A “MARWM”!!!! (I’m making the “woman” aspect double initialled) Stealing the soul…. Oh yes, but what a perfect crime. Thanks so much for watching Emma.
Hope to see you running for many more years. I’m 52 and only started at 49 so I know what’s going through your mind. Just gotta make the most of it Tim. Gotta be about it.
What a video. You said your 48 and you have 12 years of running left . Well im 68 and still running enjoying in just as much as ever .i started running when i was 17 . Iv never been a fast runner never won anything but nothing makes me feel like when ive had a run .
@@middleagedrunningman . You take that Tim. I've watched loads of vids on running and there are some excellent ones about form and technique. You give me that mindset to take on my runs. When people ask me "What's your best time" Same reply every time. "When I lace those boys up and get out the door, that's my best time." Keep on doing your thing.👌🏼
I started running at 49 just to improve health and now I am addicted 2 years later. Everything you talked about is also happening for me. My family thinks I have lost my mind with all the running videos and kits I own 😂
You worry it was boring, that was one of the most interesting ones yet. I am on the same timeline as you, couple of years older, and having come through 8 months of zero running, your channel has really helped as I start rebuilding that base fitness. Cheers Tim.
What a great video, was an absolute shock to see us appear on screen 🤯 thank you so much, will be great to hopefully meet you soon in person ☺️🙌 keep it up
I'm a fellow addict, I think about running waaaay too much! It makes me happy, makes me feel physically good and is the only thing that would get me up at 6am on a Sunday morning! I did my first marathon nearly 30 years ago and now at the age of 60 have started running ultras. You have many more years than 12 ahead of you Tim! Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Well Steve, you have genuinely inspired me. Thanks for commenting. Ever notice people out having a run and think way too much about where they are going or whether it’s too late to nip home and get changed?
Fabulous video. I'm 65 and super keen and been since I was 6! And when I was in my 20s, I used to envy actors and people I thought could carry on their thing forever!! And here I am 65 ! Carrying on my thing forever! ❤
For me running is personal therapy & each run an act of self-affirmation of authenticity & perseverance. In a nutshell running is ritual. You can fake a lot of things in life, but not running (or racing). The running gods know - and reward accordingly. Been doing this since the '70's, hundreds of races & now 60. Running is not fair and you have to be genetically blessed to stay in the game. With each passing decade you see runners who unfortunately are predisposed to osteoarthritis & no longer able to continue the journey - appreciate it while you can.
I absolutely love this video, literally had goosebumps when you spoke about how your daughter in year 9 responded to you, and you are absolutely spot on in everything you said!
Hi MARM Pete the Pom here watching in NZ, I recently discovered your channel, it’s fantastic, especially as I hale from the Black Country, I am a year or two younger than you but this video (aging myself) struck a coard on every level….to the point where I was in tears on the flight back from the UK a few weeks ago having watched the same movie! Thanks for sharing
As others have said, age is no barrier. First video of yours I’ve seen. Will subscribe. I started C25K age 64. Still running now and plan to keep going until at least 80, if not 100. Seen videos of people that age still running. Maybe not so fast anymore, but I don’t think that matters. Don’t limit yourself by age.
I started at 60 and have no regrets. Will hopefully mean I should have enough in my legs to keep going for another 20 years. I've met a fair few people who started early and had to give up in later life due to dodgy joints.
I discovered your channel about 6 weeks ago (coincided with me being injured and spending too much time on the sofa) and I’ve been furiously binging my way through your videos ever since. As I too am a MARM and therefore cannot understand TH-cam, I’m ploughing my way through in a ridiculously haphazard manner: 6 months ago, followed by last week, Gove’s 0-2 down, the loft has or hasn’t been started, etc… I don’t usually do comments - cos I’m a bit crap, but just watched this video, which seems unusually personal and less of a grump about crap hotel rooms and dodgy post race goody bags. Just wanted to say, loving the channel. As a grumpy middle aged running person that also teaches I love the humour and sentiment of your commentaries - that more emotion than I share with my wife. Apologies, bit too much information. Keep up the good work. You’ve been smashing out some awesome times recently. I’m there or there about with the Half’s, but your recent parkrun efforts have butchered my best times in recent years. Looking forward to more great content - as the young folk say. Thanks again.
