В этом году (а именно в 2024м) исполнилось ровно 50 лет ЧП с угоном советского Мига в Японию, да да именно 50 а не 48, так как этот инцидент произошёл не в 1976м году, как многие полагают, а в 1974м. В 76м году кремлёвские старцы только немного пришли в себя от полученного шока и решились таки сообщить эту новость советскому народу. Тогда в самой ,,правдивой,, советской газете Известия и появилась маленькая заметка о произошедшем, там было много проклятий пилоту но о дате угона ни слова, оно и понятно написать что такой сякой Беленко два года назад угнал секретный Миг-25 было бы курам на смех. Так, дабы уменьшить позорище, кгбэшная машина совместила во времени год угона и год обнародования. Все эти годы я безуспешно искал тех людей которым, как и мне, известна правда и лиш недавно увидел комментарий Геннадия Кулина служившего в зенитно ракетном полку ПВО Приморского края секретчиком. Для большинства людей нет большой разницы двумя годами раньше или позднее но вот военные историки где же ваш профессионализм, сколько же ещё лож будет здравствовать на полях этих сайтов? Александр Новиков служил 72й-74й годы в центре ПВО Саваслейка.

Beautiful Tomcat and a very clean build my friend ! This is the first time seeing the Trumpeter kit built, thank you. I spent 13 years working for Grumman Aerospace in the USA building the F-14A, F-14B and finally the F-14D Super Tomcat fighters. As you said the Tomcat was truly a beautiful aircraft and I miss working on her to this day. It was a sad day when we saw the final Tomcat take to the air and leave us forever.

Great job with this model. The attention to detail is superb, and I am in awe of your skills. Just a couple of tips for anyone else who is watching and looking to build a Tornado, and is looking for some extra realism. 1. There are almost always black boot sole mark scuff marks on the top front of the drop tanks, as that’s what the ground crew use to get up on the fuselage when there’s not enough cockpit ladders (there’s never enough ladders). 2. After the aircraft has been on the ground a short while, the hyds will dissipate to base pressures, and the main undercarriage doors will sag/droop. 3. The canopy will also droop over time. The type of ladders shown clip on over the side of the cockpit, so when it’s open, a canopy strut is always fitted to prevent the canopy sagging onto the ladder and damaging it (plus strong winds can twist and damage it). It is only removed shortly before the aircrew arrive (along with the other blanks, but not the pins and ground locks), and the hyd system has been hand pumped up by the see-off crew. Oil streaks under the fuselage, of which there are a lot, are usually not black, but red (hyds) or golden (engine/gearbox). They will be very sticky, so lots of things stick to them, particularly sand (for a ‘Gulf’ themed jet), hair and insects, which also affects the colour. They are rarely, if ever, cleaned off on a jet on operations.

Beautiful model and good modeling skills. My only advice is, be careful with resin dust, it is very harmful if goes into your lungs. Good work

I've always wanted this kit. But the build is a challenge. I hope you do this justice.

I bought one and after seeing a build online, mine will stay at the bottom of the stash for eternity. Theres a reason why the company stopped thier plastic side of development and production and went back to resin.

Is there a file for printing the rolled up mattresses? Or do you sell them?
