The problem with TH-cam Premium (and most subscription services) is that they are way too expensive for people on a normal salary. Even having a couple of subscriptions to services that you might only use occasionally can easily add up to $100 a month.
It’s a choice, you don’t have to subscribe to anything… you also don’t have to drink $7 Starbucks coffee but many people on a “normal salary” do almost every day 🙈😝😂🤷♀️

As an "older" gentleman I love all of the wooden interiors. Newer yachts just don't seem to have the warmth of the older yachts. I just love your videos and can't wait for Saturday to see what you guys find next.
One of the main differences between double doors and French doors is the material in which they are crafted. Double doors are often made of solid wood, whereas French doors are crafted with panes of glass which helps flood the space with natural light. Great video as always. Loved this trawler :)
What a beautiful boat. It is clear the owner took exceptional care of it. I can definitely see myself living on that boat! Very nice tour! I really enjoyed this one!!!
1. NautiStyles does exceptionally good boat tours. 2. For me the stying falls into the realm of old, but not old enough to be retro and cool/interesting. I think that is down to my age. I recognize the styling and now see it as clunky. It is definitely a nice boat (not for me - there are no sails), but I would want to rip out much of that clunky old wood furniture and replace it with something sleeker. That would ruin the boat. It is a beautiful example representing the style of when it was built. If it were in bad condition, then ripping out and starting fresh on the interior would be justified. But it is in great condition. I hope the right new owner finds it and loves it for what it is.
Man I love that top party deck. The way they extended the roof over the rear cockpit gives you a great place to put the dinghy and so much more room up top. The huge bridge, everybody can hang out there and that table is your main indoor dining area. Spin the helm chair around, get a couple stools from the kitchen and it seats 9. This boat doesn't look her age AT ALL, owners took great care of her.
I was born in 72' an area long before cell phones, or even internet. if we wanted to see boats like this, we had to depend on usually, one fuzzy out of focus/blurry pic. and a description of everything else, allowing you imagination to run wild. If you were unfamiliar with boats, or hadn't seen a classic boat interior/exterior. then you had no idea what they were trying to describe. therefore it is very much a delight to watch your detailed tours, of what hopefully one day, could be one of my future liveaboards'. Thank you guys so much, for everything you show us.
32:40 There should be a small "tray" that can clip into that space that would then hold a bar of soap. In the bathroom shower of the home I grew up in, we had this exact same design 😊
I think the "Tray" your referring too is in the video. Go back to that Bathroom and look behind her on the Bench. There's a Squeegee leaning up in the corner and next to it looks to be a Soap drying rack (Best I can describe it, LOL). Maybe that little Tray sits in that silver shelf in the shower when your bathing. He may have positioned it over by the Squeegee to air dry the Soap Rack and the shelf before putting it back in there? Just my guess, I may be wrong on that. The shapes of the both of them don't look like they go together actually. But the owner just made due with it to work for him.
For 25 years old that's not in bad shape at all, a very nice live aboard boat for sure, I would love to live on this in some tropical location. Great tour you two thank you.
As Nick from Aquaholic would say, this one has a "proper little ship feel." That pilot house/helm seemed more like a ship's bridge, and then when you throw in the Portuguese bridge it really belies the 60-footer LOA.
This really is a terrific live-aboard. Separating the cabins gives good privacy. You could even have 2 crew sleeping forward and the owner aft. And the pilot house is something else, it's huge for a 60 footer. About the word 'dogged': When a hatch is closed and locked down, it is considered 'dogged'. So the word 'dogged' in this case is a verb, it describes the action of locking the hatch. I do not know the etymology of this word, but as dogs are not common on commercial ships, I doubt it has anything to do with animals. Great tour! 😍
"Dogging down" comes from the old tool which was used to do it -- called a dogleg, it looks and works a bit like an Allen wrench, but bigger. The dogleg was put into a buckling latch to lever it closed and seal the hatch, or could be turned in a bolt to tighten the bolt and close it that way. So 'dogging down the hatches' was to close them with a dogleg.
You guys are so fun much to watch. Not only do you show us these great yachts but so entertaining doing so. Double door, French door, Dog doors. I love it. Thanks. ;)
The Grand Alaskan has long been one of my favorite yachts. Very well built. Very good designs. Excellent live aboard. And enough storage for long distance cruises. Thanks for showing us this great yacht.
