Well, as a bootmaker i can say ~3000 for this boots is too much. Firstly- 3:52 insole is very poorly made- in goodyear welted you should cut wider part of leather for stitching. Summing up- it should cost between 1200 and 1800. Boots for 3k should be made only with hand stitching- its a lot of work, but it makes them perfectly durable.

If you can not save up $3k-$5k in 4 years you need a new life...LOL I bet you they last you 10 years if not a lot more. Let's say you spend $4000, divide that over 10 years it's $400 a year. Right ow my shows that cost $150-$180 last a year if that. I usually buy 1-2 pairs of shoes a year. So at $180x10 years that is $1800 spent on shoes and for me I'll say is 50/50 chance whether I buy a second pair in a year so another $900, so I probably spent in a 10 year period $2,700. So yeah another $2,300 for that boot that is $4,000 but like I said cowboy boots tend to LAST, even cheaper ones seem to last. The longer they last, say 15 years then that puts you at $266.67 a year. It's odd what people complain about prices about, but I bet you have some nutty vehicle payment of $1200 a month for two POS. By POS I mean an ordinary F150 and a SUV for the wife.

Awesome handmade boots! I love all them... congrats!!
This is drip on a notha level
I go to Mexico to get my boots done which I don't pay 5000 for the same boot but only 600. N it comes with a matching belt too .. USA jus up charge for everything .. Nice boot thou 🤣
They aren’t made by hand like this though. It’s like anything else that’s hand made by an artisan. You’re paying for time and skill.
Lmao people that probably have never wear cowboy boots in their life dissing the guy that knows the price of actual boots.
But, but, but they're made in the USA...
@ThatGuyCarmine No, same quality. I have pairs of boots made in Mexico and they're probably better than this bullshit.
BLACK OUT this. Old school boot making where families would dedicate themselves to the craft is very alive in Mexico.
Skull Rings, Knives, Watches yes they are. Im from mexico and ive seen the boots
I love my cowboy boots. They are comfortable but these boots are on another level. Maybe a retirement present to myself!
Wow. I would love to be his apprentice. I don’t care about making money... but I would LOVE to learn his craft and to be able to make perfect boots for people. That’s amazing.
I lov to wear those boots in 90's,in our country at that time it is making charges 20$ ,thanks for sharing wonderful vid.
For some reason I just can't picture real cowboys being that rich.
Absolutely incredible
In mexico you can get boots for 40 bucks and only take 5 hours to make
Not bespoke
😂😂
@Heraldo Medrano wtf?
Leon Guanajuato Mex Paradise of Boots 👢
I never knew I wanted Cowboy boots
Awesome
Rather spend 10% of that price for a better made pair made in Mexico with high quality leather etc
Guero909 people refuse to believe some of the most top quality boots come from Mexico
EG yeah it’s sad but even huaraches come with good ass quality I think they just don’t want to see any thing from Mexico exceed lol look at the brand Cuadra that’s top notch but people scared to pay it but its all hand made the OG way
Guanajuato Mexico, boot capital of the world 👍
Being made in Mexico, I assume they are Cartel Proof and Bullet Proof ?
@@dianem6073 you can bet your ass that they are
@ 0:54 store bought boots are handmade, in Indonesia or China or some other 3rd world country.
Boots: $3000
My wallet: Empty
Sorry bro...
Lemmy's boot maker is the best boot maker in the world! i don't remember his name but they're not expensive as this..! oh and Yelawolf has the most coolest cowboy boots ever. (Rattlesnake)
I'd forget after 4 years of waiting, I hope he gives them a call or email as a heads up 😂.
I'd be counting down the days like a damn prisoner lol
There’s a custom boot maker in Weslaco Texas by the name of Moran Boots they take 4-6 week waiting time comfortable and affordable. They’re located in Weslaco Texas
“He said we’re kind off like the Ferrari” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 for $500 I can get a great quality boot handmade from Mexico
Martin betancourt Yeah, I tried that...mediocre.
Ducati Drew then you were not looking thers so many good Mexican or Spanish boot company’s 500 will get you a nice pair if you really look
Jeff Leblanc the leather cost more than 500 dollars for most of his boots. It’s not comparable. Not even close. But Mexican made boots are phenomenal for the price.