Really loved reading this, thank you for taking the time to write and send it. Thrilled you are enjoying the videos - I’m always a bit shocked when anyone says that to be honest. Hope the binge watching isn’t getting to grating, the formula for the videos rarely changes and it’s a bit much of one person!! Hope the injury is coming on ok. It’s a miserable experience. Parkrun has been a bit of a surprise!! Never expected to enjoy it, advantage to it being over very quickly… this particular video is my favourite. Pleased you can relate. Thanks again for watching!!
Wonderful stuff, even later into running me I played a lot of village rugby in my younger years 66 now .. running a20K race at Landsend on Sunday ..inspirational stuff
I agree with the other comments! This was anything but boring. So relatable. I started running 4 years ago, at almost 45. I don't race a lot but can't see myself stopping running while my legs still work. Also have 3 daughters, and try to set a good example 👍🏻🏃♂️
Hey Tim, since you've slowed down you've become more reflective, I like it, (I liked the poetry, Shakespeare and crap quizzes too - please don't change too much). I started running ten years ago in my mid-forties essentially to find myself, now 3000 odd days later, averaging 5km a day, I no longer have any idea where I am, but I do love it. - Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day.
I love that poem mate. It's next on the list!! Thanks for the continued support James. Keep on running... It's the backpack BTW. Every time I put it on I get emotional.
i accidently started running at age 19 . Now at 69 looking back running brought so much positive and great stuff into my life i love every run i ever did....even love it more today than ever before
Thanks for commenting!! So many people are Middle Aged Addicts - and it’s great to hear how they have kept themselves going. Running is the reason. We have appreciated it at 21!!!!
@@middleagedrunningman i knew after 2 years, i was going to be a runner for life. I knew after 10 years making sure to stay healthy is the single most important aspect of running. I knew after 20 years, that i can easily live without racing, but in no way i could live without running/walking/moving under my own power outside in nature and just feel IT....keep on going, i love your videos, be careful with fast running too often, keep enjoying your runs
That's really good advice. I do need to pull back a bit, if only to safeguard the future. Life without the run? No way. Thanks for being so kind about the channel. Really appreciate it.
Great content, M.A.R.M.! I'm in your age group, have been running regularly for about the past five years, completed eight-21.1K races in the past one and one-half years, and plan to complete my first full marathon right around my fiftieth birthday. "Damn the torpedoes...!" Cheers!
Iv been running on and off for 10yrs never took it seriously till i turned 40 and i felt stressed with life. So i took up running again but this time iv kept at it. Been running for 2yrs non stop i managed to pluck up the courage to do heaton park 5k run...after that i got hooked and iv ran tons of 5ks and 10ks and i cant stop! When im at work i think about routes to run and scouring places for competitions. I love it i totally embrace it whole heartidly. 😅
All that missed opportunity running in your 20's / 30's, ditto. Fantastic vlog summarising my exact sentiments/ feelings about running. Hit, nail, head, its not just me 👍👍👍
Thanks Alex. Really interesting to hear how many people took a similar route into running. Not sure I would have appreciated the running gift as a younger knobhead.
This might be my favourite video of yours. Wonderfully honest, humble, and relatable! The comment about how proud your daughter is of you nearly set me off. I concur with the other channels as well. Love watching the videos Stu, Ryan & Haley, & Andy put out. #marmyarmy
More common than you would think I'm guessing, I started running at 44 purely to lose weight and then realised I love it, now at 54 I feel the same.... time is running out. How many years do I have left before things start falling off with old age :)
Can very much relate… subbed! Great video and introspective view. I’m mid 40’s and two years into my running journey, addicted to signing up to races and buying shoes and gear. Have found 50km to be my fave distance atm, challenging and so rewarding. Wife thinks I’m crazy, friends say I’m boring, but the best part is my kids have embraced it and run parkrun weekly and it’s something we can share
Hi Andrew. Thanks for subbing. Can very much relate to what you're saying too. I literally see people's eyes glaze over sometimes when they make the huge mistake of asking if I went running at the weekend. Great to hear your kids are hooked too. 50K?? (Now searching for a 50K race)
Tim. That video was fantastic! Everything you said is so true. I’m 52 and started running ten years ago. I too absolutely love it. My wife of Thirty years is so supportive of me as are our four grown up children. I’ve just spent a bloody fortune on new trainers a watch and earphones! My work mates think I’m mad… but I tell them it’s fantastic to be out in the countryside early in the morning watching the sun rise. Keep up the good work and good luck for year ahead. As I’ve said before, we love sitting down on a Sunday evening with a beer and a marm video!! All the best. Gaz.
