    Great review. I am running in the Wave Inspire 17 which fits me perfectly with the snug heel and wider forefoot. Glad they didn’t change the fit for the 19. Looking forward to trying the 19 as I find the 17 & 18 to be slightly clunky as you described.

    I bought the inspire 18's today. That was after doing running tests in store compared to my old Nike Pegasus 36's and many other brands, models and sizes. Go figure! I'm looking forward to training for another marathon soon! Thanks for making this video!

    What a shoe, I went to my local shop and this inspire 19 stood out big time. It's so confortable and has a lovely bounce. I also tried the Brooks Ghost and hoka and the Mizuno was excellent for me

    Just bought the Mizuno Wave Daichi 7 GTX trail shoe. Was trying to find a trail shoe that helped with my over pronation and it was the only one I tried on that seemed to work.
    Would love to see you do a review on them.

    I love the 19! I’m on to my second pair and I’ll probably get another pair to hold in reserve ( if I can find them in my size)…when you’re on a good thing…
    My first pair has already done 550km (340 miles), and still has some good outsole left with relatively even wear.
    I had a pair of the 18, but could never get the lacing right, so always ended up with hotspots. They were good, but the 19 is a much better shoe…

    Hey, deciding between the inspire 18 and 19. A 20 dollar difference on Amazon. Does softer mean less support? Or you are getting the same support and shock absorption in a softer way? Heavier runner here. 250lbs doing like 5 miles with interval sprinting.

    Last year I had the Mizuno Wave Rider 26 along Asics Kayano Lite 3 and Gel-Kayano 29 ,two stability shoes. And I go to say that the Wave Rider 26 ( snuger fit with SSW upper) is as stable, if not more, versus.the.Asics shoes. All three are very awesome shoes to me.
    I'm not sure the point of this Inspire shoe ....maybe it is the best shoe for runners with extremely severe overpronation.

    • @fabiocortesi2338
      @fabiocortesi2338 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Wave Rider and the Inspire have always been very similar and can be really used interchangeably. I fully agree that Asics lost a lot of stability in some models compared to the past (the gt-2000 10 and the Kayano 29 are both much softer and less stable than previous iterations). I personally liked the Kayano 28 better than the 29.

  • @fabiocortesi2338
    @fabiocortesi2338 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have been running with several iterations of the Inspire and always loved it; last year, with the 18, I hated it. They made the sole too soft for my personal taste; I am sure it works for many, but I personally prefer firmer foams in stability shoes. Not pleased to hear that the 19 is even softer......
    In any case, thanks for the very good review!!!

      Totally understand. Have you tried Karhu shoes before? Just their regular neutral model may be fine. It has a fulcrum that’s somewhat like the wave plate and the firmer ride.

    After 4 years running got my first Achilles tendinitis yesterday on my third run in the inspire 19s 😫 not sure the shoes are main issue (6 weeks into training for half marathon) but rewatching the review I wonder if I missed a warning about the heel😬

    I have a spossibly odd question - is there any difference between the mens and womens shoes in the Wave Inspire range? Other than the available sizes? I am a size 9.5 so can get either and the womens come in nicer colours!

      I'm going to the store to try the shoes you recommended for stability.
      Thanks again :D
