks. But, I note the versions available in AU appear to have a different combination of specs, than those you described for the UK. And, of course, they are called something completely different. I bought the 2nd up from base model, called G20 Evolve, base model is called G20 Pure. Then they improve from there. But mine came with 18in alloys, no heated seats, manual tailgate.
Great review. Just bought the Takumi model, very pleased, couple of niggles, can't wind down windows with the key fob, as you approach, useful on a hot day. Unless I'm missing it, the door mirrors are not heated. Apart from that, and getting used to all the gadgets 😂 well pleased with it 👍 PS you didn't mention the heads up display, surprised more cars aren't being fitted with it.
I was very enthusiastic about this car until I sat in one at the dealership. It felt very cramped inside and the view out of the back is very limited. The CX-5 on the other hand felt very spacious and the view around the car was better. The question is, do you buy a car because of the looks or comfort and practicality?
If my research is correct, touch screen should work if you connect AppleCar or AndroidAuto. Otherwise it does not. Great review. People say how the plastic around the edges and wheels is ugly, but I agree that it's better to dent the plastic rather than car paint.
With a white car I think the plastic looks a bit OTT. I'm in the process of buying a used 21 plate CX30 in dark grey and the plastic doesn't look as bad. Like you say I'd rather scuff the plastic trim than painted bodywork.
I can confirm that screen works on touch with Android auto. 2024 exclusive line. And while it works, I have no need to use it. Their dial-knob button works just great
Theres a newer cx30 now. Definitely touchscreen for android auto and apple. Also has alexa for more natural language voice control, for maps, climate control etc
Hi Tish I agree about the Touchscreen - would also be nice if there was an option to have a Turbo-Charged Engine if preferred. Once again, Excellent Review. 😀😀😀
It's a shame the plastic moulding does not come in the same colour like the car. My dilema is mazda 3 that is a bit too low for real life or cx 30 that has the ugly mouldings that ruin otherwise a beautiful car.
Leather dashboard ? Probably not, leather looking plastic with foam padding and the stitching is not real. Not a bad car though. It's a bit lame even with that 189 hp engine, that was quite surprising when I test drove that model.
Great review but I do wish you wouldn't drive while doing a review, it's dangerous. I like the fact that Mazda cars are for people who love to dtive. Buttons, switches, no touch screens and a good design.
It would be ideal if not for the known issues with paintwork and chips on the bonnet. Sadly, Mazda' car paint is too soft, even for Japanese car makers, makes it very rust prone. Same goes for the windshield which is very soft and catches scratches and dents very easily. Shame because mechanically, this is an ideal car, however, people complain a lot about the paintwork and corrosion under the chassis
Nice video, Tish, but who taught you to steer like that? Crossing over hands is not the approved way to steer instead feed the wheel through your hands instead. Much safer & more control. (Retired police driver)
One of the best looking SUV's. And being a Mazda it will be ultra reliable
Why buy an unreliable over rated VW when you can have this. Lovely car.
own it and adore this amazing car
Excellent car,got one myself.
Very underrated car in South Africa.
Perfectly timed review, thanks.

Hello Tess, you are fantastic ! Great presentation !

Thanks for sharing!
When apple car play is on the touchscreen does work just not for the Mazda internal system so you get both options. Just picked one up recently.
Great video again Tish, thank you.

I was looking at a 2024 CX30 2.5 skyactive G 140 homura but cannot find any videos about it ,would like to see the exact model.Thanks.

Any update on if your research was correct? Would love to know.
@@amyrobinson7567 I am waiting for my car to arrive, apparently this week. I will update.
Well, it got delayed until August.

Hi Tish, what spec/trim is this cx 30? Thanks :)
Hi Tish

It is touchscreen in apple play mode.
@@jimbobbobjim5105 have android not apple phone
It is touchscreen in android auto also.
It's good it doesn't have a touchscreen, they are dangerous and outdated already and manufacturers are starting to question them.
Wish they'd offer a manual transmission here in the states. At least on the Turbo model.
Hello there! Would you recommend this over a Renault Captur Hybrid Alpine trim? The car will be used mostly for city driving.
Absolutely yes! You can not compare reliability between those to makes. Mazda will last u forever

I get the impression that the video has voice over or the mic just blocks any kind of ambient noise
Depending how noisy my background is, I will us AI to clean the sound up.
So what! 🙄
Fabric seats every time. Think leather and sunroofs are bad ideas in cars.
And it's a manual! Why we get that here in the states 😭
Leather dashboard ? Probably not, leather looking plastic with foam padding and the stitching is not real. Not a bad car though. It's a bit lame even with that 189 hp engine, that was quite surprising when I test drove that model.
Leather seats easier to keep clean
Good tip!
Love it, you don’t see many cute ladies driving manual now a days🤙🏻🤙🏻🌞
This review is better with that British accent.

Only the bumper around its very ugly😂
Leather seats for me never seen any levr seats! 🙄🤣
The Mazda CX30 is SHORTER than the Mazda 3 Trish! 4395mm vs 4460 vs 4660 (3 saloon /sedan). Schoolgirl error
