Quando o Kit não é "Goiaba" e o modelista é profissional tudo é perfeito e o resultado final é esse do F-105, escala na 1:48 é melhor ainda....Parabéns pelos videos.
Seeing your model brings back memories of my youth, when they received the JB lettering from the ZB when they were still a detachment, the 6010th Wild Weasels. Somewhere that spring we were made officially part of the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing, Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base 90 miles north of Bangkok. The old city of Korat. Kit manufacturers get this wrong all of the time, the wheel wells the intakes, were white. The small circles inside the wheel well, that was an auxiliary air intake, silver colored screen. Cockpit is flat black, no back cushion, that's empty for the crew's parachutes. Made for hard, sitting waiting for a nav run to finish. If you weathered it, the cockpit rim worn down to bare aluminum, along with the cockpit floor. Rudder peddles silver. Area between rudder and fin, flaps, ailerons and the wing, leading edges and back of wing and rudder, flat red, a warning area to not put your hand in those area. Radome worn from flight, more gray black than shiny black. My radome, right bottom below pilot's cockpit, that has no paint instructions all around it, we had two colors, tan, or gray and flat black. I worked on the AN-APN-131A Doppler Navigation system, it gave the crew latitude, longitude, drift angle and ground speed, all handy for navigating over North Vietnam. As for armament, while I worked there, we only carried missiles for the Wild Weasel missions, usually two AGM-45s, the smaller missiles with four black radome panels, two underwing drop tanks. The second configuration, a 650-gallon belly tank, one 450 gallons, left side, one AGM-45, and due to Macnamara, a wing mounted ECM pod, when we already had them in the two side, blisters. By then the wing spars were pretty much shot for carrying bombs. It brings back memories. I go to the Air Force Museum and check out the bird there, worked with the 561s people on that one, we intermixed so we picked up on tricks finding problems.
Hi James! Thank you very much for your valuable information! Reading what a person who lived through all that is absolutely amazing. The armament that I put in the model was required by the customer! I warned him about it, but I wanted it that way! 🫣 Best regards from Brazil! 🫡👍
@MartiniModels I went there a twenty year old, wide-eyed airman, returning less than a year later, more a thirty year old, losing my youthful nature, and not quite sure why. I think that's why most vets had such a bad time at home, so much older than their friends that didn't go. There are days I think now in my seventies, and I could still fix one of those old, proud birds.
@@jamesberwick2210 I believe that it was not easy to participate in a war. Like every war, it only destroys people and everything around it. A hug for you from Brazil 👋👍
@MartiniModels that first time walking out and working on a fighter plane that was built when I was still a teenager, 12 or 13 years old, was amazing. It looked the part of fighter It was my only fighter I worked on. After that HC-130 Air Rescue birds, HH-53C choppers, and my last base C-5As at Dover AFB.
@@MartiniModels BTW, your collection is the largest I ever seen. Is this a museum or a shop? Or simply at your home? Would you please advise what are you using as seam filling in your video. I enjoy your Portuguese-although I don’t understand much…but your craftsmanship is well at the top. Have you built a Tucano - the iconic Trainer? Thanks
what a wonderful job,and what an expertise you show! you make it look easy but we all it is not,SPLENDID! and a pleasure to watch, job and final product
Greeting sir, that was a absolutely outstanding build, you 'nailed' the brute of an aircraft perfectly, my fabourite part was the cockpit, it was perfect, it would be interesting to see what it would look like in the modern US grey scheme, very best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, you have yourself another subscriber.

Thank you very much for the compliment! I've been modeling since I was 7 years old. Most are planes, my preference is from WWII. I also build militaria and ships. Next week I will post a new video of the full build of the Mig-25 PD. Stay tuned mate! Cheers from Brazil James!
you forgot to place canopy closing hooks on the canopies and open the corresponding slots on the sills. would have taken no more than one hour. you could still do it...

Só não sei quando conseguirei!
