    I have used my friend's G15 driver and also like how it feels. I have a used G15 3wood and like it also. I was thinking of getting the driver, but went with a tour edge hl3 and like it just as much. Of course I paid $135 for an excellent used one. A youtube video compared it with the ping g400 and he did better with the tour edge hl3 driver. The value of the g15 makes it a better buy, since most clubs are fairly similar in results. Love your videos and keep up the good work! To think that the technology of a g15 can still keep up with today's technology is impressive!

    Great review. Have had the G15 in my bag for the past decade. Decided to try out the G400 Max as a potential replacement. I'll try to remember to post back here with results!

      I think you will see some gains from the G400 max, especially in terms of forgiveness. Absolutely post your results here!

    Was convinced this is my best choice in the seconds market. Thank you for the review . I look forward to trying it on the driving range first 👍

    I bought a G15 3 years ago with a 12 degree draw. It stopped my slicing and my balls will roll very long for more distance. A couple of my golf partners are searching for one. I am truly happy with this club

    I think that's a good idea doing a review on used drivers. When they're new they're always in Prime shape and claim to perform better than its predecessor. This will be a good way to show how well they stand the test of time.

    I love my g15 9 degree . I constantly drive 400 plus yard drives , Ok 270ish . But it feels like 400.

    I still game mine (serrano stiff shaft, 10.5 degrees) because I haven't found a driver I like better. Periodically over the years I've bought "replacements" such as the Cobra F9 last year but the G15 goes just as far and is -to me at least- much easier to hit. Although I'm not one for changing golf equipment willy nilly I honestly wouldn't mind changing it IF I could find an improvement. FWIW I'm currently testing a mate's Cleveland HB Turbo launcher (new out recently) and it's nice but very loud and again is not as easy to hit. Fortunately I recently sourced another G15 as a back-up so it seems I'm going to continue to be "old school" for a while yet.

    Well done. This is an awesome review. I was excited to see this. Great quality found in an older driver. In a day and age where folks are paying tons of money for new drivers you offer one with good performance and quality for 50 bucks or under. I applaud you on doing this review. It shows people there is a way to have decent clubs at a fraction of buying brand new. This is what I like about you. You show people there is a way without spending a fortune. Joe

    Great video! I just got one of these (for about $50!) with a 46" shaft to try out and see if I could game a longer shaft. The first ball you hit, I didn't realize there was a net there and I thought you were hitting balls into the side of your shed! Thought you were literally trying to hit the broad side of a barn. We'll see if I can!

    Great review. I am playing a G15 for the last 10 years and still love it. Last year I tryied an M4 and my G15 side by side, and my G15 was slightly longer (although it felt a little bit heavier), no reason to pay top dollar for a new driver. Anybody else switched from a G15 to something significantly better?

    • @fit2yougolf926
      @fit2yougolf926  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a terrific driver and can go head to head with many new models. Regarding weight, Ping tends to run a little heavier than average, TM lighter than average. I'm a fan of heavier.

    I gave friend my G15 Draw driver about 5 years ago. I had just bought a new Callaway Rogue driver, and we recently played. I hit his G15 better than my new Rogue; I bought a G15 10 degree driver used the other day. It did not have the original PING shaft; someone had put on a 60g PING shaft reg flex TFC700 (PING originally had a stiff shaft in 2011). In future I might have it reshafted with the standard reg flex PING TFC149, unless I get used to the 60 g shaft. I prefer the club to the Rogue.

      Great driver for sure. It shouldn't be hard to find a shaft pull of the original shaft.

    Wanted to post on another shaft that was available for the G15 - the Axivcore Red 69 Tour counterbalanced shaft. This was an upgrade for the i15 driver as well. I bought a new 10.5 G15 with the Axivcore and it was sweet. The shaft broke in cargo hold of a plane and I have notbeen able to find a replacement on Ebay so it must be rare. I just bought a used Axivcore Red 69 R flex shaft and will be installing to a 9 degree G15 head I already have.

      Thanks for your post. I've not seen one with that shaft. It would be worth picking up another G15 if I find one with that shaft.

    Great review and video. It's interesting to see how well the older clubs hold up. I have a set of Hogan Edge irons from 1989 that I use regularly. When you account for the loft difference, their performance feels similar to more modern irons I've used. Please keep making the videos, they are very good.

      Thank you for such a relevant comment. Your insight is very helpful. I just got a g15 fairway 4 wood and was curious about the driver. Sometimes the best stuff is old school.

    I haven't played golf for a while but the last time I demoed drivers that Ping driver was my favorite. I will look for a used one. Now what irons should I try out?

    • @fit2yougolf926
      @fit2yougolf926  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend looking for a used set of Ping G anything if you like that brand. You could also look at the Sti2 irons from the he Golfworks. Very user friendly and they will build a set for you.

    The G15 is one of the best drivers of all time. I have tested mine against 40+ other drivers at range and club test, it hits it farther and easier than anything else I've tried except the G20 driver. My son has a used 12 degree G15 that he routinely hits 320 yards. I'm around 280 with a 10.5. With the Diamana Blue 63 or Serrano 60 shaft it is an absolute beast and super easy to hit. The G15 and G20 are awesome. The new drivers do not hit the ball farther - trust me I've tried most all of them. Look at Rick Shiels tests if you don't believe me. There used to be a video on youtube of a guy hitting his G15 over 330 yards and dead straight and he did tests on other drivers that were newer and performed much worse. If I can find I will post a link here.

      Did you use the stiff Serrano or R I'm currently awaiting the S shaft but have not got much use of a S shaft so just hoping now it works out for me

    • @tomsettles6873
      @tomsettles6873 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@conalsands4748 I use the Stiff Serrano. My SS is 106-110. But my son uses an R shaft and his SS is 115-122 mph, so it probably doesn't matter that much.
