- I'mI've finally completed my big chop after transitioning (9 months post relaxer) to natural hair. Now I have a TWA (tiny weeny afro) and although my transitioning journey was awesome, now I'm ready to start my new natural hair journey. I had had relaxed hair over 25 years so this is my first real time seeing my natural hair. I have no regrets. It feels like I'm back "home".💕

Yes girl you have the perfect face for it!! I know about the knots. I had a quarter size knot in the the back of my head. I worked on it for 3 hours. I said forget it and the next day I cut it out! Your hair is beautiful...so thick!!!

Hey girl, My hair looked the exact same way 8 years ago, My relaxed hair was locking up, on my birthday ugh. I got in the mirror and start cutting. My natural was only 3 1/2 inches long after the big chop, it took some getting use too. Now my hair 10 to 12 inches long and very healthy. I'm so proud of your courage. Educate yourself on caring for your hair type, that's about 4a to 4b Research, apply no heat or color, keep your hair and scalp moisturized! I wish you the best on your natural hair journey!🌟🙏🏽🦋

I remember having my emotions everywhere, after having my hair damaged beyond my comprehension, by trained and untrained individuals, and going into a barber shop for the very first time in my life, and having to remove that scarf for the first major chop 🪓 ever almost 3 years later, best decision ever made.
