- Changed out the fuel filter. Last owner was running ethanol fuel in it. 🤨
Picked this up at Midwest Machinery in Aitkin. They did ZERO prep, or any work on it whatsoever when it was traded in. Just threw it out on the lot with the expectation the buyer will pay to have any/all needed maintenance or repairs done after purchase on the customer’s dime. Emergency brake is non functional (found that out loading it), oil wasn’t changed, gas was ethanol mix that had beef sitting at least over winter it reeked so bad running and sputtered on the trail letting off the gas or taking off again. Tires were completely bald. I mean COMPLETELY BALD! Chad at Midwest Machine in Aitkin said he could put new tires on it for $700 extra. No duh, so could I (which I did). Buyer beware purchasing used equipment at Midwest Machine in AITKIN from Chad Peterson. After new gas, tires, fuel filter. It’s running ok now. Grease fittings underneath were bone dry too. They literally did not even look over the machine at all before reselling it. They could have. I asked Chad after the purchase when I noticed right away serious deficiencies after getting it home, what did they do to the machine? He had to call the previous owner to find out the oil and belt were last changed 2/2022 so obviously they didn’t even do an oil change before resale. Midwest Machine in Aitkin does not consider customers in the least or I wouldn’t find myself writing all this down. What should I do? Better Business Bureau complaint? - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
I hope the John Deere engineers that designed this abomination of a fuel filter were well compensated. How to triple the price of a filter.
