I updated from the wave inspire 18 to the 19 about 3 months ago and I won’t look back! I over pronate and have had no injury issues in either shoe. The biggest issue I had with the 18, is that I could just not get the lacing right…either always too loose or too tight, in spots, causing hotspots. They must have realigned the laces somehow, in the 19, as they are perfect every time. I’ve done 300 km in the 19s, including a half marathon, with no injury issues. Extremely comfortable, particularly under the heal, the toe box is just the right amount of space for me and the outsole wear is consistent across the whole base.
I will be replacing my 19s with another pair of Mizuno Wave Inspire 19 !

I couldn’t agree more how lovely this shoe is!
I went down to my local store with an open mind and tried Brooks Ghost
    Sucony Guide 16
    Hoka gaviota
The Mizuno felt more comfortable than the guide 16, the guide was good but not as bouncy and energetic as the Mizuno. Honestly, I am glad I tried couple shoes before gravitating constantly towards the Inspire 19 due to its comfy fit, ride and responsiveness. Cheers

I mainly run in Saucony. Have a lot of miles in their shoes. I can honestly say the new Inspire 19 is way better than the Guide. I’ve always found the Guides too firm. The Inspire 19 is pretty comfy and is built like a tank. When I look at Guide, NB 860, Brooks Adrenaline, Asics GT 2000 v11, Hoka Arahi I would put the Inspire 19 near the top to be honest. Shame Mizuno built the same shoe for the past 15 years and turned people off the brand because this one is pretty decent

I really appreciate this review as I am recovering from an Achilles injury and the only shoe I have found comfortable on that injury is the Mizuno Inspire 17. The heal collar is great on the Inspire and this lets me know that the v19 is an even better version. Will purchase based on my previous experience with the Inspire and your review!

I've never tried the Inspire line, but I have 500KM in the WaveRider 25 (mostly treadmill) and it's been a perfect blend of neutral with a touch of stability in the heel with the wave plate. Normally at 500km I start to feel crashing in on the medial side which starts that dreaded ache in the shins. But so far so good.

I run my long runs with mizuno wave rider 25 as find it a perfect balance between stability and lightness. No injuries in them yet!

At Tokyo Marathon I used the Mizuno Inspire 18. I would be curious to try the inspire 19 if I didn’t have 2 brand new pairs of the 18.. 😅 I really liked the Saucony Guide 14 too. The Inspire do feel a bit too heavy. I remember that the old Inspire 10 and 11 used to be much lighter! For the future: I don’t know which shoe to pick: the Inspires are great but a bit heavy, the newer Guides seem a bit too light and not enough cushioned for full marathons.

My rotation over the years are hurricane 15 & inspire 10… it is time to replace so I started watching stability shoes reviews. With these videos i have watched so far, I might get the inspire 18. I already purchased the guide 16 today… both pairs available for great price points.

It would be interesting to have a comparison to the SSW smooth stretch woven upper version of this shoe. Wonder if Mizuno would send you that version?

I am a stability wearer and am currently enjoying the inspire 18 which I plan to run the Manchester marathon in

I've worn the Mizuno Wave Paradox 5 for over a year. I sadly got injuries from it after 165 km (and a total of 13 months). The well known shin splints and back pains. But also the pains you get from overpronating which is strange since it's a stability shoe. My physiotherapist told me that it might not be the right shoe for me then. I find it scary to go for Mizuno again now... I'll have a running analysis at a running store today. We'll see if I'll come back with ASICS, Saucony or again with Mizuno. 🙏

I had the Inspire 18 and found the heel to be firm and uncomfortable. Almost frozen! Went back to Brooks Adrenaline for comfort. Would be interested to see how these new Onspire 19’s compare to Adrenaline 22’s

Just picked up the mizuno wave rebellion sonic with your code from start fitness, and felt really firm initially on a short recovery run, but ran so smooth and as said firm but was so comfortable to run in.

I overpronate , but from Mizuno, I always have used the Wave Rider since it was good enough for my needs. But this year, I got my first Inspire , the 19th, and I loved it. It is even more stable than the amazing WR 26 ,a bit wider and more soft cushioning. If I could just keep one, I would still go with the Wave Rider 26 since it is good enough for my needs, more nimble, and a more versatile daily trainer.
Anyways, great job, Mizuno with the Inspire !
Next year ,I got to try the Wave Horizon ...

I started running in Mizuno. Got put off because they were really noisy. Has this been fixed in recent years or can you still be heard miles away?