Thanks Gary!! Appreciate the loyalty as a long time subber. I imagine I’ve tested your patience at times!! Every now and then, I can be a bit sensitive!! There’s been a lovely response. Might do it more often.
Running is my stress release. Other then high school, I started about 8 years ago and I am so regretting not running when I was younger, but I know my body is probably not as worn down as some who ran their entire life.
Yes, perhaps it is an advantage to start later. I reckon you appreciate the beauty of the run far more when you're over the morony of youth!! Thanks for watching Rich!!
Great one this, glad I found the MARM channel, agree with you on the self care as a 54 year old I am like you who just get on with it, however I stepped away from a stressful role at work last year after suffering for 6 months in it…best thing I ever did & the number of people in my company who have said it took courage to do that surprised me as it felt like they could be the same but can’t admit it, always put yourself and your family first 😀
This is a great comment Mark. I get the idea that everyone applauds the bravery of what you did, but not everyone has the courage to make that leap. I think it’s amazing what you’ve done - and long may your well being and happiness be a priority!!
If there are people like me around your channel will do really well - your videos feel like my autobiography (this one and the alcohol one esp). Keep up the great work!
Running flipping drives me mad. I've done it all my life and I'm like you addicted! But hey there worse thing to be addicted to. Now I'm 59 I want to do a vet 55 pb. Keep going and keep bringing us the great content.
Really classy. It's been brilliant watching you get to this point. I'm the same as you with such a love for running. I'm 50 now and have been running for just over 4 years. It's so incredible. I like to put the word 'running' down in the middle of a piece of paper and write all the things it gives me (time alone, challenges, where I want, when I want, races, scenery, friends etc etc etc) around the outside and it's incredible how many things we get from it and out of it.
Deano!! That’s a great idea. Might have a go at that myself. Pin it up on the wall. Have a quick look at it before Wychavon!! Thanks for the support mate. Running has been a gift hasn’t it?
Absolutely love this channel, keep it going! Love the authenticity of the videos, love the truthful way you describe 'real life' experiences and love your approach to all things life! Also, as a fellow MARM, how do i get myself one of those mugs? All the best from Dublin
Thanks for this Chris. Well chuffed you like the channel. Will have to investigate Ireland. Sold out the first run of mugs!! Going to get another stash ready for Xmas.
Great to encounter your channel for the first time. I'm 40 and started running just over 2 years ago, and am feeling that increasing addiction. Maybe I'm on your journey.
I’ve been slacking on my MARM viewing recently but was told by two little legends today that I must watch this video tonight ☺️ Keep up the fab work Mr S - you’re brilliant. Love these videos - they proper cheer me up on a Sunday evening. Ps. Defo want a MARM mug - it’ll look great on a teacher’s desk 😂 DD
Cheers DD. The girls are absolutely thrilled you are a subber. Don’t joke about the mug….In 2 years time people will look at you strangely and ask what it is.
💯Empathize! 😂 Also, 48 y.o. and wondering why running didn’t stick earlier - was in a cross-country team in my high school years and then ran my first Half in my 30s but then there was a huge gap until I picked it up again at 42 and have hardly had a day off since… yes, obsessing about shoes and races, paces and workouts…
The Dr!! Thanks for watching. So many parallels. Maybe running is just something you pick up when older and wiser. Keep obsessing, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Just stumbled across your video. Can totally relate! In my 40s, been doing Parkrun's on and off for a few years but only really got the bug when I signed up for the London Marathon coming up in April. Since I signed up, have bought 4 pair of trainers for my rotation (i.e. daily, recovery/long, trail and race) after watching tons of reviews. Now watch a ton of videos of people running anything from Parkruns to Ultras. I'm totally addicted too.. umm.. borderline obsessed. 😄
Just recently started watching your channel and have to tell you I think it’s brilliant! You never fail to make me laugh! Keep up the good work! All the best in your races for 2024! Cheers from across the pond!!👍🇨🇦
Leighton!! From Canada!!! Can’t tell you how chuffed (happy) I was to read this. Really kind of you!! Hope you keep watching and enjoying the videos….. IN CANADA 🇨🇦!!!!
