I really do think they originally planned on the main boat being a Yacht. They call that little skiff a speedboat, people get lost or hide on their small craft, and overall act like it's much larger.
this whole game seems.. off to be honest. the environments seem disproportionate, the characters all interact like toddlers with brain damage and so far the plot seems meh.

Why was the brother hidden for any reason? What did it add? Just for it to be a plot point that he is gone for the interaction. Why? The writers aren't good enough to have included him in this section. He just gets called into the scene when he's requested.

That premonition where he fell out of his bunk probably had something to do with a decision Tom didn't make. Though it would've been nice to see what happened to him regardless, maybe showing the same cutscenes regardless of decisions would make the player feel as though their actions didn't matter as much..

Also, anyone else notice in the five seconds between them being put in the hold at gunpoint they all changed clothes? Awful nice of their captors. What the heck has the other kid been doing all this time? The boat isn't very big. How did three men not find him for all that time?
I think some of it is just supposed to be a reflection of your choices. Like...if he hadn't noticed her license was fake and called her on it then that bit would have never happened. Though I can't explain how they didn't find that dude in a tiny boat or how they never seem to hear the loud conversations the characters are having or care that they got out of their bindings.

I watched the Scary Game Squad play through this a few days ago, and they were playing a buggy pre-release copy of the game that kept fucking them over on QTEs even when they did it right. Seems like a really cool game, but the playthroughs so far haven't been smooth sailing. XD
Honestly I don’t think it’s the players messing up the QTEs. I’ve seen 3 separate let’s plays of this and I think the controls are just laggy. EDIT: I did just remember that they’re playing with the Xbox controller so part of it is definitely Tom not knowing the buttons lol

At the start, the Curator told you that the pictures show favourable outcomes to decisions. So far we've seen 3 pictures, one of which showed Olson shooting at the speed boat, and one of which showed Brad hiding under his bed before sneaking out. You guys should be aiming to make the events in the pictures happen (Make Conrad escape on the boat, and trust Brad to be useful).

I think Supermassive or whoever hands out the press copies of this made a mistake using the Xbox version as I'm watching multiple playthroughs of this and ever single person has messed up due to the controls because they are used to Playstation.
These kinds of games are just not made for Tom. Slow, relaxing and completely devoid of anything resembling needing "reaction speed" are what he's good at. Watching him fail at 99% of every fucking QTE slowly obliterates my soul.

Conrad has some of my favorite scenes in the game if he stays with the group, so I'm glad they botched the escape.