I wear an older pair of justin 2253s that have a the lemonwood pegs and brass nails but you dont see that much anymore in factory boots
Bruh just to Garcia’s boots in Rioverde San Luis Potosí and you can get them for half the price than that
Fantastisch 🤩!
Kangaroo skin from Italy? I thought kangaroos are native of Australia 😂
Maybe the kangaroo skin is from Australia but the leather is processed in Italy
It's like scrotum skin from a vigina
Yes, but the tanning process was most likely done in Italy. The same goes for french Moroccan.
The leather is tanned in Australia and finished in Italy. That's how most Italian leather products are made. Italians don't know how to tan leather themselves for the most part.
There's indeed a very famous tannery in Italy. Unfortunately I forgot it's name.
However, Italians are famous for leather shoes crafting.
Well, that's a real amazing vid, appreciated 👍👍👍
(I'm anyway happy with my Justin's lizard boots 😅🤣😂)
I can get some same quality in Mexico for about 300 bucks
It is NOT the same quality!
@@wildbillharding idk man. Ever been to león in Mexico?
@@wildbillharding it is, probally even better i got a pair of crocodile boots in guanajuato nuevo leon thats where i live
Seriously, OP? Do they use pegs or nails? Geesus - I've only been to Juarez.
Dude I was thinking the same thing! Lol
My family descendants were all in the boot & shoe trade - lasters, clickers etc, in Leicester
And will last same amount of time that every other boot last a year max. 7 months if your in manual labor
I’ve tested $100 boots and $700 boots I doubt these 3k ones are any better.
I was recommended 1 shoe repair video and now I'm learning how cowboy boots are made!........what kind of rabbit hole is this?
Tecovas and luchesses make good boots each prized on their own
Depends on what what you’re doing for me Anderson bean because I’m roping and working all day and just riding tecovas can’t hold spurs neither can lucchese plus tecovas and lucchese along with many other brands require a lot of care which I don’t have the time for so for me personally I like Anderson bean, rios of Mercedes, and horse power
Those are some pretty boots.
It takes him a full 40 hour work week to hand make 1 pair of boots... the price is right for this level of craftsmanship.
Yes, $3,000 must be there least price boot, that is not much if they take 40hrs.
I put in my order for human skin boots a couple of years ago. Looking to pick them up next year. Covid has really delayed some things and this was no exception.
you already know matthew mcconaughey is a regular here
Beautifull job 👍
He is not not making boots for real cowboys he makes boots for celebrities or rich people who pretend to be cowboys on the Weekends
123 Space fuck you
Because cowboys aren't a thing lmao
Rosez must never been to Texas ?
@@123space8 never been to the us lmao, people wear the boots for sure but ppl aren't riding around on horses with lassos
Rosez yea they are not so much in the city but in rural areas they sure are and hurding cattle 🐮 Ect
Good story. Well presented.
Im a novice shoe enthusiast, i have never been near to the cowboy culture, but those boots sound like a dream pair for me lol a blue pair boots
Who else would never buy this but just came to check what people would say?😂
I can not say what these feel like.
But I can say what custom shoes feel like.
And if the boots are the same way
You will feel like they are part of you.
Due to a foot injury I had custom shoes made. It doesn’t feel like I have shoes on it feels like they are part of me.
Our boots are more comfortable then running shoes
*attached millions of nails at footwear*
The nails are removed later
I guess you have never worn a cowboy boot buddy.
I got to come to Austin to get me a pair made.NICE.
Wow, a huge selection of leather sides of all kinds. I can see why he charges $3000 a pair.
hes scamming we have a store of handmade boots from mexico and made from crocodile for 450
Cuadra boots ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
3,000 dollars? Lmao
REAL authentic boots, like these, but in Mexico go for a good 1000 maximum of 1500 WITH a hat and buckle. I have my ostrich boots for 15 years now and shieeee they're still strong gotten better with time as well
Gives new meaning to "All boot, no cattle."
“Everything here is made by hand”
_Stitches boot with a machine_
The machine is hand driven? Lol idk
Handmade meaning he does everything himself including using the machine
Awesome!!
