- Hi guys, this is an airport scenery review for KEYW in Key West Florida in the United States for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This product was created by fsdreamteam as an upgrade for MSFS 2020. We'll take a look in this review.

I feel it necessary to provide an update on the above review as the developer has updated the package. In response, they have also changed the following which was items specifically mentioned in my review:
- background aerial image better color matching to the surrounding scenery.
- Removed default Windsock.

They look like nice additions.
I think that's great that the developer is taking an active role in updating their package and adding to it. Great job fsdreamteam. Let's hope this is indicative of the future updates and support we will get from this dev.
@@user-oj7hu4lc8v Thanks for your response. I don't know how you feel my review is glowingly positive. I barely offered any positive opinions at all save that the 3D modelling itself was nice. Keep in mind this in context to what was available at the time of the review during the initial release.
fsdreamteams arrogance and support or lack thereof is beside the point. I'm not reviewing the developer.
I do however reject your inference that I'm somehow affiliated with them or bought by them. That accusation is just incorrect. I bought this scenery like all the addons like everyone else and are not supported by anyone including you with a non-monetized channel. These reviews cost my time and money with zero return.
I've been simming since the early 80's on every platform available. I wish simming cost me less than 5000 this year alone. My reviews offer you a look at the package before purchase. If you see something you don't like then I have succeeded. That's the point, take a look and make a judgment. I am not making a recommendation for you to purchase anything.
I definitely make some mistakes and have been learning as I go. This is one of the first reviews I ever did and one of the first available sceneries. The bar is constantly moving as new packages are released. I stand by my review within the context and timeframe of its release.
I love this scenery most of all because there's a guy in the control tower. Hands down the immersive thing ever. Nice touch and look forward to more from these developers.
Stayed in the hotel last Jan that can be seen at 0 :42 on the far left side of the screen making a U shape with the swimming pool. I was in the building on the right facing the pool and can testify on how commercial aircraft go thundering by to your left on R9 in the winter time. They'll fly runway heading for a period of time and then bank left when cleared to do so. The scenery looks good and for a reasonable price. Hell I can remember in 1995 and FS 5.1 having a total of 140 or so airports...in the entire WORLD.
Great review - really exactly what i'd like to see out of all reviews. The particular value you're bringing is showing the before $ / after $ views, which is really what the consumer's purchase is all about: "how does my sim experience differ after i've spent the $ on this".
I'll agree with you on the ground textures - i'd rather have non-color-adjusted images (presuming the colors are already true to life). There are at least a few areas in MSFS where the colors are undeniably wrong (just outside KLAS), but generally, not too far off the places I've been IRL.
Looking forward to your next review, and this one makes me feel pretty good about getting this scenery later today!
extremely good value, 10 Euro for once cheaper on Marketplace than from website. So detailed, even has moving baggage carousel with luggage on it. It DOES extend outside the airport boundary, the Japanese/Steak house on the SE corner and the Martello Fort museum in the SW corner, also maybe the radio towers just to the north by Government Road. The wind scok is in the correct location, the chart is wrong

I've flown down to the original Key West airport in the sim. Definitely have the Miami and Key West airports on my future purchase list.
As I've said a couple of times before, I luv the way that you merge the before and after scenes, although sometimes it gets a tad confusing as to which is which? Notating each scene with before/after, or default /Orbx etc., would be ideal, which I did see you do on one occasion in this video. Well done and regards from the UK :-)
Fantastic, its beyond amazing how you do what you do. I came from the Canadian border but mostly and in Orlando area now and real world fly out of Orlando Executive airport. I have the OrbX Florida pack for X-Plane. Will certainly buy this for FS2020. It looks incredible how you present it. I'm guessing you're using the drone to take such great views!? Thanks as always!
I would love to have an Orlando Exec or Orlando Intl mod pack for MSF. I live close to them, and I currently use them as my base of operations for OnAir. One day....

I love that kind of review but the only thing it lacks is the impact on performance
Thanks Art. This is a very difficult thing to gauge (performance) as MSFS acts and performs so wildly different depending on how you have it setup. Some people are wildly effected by the slightest change in model complexity based on their settings while others (myself) are not that effected. I have less than 5 fps difference between country and city areas. So little a difference that a number of other factors could be contributors and I can not find a reliable way to measure this.

The low res textures are just insane, how how how how how how can they allow this.
Strange, it's not the first scenery I have seen, where the windsock is misplaced according to Jeppesen.
How do you like the Moony M20R Ovation ?

David Traves I enjoining it a lot. Only problem Is the standard msfs Garmin and the lack of a checklist though. But overall a very nice GA aircraft.