Awesome bonus video! So many parallels here, total addiction after starting at 40, the worst thing i've found is having an injury and not being able to run! It's very frustrating. However I know guys who are 80+ and still running strong, some people say if you started late in life you have more left in you.
Let’s hope so JC. I got injured a couple of years ago. Was out for about 6 weeks. Was horrendous, more mental than physical. Spent the first few runs after that terrified that it would happen again.
Hey, great video, cheers fella! Davey a running addict here. I started 3 years ago and am now 64. When I'm not dodging mountain goats ( I live in Austria) and plotting my next route, you'll catch me glued to running videos, pretending to read running books (mostly just staring at the pictures) and studying my Strava run info. Last year, I decided to enter my first ever event and finished a trail marathon - 1,900 meters of elevation and 5 hours and 20 minutes of questioning my life choices. Loved every minute (that’s a lie by the way but felt like it’s what I should say). This year's agenda? More trail events and a 'Backyard Ultra,' where the only thing ultra is my questionable decision-making skills. Then, I'm eyeing an 80km race next year because I am a bit slow up top and didn't learn my lesson the first time. My friends, who shall we just say are generously endowed in the love-handle department and who have nearly all had knee replacements, keep insisting I take it easy. I just look at them blankly (I’m a master at that by the way) and nod, secretly plotting my next trail conquest whilst they chat to each other about the latest pills the doctor has given them. Who cares about the years I've missed? I'm too busy picturing myself in my 80s, leaving walkers in the dust and outrunning woodland hedgehogs. Cheers to your videos, and keep the laughs and entertainment coming! Cheers Chairman MARM Separatist Group Austria
I nearly wet myself with excitement at the last part of this comment. Reckon we can get a MARM Separatist Group Photo in Austria?? Would love to run in your backyard. (I mean Austria - not literally your backyard). Love to hear about your Ultra. Did an ultra marathon in Broadway a couple of months ago. Tough tough tough. A couple of days afterwards, I decided I'd loved it!! Thanks for watching the channel my friend!
@@middleagedrunningman MARM SG (Austria) recruiting not what it was once was, currently just me holding the flag 😆. However, you are genuinely more than welcome anytime to visit and I'd be delighted to show you around our beautiful trails here in the south of the country ..Cheers 👍
This video hit the nail on the head for me mate! I'm almost 47, started running in Jan 2020 and wish I'd started a long time ago because I'm not half bad at races, but also because of the awesome people you get to meet and the places you get to see. Keep it going buddy, looking forward to watching your videos for a good while yet! 💪😊🤘
At 49 I'm definitely addicted to racing.. gradually watching my times get slower but it's not a deterrent and i have the same buzz now as i had when I started running competitively at 24, in fact I didn't really peak until i was in my late 30's early 40's... I absolutely agree on the subject of looking after our own mental wellbeing and using running and exercise to calm, improve or just escape the difficult thoughts we all have... 👌 I can't help but love your video content and I am really glad i found your channel... Keep it up Marm, it's all good 😁👍p.s. i hope to see you at a race sometime 😁👍
Thanks so much Lazy Jay!! Great to know the video was relatable. The buzz never goes away my friend, even if the short recovery is a thing of the past!
Well said mate, great video. I've had it in the past "oh you going for ANOTHER RUN" and "I don't get all that running". Well to be fair there is not a lot to understand!!! 😂 Also we are similar ages and I came to running later and think we will keep it going especially as I now love it so much. Keep enjoying it and keep collecting the medals 👍🎉
Hello, definitely embrace it ! Great video, really enjoyed that one. You're only a youngster , I'm 59 in March and training for Manchester marathon in April at the moment ( mum of the Ryan part of @raleyadventures) got to love being able to share the same fun. See you at Warwick
I already have a spreadsheet to keep track of my races in 2024. I want to race or at least do a solo time trial every week of the year. I started right off in high school doing like 20-25 races a year and I miss that high frequency racing.
