A customer who knows his stuff and sounds like he could too give some very sound advice! Top man and top video! Very nice little coupe ship too! Gadgets galore and smart layout ✨️
Another great meet the owner and boat tour. Giles really has got exactly what he wants and uses the boat perfectly! Many thanks as always Nick and have a great weekend one and all.
Great bloke, knows what he wants and got it. Seems like a very knowledgeable guy, this is a lovely yacht and looks well equipped. Great meet the owner video Nick thank you.
What a nice guy Giles is. How intelligent he is to keep his boat separate from his marina. His downtime with his wife/family is obviously precious. Great post Nick.👍
He needs to make a youtube channel I would love to watch his weekends out on the boat.. Its marvelous listening to him speak about his career in boating
Boat is wonderful. Apartment on water. Was the best meet the owner. Very comfortable and relaxed. Seems like a very nice guy, very competent and articulate. Very Nice interview!
Fist time I ever heard a reason to not have a flybridge and thought it made sense! This man knows what he wants and is knowledgeable about what he's doing, great stuff.
It's nice to have a guided tour because you see the room that you have on the boat. When there is nobody it's never easy to see the space that you have. Because sometimes you have the impression that the room is actually small but when you see somebody in that room it is easier to imagine the space. Thanks Nick for all the work you are doing love to see you
Oh, the beep beep noise. I was in a queue behind a very large lady. Her phone went off and it was a beep beep ringtone. The guy behind tapped me on the shoulder saying " Watch out mate. I think she's reversing "
That’s it, we’ve found it. Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve discovered the perfect yacht! I can’t think of a yacht anywhere near this price or near this size that is this breathtaking and with this much useable space! This is a life goal. Thanks Nick!
@@willyhenderson6320& @Darth KEK I don't know how build quality and seaworthiness compares to the Galeon, but yes I tend to agree, the Galeons seem hard to beat for use of space and what you get for the price. The rotating cockpit seating, the multifuction bow seating, the drop balconies and moveable interior seating etc. make them feel bigger than they have any right to. (My ambition is to get up to a 500 Fly one day). In saying that, this Prestige 520 is a fantastic and spacious boat and maybe more practical for UK boating.
I always smile when a European or Britsh person says "We have a huge fridge/freezer". As an American it doesn't look huge at all to me. I enjoy these meet the owner videos. It is always interesting to hear their boating history. Great job, as always, Nick!
I feel so sophisticated when watching your videos! This one especially. I’ve been working on my British ascent and pronounce words like “fly bridge” and “passerelle”. Thanks for the education from TEXAS!!!!
I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of the "meet the owner" series, but ... I found Giles to be a totally lovable chap. I'd be more than happy to buy a boat, or car, off him, or even just sit in the cockpit chatting law all evening. Thank you, Giles, for showing us around Number 10 and for taking the effort to make her so presentable. I enjoyed your story and I feel our motivations are pretty well aligned. Good luck with the figure '8', I'm sure you'll love it and I wish you fair winds and following seas.
Wow! What a brilliant owner Charles certainly knows how to enjoy life, a career in boating or a member of the Bar, he chose the former and succeeded! Another caring and successful person who knew the way to the wife's heart, so she enjoys it as well, success Charles and a lovely person too boot!
Love meet the owner series!! I love boating I missed my calling! We use to produce the TV show Selling Yachts mostly filmed in Florida and I truly miss touring boats and being at the marina. Especially the Fort Lauderdale international boat show I just love it! Keep up the great work.
Another brilliant meet the owner and tour, fantastic boat. Love the sliding swim platform, looks immense even with a tender on it! Thanks Nick and thanks Giles for letting us on board. Brilliant!!
I love that having never been boating and only discovering your channel a few weeks ago, I’m now jumping on new videos as they come in, “Ooh good, another Meet The Owner!” 😁
Giles has spec'd this boat to perfection and I totally agree with the Flybridge deletion. A very practical and sociable size too for two plus the occasional visit from family and friends.
What a nice interview. Knowledge, wit and personality combined; Plus the added benefit of seeing a person that has ironed clothing upon his person… This speaks volumes asto the type of gentleman and care that he must have - meaning he looks after himself well so everything else should follow suite (No-pun)!