Always enjoy watching your videos, your couple dynamic is heartwarming and genuine. I feel like I'm watching old friends enjoying their lives with each other and inviting us, the viewer along for the ride, if just for a boat tour. Cheers, and hope the Bering gives you many years of enjoyment!
Awesome boat! The owner really showed genuine care for the boat and its a blessing for anyone who buys it next, I just hope they continue to maintain and upgrade it as the years pass, what a cool boat!!
Victoria- Keeping opening all the drawers and cabinets! I love it. It’s why I subscribed. I know it’s weird, but I find it fascinating how people make use of space in small spaces. I’ve gotten so many good ideas for my home and my mother’s home from these videos.
I love to see mostly original interior, well maintained antique boats and it frightens me how antique a boat from 1999 is looking because I feel old but I wouldn’t change a thing! Think how cool this will be in another 10 years
Hey now! This is a classic being only 25 years old and the same vintage as the first brand new vehicle I've ever bought. Yup, old. :( haha The interior isn't my style but preserving it is very cool indeed. Definitely agree with that.
That would be a great liveaboard. Love it Double doors v French doors. Double, will typically just have plate, or double glazed glass, while French doors will have multi faceted glass fitted instead. And, yes Victoria(I was so tempted to just say “There is a Santa Clause😏), that’s was a soap dish in the shower. As for the slot in the crt TV, I’m old enough you probably wouldn’t recognize devices I’ve used 😂
"Dogging down" hatches (to tightly secure) might be what you refer to regarding the doors to the pilot house. Soap dish in master shower. Beautiful yacht perfectly maintained!
A very nice boat indeed. As you have stated & shown; the owner has done an excellent job of caring for & updating the boat. I would very much like to have a boat like this. Thank you for this video & all of your other videos that I have watched. Victoria & Rico you certainly know how to present & explain boats. Thank you again.
Dogs - "The objects that are wedged against the door to hold it closed are dogs. To dog the doors means to close the doors and secure them in the closed positions. Similarly, hatches are the horizontal openings between decks, and are secured with hatch dogs." And I hope it's not too late to change your pilot house. That is a gorgeous set-up in this pilot house 🥰
Love watching you two. We recently joined the Patreon and it's great. We highly recommend it. They are just as fun on the Patreon, very knowledgable and Rico is a walking wikipedia on boat engines. They have been so helpful in giving us info and helping with our first boat purchase.
FINALLY!!!! At 1:36, you actually say what "NBBL" stands for!!! New Boat Build List. I've been wondering for quite a while now what that meant. You should actually say that more often. I thoroughly enjoy your channel, and the chemistry the two of you have. Because of this channel, I'm actually seriously considering the purchase of my first water vehicle.
With all your boating experience do you think a Barton and Gray membership is good idea for someone who likes boating but doesn't want to own???Love the channell
Google has this about double.French doors: One of the main differences between double doors and French doors is the material in which they are crafted. Double doors are often made of solid wood, whereas French doors are crafted with panes of glass which helps flood the space with natural light.
HI - Dogs are what are used to seal a door shut. The door is a door. As a rule you can only dog (seal shut) a waterproof/weatherproof door, or doors between the inside or outside or between watertight compartments. So the dogs are the turning things not the whole door.
Nice yacht. Like any Asian-built boat from that era, a prospective buyer needs to have a thorough survey done on decks and superstructure to check for de lamination, and to check fuel and water tanks for integrity. But the layout is sensible and it appears to be a capable coastal cruising boat. Thanks for a thorough tour.

Our next boat will have stabilisers for sure, and a stand up engine room. It is the little things, but those little things make all the difference when they are a part of your every day!!
1st time commenting, the holder in the masterhead is for holding toilet paper. It has a bar to hold the paper roll and mounts horizontally. Love your channel.
Well, you've probably already been told, but just in case 😅😅 you haven't, the entertainment unit in the vip cabin is a TV Vhs video tape combination, very 80's, and in the masters cabin shower that thingy is a soap dish. Great boat and a great video ❤ thanks.
I really enjoy watching your videos. I don't understand what all the negative remarks on Instagram are all about. This is a beautiful yacht. Rico I loved the look on your face while you were in the master cabin and Victoria was about to close the door on your face. Stay safe.
Incredible yacht. Very well maintained. Almost my new favorite yacht!! I believe it's a soap holder (bar soap) Another item 20+ year olds won't know what it is 😉. Thanks!! Great tour, great boat 🛥️.