@@middleagedrunningman lol I actually have a cost column as well. I’ll do plenty of free parkruns and solo efforts and only suspect I’ll do about a dozen paid races at most, which will probably come out around $300 because they’re mostly 5ks paid well in advance. Topic of yearly subscription to races came up at a recent group run so I wanted to add that stat to my spreadsheet.
Recently found your channel and it’s rapidly become my favourite running channel (and I watch a lot with my running addiction haha). I’ve been binge watching your videos and really enjoyed this one in particular. Thanks!
I feel seen 😂 started running at 39 myself, 44 now and the addiction is only growing! Did my first 50k last year and got a big year of racing planned. Enjoy your ultra, it'll be awesome!
@@middleagedrunningman cheers! And yeah quite probably! I do most of my running on trails around Sheffield and the peaks so if you ever fancy tackling some of our hills let me know!
Cracking stuff. There are some other great running channels out there that I love as well. You've all inspired me to lose weight and get fitter. Aiming for my first marathon in April. I don't know if I'll complete the distance, but I'll enjoy it regardless.
Watched this one a couple of times as so many relatable points and observations -actually first saw you at Brueton parkrun then found your channel by chance, subscribed and have enjoyed catching up on the other great content 😆 - keep on, keeping on MARM ! 👍🏻🏃♂🏃♂#marmyarmy
Ok. Yep, I have the running addiction. Started running at 50, I am now 70 and running better and faster than ever. Mainly half marathons and 10 km races but did my first marathon last year. I don’t plan on stopping running. You have many more years ahead of you want. Don’t put a time limit on it 😀
One of your best, love your videos (maybe its a mid 40s thing!!), so relatable. Im no where near the runner you are, but genuinely it gives me hope that one day ill get close after only starting 4 years ago (weirdly with three daughters, one in yr9, and twins in yr 7..). Keep marming!!
Will!!! We are kindred spirits!! So many questions. Twins nearly killed you in the early days, right? (Please don't say it was easy). Thanks for supporting the channel and watching. Keep on MARMing indeed!! (Putting that on a T Shirt)
Started running in my 20s now 54 even more addicted now I’ve had kids and they’ve grown up. I like making vids of my runs but saving up for a camera atm!!
That was a great video! 100% relate to everything you said there! I’ve only been running for 3 years and wonder why the hell I didn’t start earlier. Now I’m addicted to events (I can’t call them races at my pace 😂) and my kids see me doing something to keep healthy gets them out of bed now to do parkrun! Anyway, great change of pace with this video and looking forward to seeing your Wychavon way run! Best of luck and enjoy!
@@middleagedrunningmanI’m sorry - will refer to it as ‘the Saturday morning run’ from now on! And as for Wychavon…the fear of leaving your car abandoned in Broadway will get you through….imagine the Facebook posts! 😂

Recently become a subscriber to the marmy army! Great vid. Got back into running 4 years ago. Parkrun was my gateway drug, I've since tried 10k, half marathon, 20 miler. Where will it end?
Thanks for subscribing Andy. It never has to end my friend. I’ve signed up to races way beyond my capability and body capacity - but I’m going to have a go. I’m obsessed. It’s a gift mate, hopefully you like the look of some of the races I cover and I might see you at one!!
Brought Mizuno Wave Rider 25's just after Crimbo (because they were a bargain). Failed experiment. Brought Scott Carbon Speed RC a, week later (because they were carbon... and a bargain ) Surprisingly good... Now have my eye on a new pair of replacement Hokas..... I will have them, I will😂
Kevin!!! I also bought some Mizuno!! They were trail shoes and I thought a bargain, but just couldn’t get the fit right so sent them back. I love Hoka….but I’ve become a big Saucony man.
Great Video Tim. I’m currently training for the Paris Marathon. I started running at 49 and I am now 54. I wish I had started years ago too. Have you done the Charles Darwin Half in Shrewsbury? Just wondered if it was worth doing. It’s next month.