Hi Nick and Giles. A fantastic boat. Immaculate decking, engine room and overall appearance. 3 good size cabins. Having the dynamic positioning (sky hooks) is perfick for single handed boating. Awesome history. Another cool meet the owner series. Thanks 😊
There’s something about a guy wearing a gold Rolex pointing at a crew cabin calling it a slave cabin that doesn’t translate very well on film 🤣. Still all in jest I’m sure and he seems like a very pleasant guy and proud of his boat. 👍
Calls it slave cabin but says he'd never used a crew... I took it as him poking fun at the kind of people who would have a crew member on a boat thats perfectly manageable for even 1 person to operate...
What an extremely nice boat some very well thought out features on her one thing that stood out was the handles on the fridge/freezer doors they would be nice on some motorhomes. And what a beautiful Boat to go cruising in. Many thanks for the video.
Giles sold me my first boat back in 2007 when he ran Medway Boat sales. It was a Birchwood 370 called 'Maria II'. Nice chap to do business with. I too have a Prestige now a 42S
Another great meet the owner video (my favourite video type). Yes keep the daughters boyfriend in the crew cabin (haha). Great to hear from seasoned experienced owners. The barbeque on the back , the decision not to have a fly bridge and the reasons for it , the door at the helm , GPS position control. I was thinking , on a boat this size that a fully asymmetric layout would be a good option ? Also interesting to hear that Giles seemed more interesting in touring the British Isles rather than the Med. Liked hearing that the Isles off West coast Scotland features so highly. I travel through Largs now and again. So another brilliant and informative 'meet the owner'. Another lovely owner, thanks Giles for letting me spend a half hour on your lovely boat with some great company !!!
So much fun having boat owners interact with you, Nick. And again, you've found a person who has spent his money properly - on a boat. Beauty boat, by the way. Thank you so much for sharing this - BOTH of you.
Very enjoyable - and speaking to owners, who each share their experiences openly and honestly without sounding prudish, make excellent viewing! Thanks Nick!
Seems like a great fella! Thanks to you both for the great tour and brilliant conversation. Some of what life’s all about, sharing what you love with others. Cheers!
Great meet the owner Nick and what a great family boat , lots of gadgets and very practical, I love the fact he can go out on his own quite easily, my idea of heaven, although I would treat the slave every now and then for a day out
Always interesting to meet these owners. For the most part, they are obviously intelligent and successful in life (in order to own these magnificent vessels) so their insights are on point and insightful. I'm not sure, Nick, if you seek them out or they seek you out to make these vides, but it doesn't really matter......keep making them!
Been watching you (from Aus) for years Nick and love the work you do! Sat down in our hotel having just flown in from Split, browse TH-cam to catch up, turn on AquaHolic first as I always do; and there you are doing a vlog at the Marina in front of my hotel room. Had we arrived a few hours earlier or a day perhaps (arrived late Thursday) we would have seen you in action!!! Now wandering past the fabulous array of Galeons, Sunseekers, Princesses etcetera to fill my hearts desire!
Nick you find the most congenial, genuine and interesting owners! Keep his number close at hand, I see a 68’er with a built in ironing board in his future. Fun fact; a 68’ motor yacht is an excellent length for keelhauling a daughter’s wanna be boyfriend…lol…(sympathetic laughter)…
A very interesting boat, some very nice features and great salon area and for a change a crew cabin that’s not like Sunseekers cofin crew cabins. Also interesting owners storyline.👍😱🐾🐾
I really need to stop watching this channel. Yet another floating palace to add to the list. Giles is certainly living the dream, and what a vessel to do it on. Great episode as always Nick.
Another great “meet the owners” vid, Nick. I always really enjoy these. Nice owner and fascinating story. I love the boat. I’m on boat No 1 now, so maybe in a few boats time….😀
Great video Nick. Love meet the owners. Another great owner with a lovely boat. Must be nice going round different boats but that is the good thing I love watching it could be 150ft or 20ft it's nice to see the different style of boats. It is great to watch keep up the good work Nick.
A really nice boat, not OTT but comfortable and home from home. I love the duvet sets, but I doubt if the better half would consent to them. I did get a wall of sailing boat wall paper for my den though ! The tour of Scotland would interest me as there are a lot of distillery's around the coast of Scotland. Especially Islay, you could anchor there for a fortnight and turn the blood to anti freeze with excellent malt ! Cheers.