A classic NW Pacific Trowler Yacht. Great review as always. I am a Great Lakes and inland lakes guy being in Wisconsin. One day I would like to have a boat/yacht that could take me the THE LOOP or at least the 5 Great Lakes.
A video with advices where to keep the boat in Florida for "snow bird - live on board" would be helpful or where to keep the boat when you travel back home but boat stays in Florida in off / hurricane season.
Love your videos and great job on displaying boats, I would like to make one suggestion and that would be to include engine room height. For us taller diy guys it’s an important aspect. Thanks !
Classy, very classy. Exceptionally maintained. Fantastic video! As it hails from Vancouver BC it has been on both the Pacific & the Atlantic. Honestly aside from a few pieces of furniture there is nothing I would change.
You know how homebuyers say that they instantly know when they get a “feeling” that their home was right for them? Well, I was less than 20 seconds into your presentation and I had that “feeling”. Hi NautiStyles, thank you again for showing me a dream vessel. Geoff, from the wonderful port of Fremantle Western Australia 🇦🇺 🦘❤
I am drooling over this one. I came *this* close to buying a 36' aft cabin trawler for a liveaboard. My heart melts for classic trawlers! Love the analog gauges in the pilothouse, too. Absolutely ❤❤❤ this boat. P.S. I'm already a (happy) YT Premium subscriber.
@Navy1977 Nope. I sold my 32' liveaboard when I got married. I developed a fondness for actual closets (and garage space) when I became a landlubber! Although my life aboard was an amazing adventure - with memories that I will always treasure ❤
Another great review of course!! Those are double doors. If the glass was in panes and had gone from the top to the bottom of the door then they would be French doors.
Thanks for doing the affordable yacht series, this one is a Lovely offering to show, liked the wood & the large wheelhouse ! And the stateroom looks very nice… a real beauty! I was wondering if you’ve ever done a tour of a Ladenstein? I saw a 2004 Ladenstein L72? for US$636k
Hey guys I’ve been following you for years I’m disabled and I love boating! I’ve owned a pontoon boat but I’ve always wanted something larger having you ever seen a boat/yacht thats accessible for a wheelchair? Good luck? Lol! Love your reviews.
I really like the layout of that cruiser. French doors are known for their large glass panels that extend for most of the door's length, while double doors can have a variety of designs, including solid, panelled, or partially glazed options. The inset in the master bathroom was probably a soap holder back when people actually used bar soap. 😊 Cheers from Florida 🌴🌴⛵️
I upgraded to TH-cam Premium about a year ago and it’s the best $20 I spend a month. Just to make all the annoying commercials go way made it worth it…. This is a great boat. Definitely perfect for a retirement live aboard.
Incredibly practical layout boat and excellent condition. A definate home on the water vessel for all climates. That still can evolve with time.. the propusion system being the long term issue... But it has the space and access to convert to a more efficient hybrid system.
Many interpretations of 'Double Doors' vs 'French Doors'. An architect friend said once that Double Doors were for a wide or grand entrance and opened inwards whereas French Doors always lead out onto a terrace or patio and opened outwards.
You guys were asking for ideas: I've recently become interested in trawler yachts. Usually steel hull, converted to non commercial use, maybe for rent, but privately owned. They are just blowing me away what is out there. But mostly I'm seeing European stuff. Would love to see what is here in North America. Thanks you two! God bless! 😊
I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area.....I think 102 is the heat index or thermometer temperature in the sun, not the actual air temperature 😉 Beautiful yacht.....probably not much smaller than my 2/1 house!
Air temp unless otherwise stated is recorded in the shade of a screened box .. with wet and dry bulb thermometers. The high humidity will make percieved air temperature far higher. The wide covered walkways and sliding windows will make this an almost perfect low energy passively ventable boat even in heavy rain...whilst also providing interior shade during the hottest part of the day. 👍🏻

This really is a terrific live-aboard. Separating the cabins gives good privacy. You could even have 2 crew sleeping forward and the owner aft.

Love all the videos!I'll never open a boat but love to watch all the boats you guys show.cheers
🙏💙
Well, you've probably already been told, but just in case 😅😅 you haven't, the entertainment unit in the vip cabin is a TV Vhs video tape combination, very 80's, and in the masters cabin shower that thingy is a soap dish. Great boat and a great video ❤ thanks.
