Is your hair texture back to 4C or is there still some straight strands. I got heat damage in the front and the back of my hair but I don't want to cut it. If I were to grow it out then would the straight strands still be there?
Everybody must not have 4c hair and I personally have about 2 different textures.Try doing a protein treatment with Aphogee or do the acv and bentonite clay mask first.
Right, I am not big chopping this time. I did it years ago and regretted it big time. I am almost 6 mos post relaxer, bra length and I am just trimming. I will see where I am at a year and go from there.
Don’t do it. Grow it out to shoulder length then cut it. I cut mine too early and ended up wearing braids to grow it out to get out of the “awkward stage” where it ain’t short but not to long. 😊👍🏽
Finally someone who understands big chopping not the only wayyyy. I’m almost two years post now been cutting about 2 inches at a time. About 10 inches to go 😅
@@TheSecretLifeofAngel I’m just seeing this response. I did the big chop 2 months and cut off 9inches of relaxed hair. I had a lot of non-relaxed hair from transitioning. My hair has grown a lot since then. It is to my chin but Chile the shrinkage is a fool! Good luck on your journey.
I relax my hair because it takes too long to maintain. It’s always shrinking after I blow dry it straight to braid it because if I don’t the curls will poke outside the braid even if I two strand twist it before putting in box braids. When my hair was in its natural state it barley grew 😭 after I relaxed my hair it grew longer and it’s shinier. My natural Afro was dull and it was shrunk. A lot of people look down on relaxers but there’s people like me who have no other choice there was no product to lay my hair down it was too curly and too thick to comb through and it hurt in certain places because of all the tugging I was doing trying to comb from the bottom and up😭😭😭even my braids look sleeker with my relaxed hair and it doesn’t feel like I’m braiding forever I relaxed because I am not about to wrestle with my hair everyday but I love seeing other people transitioning back to natural 😩😩
Omg I just saw this comment. You can take care of your hair in any state (being natural or relaxed doesn’t stop your hair from growing.once you mastered how to take care of your hair,it becomes easy for you.

hey! I have really short damaged relaxed hair and I’m trying to transition to natural. I go to school and we are not allowed to wear any extensions, braids, weaves, etc. There is not much that I can do to my hair. It’s so uneven that the left side is longer than the right. I cant do any simple styles and i dont have enough hair for a big chop. Any tips would be great!❤
I think I made a full video on this. I use my oil infused with herbs, moisturizing shampoos, clarifying shampoos, dandruff shampoos for itchy scalp, deep conditioning, leave in conditioners, protein treatments, protective styles like mini braids helped me a lot. I’m trying to film a full video on this topic and I will explain everything in details so watch out for my videos coming up from this week❤️.
Hi. My hair is chin length long...i m also transitioning as well. Its been five months too post relaxer. N my natural hair has grown 3 incches long..i m on my hair journey so i m excited. Hopeful i can't wait for my natural hair to grow out.Pray for me sis😊😊

No on both counts. I did the protein treatment today. Aphogee to see if that helps. The good news is that my hair is thick so I’m hoping I can arrest the shedding. I’ve been watching tons of YouRube as I hate going to a salon.
I just made an appt. It will be three weeks until then because San Antonio apparently has a doctor shortage. Thanks, you never know, you may have saved a life.❤️
Keep the relaxed part until your natural hair is pony tail length its easier to style it that way
Yea I plan to do that.
I relaxed my hair 3 months ago and I just want to go back to natural🥲🥲🥲.
You are so right i cut mine too soon and had to wind up relaxing again now im starting it all over the right way😢
Fr I’m struggling today n cut it way to soon like 3 years ago
I grew my relaxer out out and just trimmed my ends every 3 months. It only took a little over a year. I did roller sets while growing it out.
Exactly what I’m doing right now.I’ve trimmed twice already this month 😀

I'm on 6 months and my natural hair hasn't even reached that length
Can you send a photo to me on instagram. It’s growing slow or breaking off.
I was so tempted to cut it
When I was transitioning
I couldn't wait too long s I decided to cut it anyway
Now my hair is natural, long and healthy
❤️❤️❤️ I already gave in and I’m loving it even with the short length.
I grew my relaxer out for 10 months. I couldn’t take the two textures anymore. I am a year natural now. I am so happy I did it. I love my curls.

Please don't fall into the temptations o🙏🙏🙏

I don't have time to Wrestle with my hair EVERYDAY. Went back to the Relaxer, mentally much happier.😃

I will and you’re making good progress with your hair. Good luck 👍
Going on 4 years with no relaxer. no chop but my hair is curly and wavy now...
Your relaxed ends probably fell off. Anyone who has thick relaxed hair definitely has to cut off relaxed ends. They can never turn natural.
My hair looks like this rn and im always so eager to cut my hair but ill keep on growing the natural part out
I ended up cutting mine at 7 months post relaxer
Switch to keratin treatment or silk press if you must straighten your hair ❤ its safer
My hair was relaxed