Jonathan!! How are you doing mate? Paris??!! One day.... that's fantastic, how exciting is that?? Just had a look at the Darwin? Never done it. Just noticed it's on a Friday unfortunately.... Those smaller races are usually worth doing.
OK, just stumbled across this from the algorithm. I liked this one. I'll give a subscription to your channel a go and see where it takes me. My name is Mark and I am a run-aholic.
Donato is 61 years old and recently ran a sub 19 minute 5k!!! It sounds like you had a similar Christmas to me on the running shoe websites haha Can you not adjust your running vest so that it is tighter? That`s going to be annoying over the course of an ultra. Also, if you are struggling with nipple chafing, NIPEZE plasters are amazing 😍😍
Thanks D!!! Cheers for watching. Will deffo make some adjustments to the vest. Before the nips disappear forever... The man Donato is indeed a Ferrari. Best Christmas purchase?
Don't worry about the obsession disappearing at 70. For me, it has become more intense. I think Curtis summed it up rather well: th-cam.com/video/t-l91O9VxN0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CvJkh3w5eIy75bV3

I am thinking of getting into running properly. I have been doing couch to five k again and i am trying to get back down to doing 5k in 26 minutes. Any advice?
Hi Luke!! Just start again. Simply as that. Make a playlist. Start little and often, build up to it. It will get easier - then set a date for a parkrun. They are usually 5k? Hope you are well!!
All 100% bang on. This isn’t about addiction, it’s about steering into the skid, letting go and accepting oneself.
Steering into the skid.
Done that a few times when I’ve been out on a run……

Thanks for sharing
It’s a great film isn’t it Pete??
Bloody That’s Life scene. Got me good and proper.🥲🥲
Running saved my life .. its not the destination or the the journey .its the people and new friend we meet along the way..
Yes it is. Met some great people.
Thanks Neil.
I absolutely agree with you. Keeping active that’s the key.
Made me feel better watching this after a ‘stuff’ day. Thanks…and keep looking after yourself.
Stuff and Nonsense!!!
Thanks for the comment!! Really kind. Keep on moving my friend.
I started at 60 and have no regrets. Will hopefully mean I should have enough in my legs to keep going for another 20 years. I've met a fair few people who started early and had to give up in later life due to dodgy joints.
That’s the way to look at it Splendid!! Running into your 80s….
(A geriatric ultra would be an amazing event for the spectator.)
A nice change of pace from the usual MARM vlog, thanks for sharing the perspective on life and aging and running.
Bit too profound?
(Back to knob gags next week.)
I can relate 100%… thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching William!
Totally agree .i started at 40 at park run know i run ultras And marathons
Kernow!!!! I shout that in a pirate voice every summer.
Cheers for watching. Amazing this bug isn’t it? Starts as a little bite… becomes a chomp.
Delightful video Marm,
Cheers Red!!
Wonderful stuff, even later into running me I played a lot of village rugby in my younger years 66 now .. running a20K race at Landsend on Sunday ..inspirational stuff
Thanks Alan!! Never too old to start.
Great commentary today.
Thanks!
I agree with the other comments! This was anything but boring. So relatable. I started running 4 years ago, at almost 45. I don't race a lot but can't see myself stopping running while my legs still work. Also have 3 daughters, and try to set a good example 👍🏻🏃♂️
Parallel lives Mark!! Amazing how many middle aged running people there are.
And who needs sons anyway? Watching the new Mean Girls at the weekend….
12:18 and every bit of it was useful. Thanks👏
Thanks Olso!! Appreciate the support as ever!!
i accidently started running at age 19 .
Thanks for watching Hiwayman!! Good luck with the marathon. It will happen!!
Pleasure to meet another MARM!!
Thinking about running at work?
Don’t know what you’re talking about…..
Thanks for watching!!
#marmyarmy
Thanks T-Rex you old softy.
People seemed to relate to this one.
Posting my Cost of Running special later. (Less tearful)
More common than you would think I'm guessing, I started running at 44 purely to lose weight and then realised I love it, now at 54 I feel the same.... time is running out. How many years do I have left before things start falling off with old age :)
GG - nice to know I’m not going nuts on the countdown.
Let’s round it up to 70. You’ve got another 16 years to smash out Ultras!!