I really enjoy watching your videos. I don't understand what all the negative remarks on Instagram are all about. This is a beautiful yacht. Rico I loved the look on your face while you were in the master cabin and Victoria was about to close the door on your face. Stay safe.
Thank you Thomas! You're so appreciatred! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
I agree. I love Washington Island and Beaver Island in Wisconsin in particular.
Glad you liked it😀
Hello awesome Guys.
Nice old boat, your presentation is always awesome.
Love you guys
Mitch
awww good morning Mitchie - thank you for your kind words! We love you back!
A video with advices where to keep the boat in Florida for "snow bird - live on board" would be helpful or where to keep the boat when you travel back home but boat stays in Florida in off / hurricane season.
Great suggestion!
Love your videos and great job on displaying boats, I would like to make one suggestion and that would be to include engine room height. For us taller diy guys it’s an important aspect. Thanks !
I love older yachts.
Very well kept for the age. Someone cared. Thanks for the tour.
Glad you liked this one! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
Classy, very classy. Exceptionally maintained. Fantastic video! As it hails from Vancouver BC it has been on both the Pacific & the Atlantic. Honestly aside from a few pieces of furniture there is nothing I would change.
Great to hear 💙
I also like the older boats. I think some are built as well as new ones.
agreed
You know how homebuyers say that they instantly know when they get a “feeling” that their home was right for them? Well, I was less than 20 seconds into your presentation and I had that “feeling”. Hi NautiStyles, thank you again for showing me a dream vessel.
Geoff, from the wonderful port of Fremantle Western Australia 🇦🇺 🦘❤
Awwwww 😍
Dispite the Heat, you look great. Nice 60 footer. Great Range.!
Thanks!🙏
I am drooling over this one. I came *this* close to buying a 36' aft cabin trawler for a liveaboard. My heart melts for classic trawlers!
Love the analog gauges in the pilothouse, too.
Absolutely ❤❤❤ this boat.
P.S. I'm already a (happy) YT Premium subscriber.
💙🙏
@Navy1977 Nope. I sold my 32' liveaboard when I got married. I developed a fondness for actual closets (and garage space) when I became a landlubber!
Although my life aboard was an amazing adventure - with memories that I will always treasure ❤
Hello you Nauti Guys and thank you once again for a great video! No one does yacht tours like you.
Our pleasure!
Another great review of course!!
Those are double doors. If the glass was in panes and had gone from the top to the bottom of the door then they would be French doors.
Thanks for the info!
What an incredible vessel. Dream boat undeed
If one is available, I'd love to see a video on the Arksen 85. Great video as always.
Will do😆
I really like the layout of that cruiser.
Thanks Jim - happy Saturday
I upgraded to TH-cam Premium about a year ago and it’s the best $20 I spend a month. Just to make all the annoying commercials go way made it worth it…. This is a great boat. Definitely perfect for a retirement live aboard.
Incredibly practical layout boat and excellent condition. A definate home on the water vessel for all climates. That still can evolve with time.. the propusion system being the long term issue... But it has the space and access to convert to a more efficient hybrid system.
thanks for sharing
dutch doors!!! I love that pilot house too!!! the whole boat is a great design!
👌🏼
Many interpretations of 'Double Doors' vs 'French Doors'. An architect friend said once that Double Doors were for a wide or grand entrance and opened inwards whereas French Doors always lead out onto a terrace or patio and opened outwards.
Oooooo thanks for the insight!!
God bless! 😊
Noted! Thanks for sharing!!
Lovely boat in great condition, worth every penny, this is more like it, great tour again guys, kudos.
Glad you enjoyed it
Have wanted to see a Grand Alaskan and you guys have come through beautifully again.❤️👍
Awww happy to hear
Dog doors? You guy crack me up! Dog door..aka dogleg latches to secure the doors.
Love the boat!
happy to hear 💙
My favorite pillow is back! It sure gets around! lol 🤩😍😘
😂😂😂😂
Yayyyy
A well maintained yacht like this one is very tempting, especially if you have a Bering on order 😉
It really is!
I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area.....I think 102 is the heat index or thermometer temperature in the sun, not the actual air temperature 😉
Beautiful yacht.....probably not much smaller than my 2/1 house!
💙
Definitely worth the price for Premium! I’ve had for years. I would never go back.
