I just realized why i like those videos of yours so much. It's the absence of unnecessary music. When i see a boat going over the waves i want to actually hear the wind and the boat just humming along. This is what makes your videos just.....great. They show what's fun and don't intrude on the senses with unnecessary distractions. Love to see you two on that boat just having fun. Hope to one day be able to afford such a nice boat as well. :)
@@AQUAHOLIC Sometimes I like a little music in there too....what really pushes my buttons being 'hard of hearing' or 'hearing impaired', is when someone is talking to you, and music is playing 'underneath'. I'm still trying to understand what the point of that is.
@@RoelskiTV Seconded from Belgium too now to play this back to the wife to put a little more pressure on for my next boat @AQUAHOLIC Lovely day, lovely boat, and great characters, wish you all the best in your new adventure Greg
just saw Greg`s ask the owner and he said then he would be up grading to something like yours and he did, great timing with the weather to get a new boat. well done Greg and Sally
Best of luck with the new boat Greg. It was a brilliant day for a first run to its new home too. AND a bonus. The steam train to send you off. Its amazing that in these days of technology, A.I. you name it, that a steam train can cause everyone to stop and look till its gone from view. Love boats, but I stop for steam trains too.
Launched my new boat for a trial on the Dart middle of June, couldn’t use Noss as their slipway was out of action, but the team at Blackness Marina were very helpful and welcoming, and a good day was had on the river🤠
@@AQUAHOLIC Thanks Nick, last time I had a boat on the Dart was in the 1980's so it was good to be back, and went up river to Totnes like you guys did a month or two back, bit of wind and chop, but the sun was almost too much in the afternoon!
Thanks Greg, for allowing us to hitch a ride on your first trip. It's good to see you enjoying it so much. I will refrain from making any 'Essex' comments.😊
Excellent, Greg's smile says it all - AND he will be able to get rid of the 'bucket of shame'! I'm realistically still a year or two away from my first boat but that doesn't stop me looking around, and having looked at quite a few around this size (probably for a second boat rather than the starter boat), I usually come back to this model as it competently does everything you need with decent space and facilities for a price that you don't need to be a millionaire to run. All the best from Scotland!
I loved that ❤ That means Greg and Sally can go out for a curry on Friday night , plus go boating on a Saturday morning/afternoon with added insurance , when you’ve got to go , you’ve got to go . Loved it , all the best and have fun 😀
Good call on the Jeanneau 805 its totally practical for berth space fuel economy ease of maintenance and for a couple. It ticks so many practical boxes. The boat has good weight to make it more stable - as opposed to a center console. Thats why I like my more conservative twin Cummins fuel economy and ease of use, Maintenace and easy for a couple Rivolta Ruhm Runner.
Greg is lucky to have you as a friend. The more I see of the 805’s the more I like them. Just enough boat with just enough accommodations for a great boating experience. Who needs twin engines when your never that far off shore and those motors are so reliable. Thanks for inviting your viewers in on Greg’s maiden voyage. Such fun.
Nick - Talking about 'Joining the club...' , you should start a Jeanneau Leader 805 register and organise trips and events. I'm sure it would go down a storm... 🙂
Wow, what an emotional video you could tell Greg was over the moon with his new purchase and hiw much he adores you Nick as a friend and the help and advice you have given him thoughout the purchase, bringing her nack home into berth really hit home with Greg, i just loved this video, happy sailing Greg im sure you and Sally with have great times aboard Dreams
Nothing better than two buddies on the maiden voyage of a new boat. Hope you had a cold one off camera. Watching you drive on the wrong side of the road in the begining makes me think the cold one was before you got to the boat, lol. Great boat Greg !!! Now you can toss the women folk on one while you two grab some poles and bring some fish in.
Congratulations Greg! She's a beauty. Looking forward to seeing the wonderful adventures that are no doubt just over the horizon. Nothing like good friends enjoying a few of the finer things in life. Nick, well done. I really want to see some of the great times you have out on the water.
Heart warming experience!! Oh the joy, and fun you two couples will have now that you are evenly equiped for your trips. Congratulations to Greg and Sally 🤗 Greg, Sally, Nick and Marianne will have the ability to boat together in great comfort for years to come. Awesome video, thanks😄
You scared the crap out of me when I saw you driving on the wrong side of the road!!! :) I watch your videos at 1.25x so you appeared to be really flying, too!
Congrats Greg.. She looks lovely.. Hope you have many days on the water just enjoying life. I`m sure Nick will be on hand to help you with the lines and any Gin that might be on offer too.
That was really good, a couple of mates, enjoying each others company and advice. Both with a genuine passion and interest in their subject. Do more like this Nick please. Great stuff…
Excellent boat Greg very nice purchase good luck to you & Sally. Nick will show you how to use the board on water this year he might not fall off. Good luck & enjoyment to you all.
Hi Greg and Sally and well done for joining the 805 club, we bought our 805 after watching Nick's channel and came to the same conclusions as Nick, nothing better for the money. We also have a KAD43 powered boat, it's lovely, maybe a little noisier than the D4, but we get 31 knots out of ours :-) when she's clean, servicing is significantly cheaper than the D4, so another big plus. Happy boating, Phil
Seeing "your" boat, Nick, through the eyes of your pal must be a real treat. No wonder you don't want to change boats. What a smooth, quiet ride. And much more spacious than yours - must have the expandable interior option. Thank you BOTH for sharing.
Excellent episode Nick. I could really feel Greg's excitement. He was beaming from ear to ear. Perfect start to ownership, great launch site, fantastic weather and trouble free delivery. Team Jeanneau!
Oh Greg we're so happy for you mate! We've always enjoyed watching you and Sally on the channel and can't wait to see what you guys get up to this season. Hopefully me and the wife will upgrade from our 642 in the next couple of years too.. best wishes from Poole
I don’t think Greg lost his smile the entire video. And Nick had the look of a proud parent when their child first drove a car by themselves! An absolute delight to watch while having a cup of coffee in the morning! Not knowing if Sally is well versed in running a boat, Marianne will have to show her the ropes!
Splashday on your new boat of whatever type of boat is your thing, just can't be beaten can it, and the Sun was Shining as well. Marvelous. ❤ Bob. 👍✨️✨️✨️
Loved every minute of this, for obvious reasons, and reasons I can’t quite explain. Just the feeling of being on the New York City Ferry, which I take regularly, is extraordinary- every time! But to be on ones own boat, going wherever one wants to? That must be breathtaking…It won’t happen for me in this lifetime, alas, but I do take pleasure in seeing others feel that good….
Am I seeing the beginning of a formation display team??? Another great upload and we wish Greg and Sally every minute of happiness with their new machine!!
The six cylinder sounds so much better than the 4 pot! Which is a great engine as well. But the mechanical sound of this one is impressive! Congrats with the purchase!
Another happy Jennau Leader owner there I feel, she's a smart looking boat with a sweet sounding engine. I'm sure with a calm sea Greg would be able to get her over thirty knots.
Lovely to see the new boat day excitement and a successful first run. I recently upgraded to a beautiful Fairline Targa 33 and was so excited I couldnt sleep the night before delivery 😊