Such a beautiful video
Thanks Phil!!
I had a bit of a Niagara Falls coming on too just watching your video. Very emotional and very relatable.
You softie Olga!! Glad you liked it!
Gaz.
As a long time subber, I wasn't expecting that - love the honesty Tim, properly put a smile on my face
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!!
Kindred spirits it seems. And I thought I was the only nutcase. Thanks for watching!
Running flipping drives me mad. I've done it all my life and I'm like you addicted! But hey there worse thing to be addicted to. Now I'm 59 I want to do a vet 55 pb. Keep going and keep bringing us the great content.
Thanks Col!! Far far worse things to be addicted to. Costs a fortune!! Great target too.
I'm an 63 year old running addict myself( oh how I can relate to constantly looking for gear) so glad I stumbled on to your channel. WONDERFUL !!!!
Thank you so much Rollie! Hope you like the channel. 63 and still spending all your cash on stuff you don’t really need…. You’re my inspiration!!!

It's a decent journey mate. Meet you at the services?
Love your video,I just like to say, running is life.I love it as much you do.Keep up the hood work, top stuff!!!!
Thanks Mate!!! Keep on running my friend.
I relate strongly to this video. It does become a bit of an obsession.
Don't know what you're talking about....
.....where you running at the weekend? (asking for a friend)
I’m addicted to marm! I got into running this year at 41. Just wish I my body would let me do more! Working towards my first half next year!
Glad you like it dreamstealer!! Share with your pals.
Hope it doesn’t get too irritating!!
💯Empathize! 😂
Also, 48 y.o. and wondering why running didn’t stick earlier - was in a cross-country team in my high school years and then ran my first Half in my 30s but then there was a huge gap until I picked it up again at 42 and have hardly had a day off since… yes, obsessing about shoes and races, paces and workouts…
The Dr!! Thanks for watching. So many parallels. Maybe running is just something you pick up when older and wiser. Keep obsessing, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Am an outdoorsy addict. Started running races at 17 after school. Still going strong at 57, continous all year every year. Still having fun.
That's great Rassie. Love to hear that. Will still be going hopefully...
Lovely to meet you Smashing Petals. Thanks for watching the video. Desperate to know which trainers are in your rotation...
See? It's an illness.
This all sounds spookily familiar!!! Great video... Thank you.
Thanks for watching Stephen…. Happy to bust you out of rehab if the time ever comes….
Lovely video, had me blubbering. Pretty sure I know where your favourite spot is, right near The Lakes station. Oops, hope I’m right.
Softie Chris.... Doesn't take much...
Spot on with my favourite spot. If its the countryside, pound to a penny you've walked my dogs across it!!
Just recently started watching your channel and have to tell you I think it’s brilliant! You never fail to make me laugh!
Keep up the good work!
All the best in your races for 2024!

I started running in 2016 when I was 37! Now training towards my first ultra this year! Loving the content 😊
You are my inspiration!!!!
Thanks Syed!!

I already have a spreadsheet to keep track of my races in 2024. I want to race or at least do a solo time trial every week of the year. I started right off in high school doing like 20-25 races a year and I miss that high frequency racing.
Tommy - seriously. Today I will be starting a spreadsheet.
But I will be keeping the “cost” column password protected. 😂
Tommy!! When you start getting into Yearly Subscription you KNOW you've got a problem!! Keep on running my friend!

Really enjoyed this one mate. Absolutely bang on the money with everything you said. Thanks for the shout big man. Ps I really like you too.x
Cheers Andy. Just watched your Park Run video. Looking for a place to make my first entry into that world… looked an option. Not too many people??
@middleagedrunningman Edgbaston was great mate, nice easy course that's not too tight. Probably a good 300 people there. It is January so everyone's on a resolution. Wait till Feb and you'll have it to yourself 🤣
Pressure is building. Do I print my barcode on paper??? Jesus, God this is exciting.
@middleagedrunningman no not necessary, just a screenshot on your phone is fine. I've created a shortcut on my phone so I can access it quickly. I think you cab also download it too. I also have mine on my watch 🤣🤦🏻♂️ I feel your anxiety, I was really nervous on my first one 👊🏻
