Great video! I just replaced the driver's side window regulator in my 2006 Ford F-150 Supercab XLT 4x4 because the old regulator was stuck and the window was only half way rolled down. AMAZING video. I followed this video’s instructions step by step and my window is working flawlessly now. I had zero previous experience with replacing window regulators and this video made it simple. Seriously, if you’re on the fence and considering paying $300 for your Ford dealership to do this for you, just got to your auto parts store, pay $75 for the regulator and take an hour and a half out of your day to do it yourself. You’ll be glad you saved the money

I just did my '04 F150 passenger side window that was stuck down. Followed your direction and man, was this easy! I'm basically stupid mechanically so I was apprehensive going into this, but there was no need. Honestly, the hardest part of replacing the regulator was cutting away the plastic (just took time). Thank you for your excellent instructions.
Really, really helpful. I watched the video 4 times before tackling this. By the time I got to it it was almost as if I'd already did the job a few times previously. With all your helpful advice apart and back together in about 3 hours time. (I was very slow and deliberate, tagging every item) Happy to have my window back. OK I just did this on my '08. The next time it will go a bit easier now that I have good knowledge of what tools to grab.
When I had the mirror replaced, and the door panel on, I noticed one of the plate nuts that hole the door handle was sloppy loose and didn't want to stay aligned. In trying to take it out and bend it back I - of course - dropped it down in the door. I had to take the panel back off and grab a claw. Next time I'll make sure the plate nuts are nice and pinched before reassembling.
The door lock post needs to be down - locked - so the panel will fit on to it.
The best way to remove the threaded inserts for the speaker (to allow the panel to slide straight up) is with needle nose pliers, nothing else. You'll crush one side wiggling them out but the screws will self-tap back in.
The screw heads are probably metric, but they're the metric cross-over sizes to imperial. I have full metric, but I grabbed and used 5/16 (8mm), 1/4 (6mm), and 7/32 (5mm). Next time I'll grab my metric equivalents but everything tightened up fine. The window crank is a #25 Torx bit.
When I installed the new mirror it now comes with a fourth screw in the middle of the other three. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a flanged nut like the others. I'm also a bike mechanic so I dug in my box-o-metric fasteners and found a 6x1 nut. I going to find a source for those flanged nuts and get a couple (one for the future left side replacement).
I have looked for other videos on this you are the only one that Actually gone step-by-step. The only thing that was missing for me is showing were or how regulator broke or malfunctioned... But Great Video Thanks just finished mine😁

great video! my only problem is trying to diagnosis what exactly needs to be fixed. How do you know what needs to be replaced the regulator vs the switch? I have intermittent sticking with driver side and passenger side windows. I just keep holding the button until it starts working. If it's the motor would it just not work at all? I feel like I just need to replace both switches since they stick while using the passenger side button as well. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!
I just got my part from auto zone and it doesn’t fit , I called auto zone and asked them if they gave the wrong part and they said I had to raise the window up and down to get it to spread wider , but it dose not widen. Is there something I’m missing ?
Why is it that my window goes does when I push the bottom up and when I push down goes up ?
Okay so I just did this and when I push the down side of the switch my window goes up and vise Versa?
Window motor polarity is reversed. Either the connector is backward or the motor is incorrectly wired internally.
What if the glass is stuck at the bottom and not raised all the way up?

The video says Window Motor Replacement, not Regulator replacement. The regulator is good. The motor failed and needs replacing on my vehicle. Can you add video to replace motor ?
My window currently started getting stuck it rolls down fine but won’t roll back up. How would you know if you have to replace the regulator or motor?
Sounds like it's a problem with the switch... take the connectors out and spray them with electrical cleaner. That's what i did and now it goes up and down smoothly
