"Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect" ~ Sir Andrew Gordon
Truee😂.
It's true tho
😂😂, what an American thing to say.
If The Practice Has Perfection It Isn't Practice At All - Unknown
😅
Andrew looks like Captain Russell 😂
TRUE!! 😂😂 Would love to hear Andrew say those epic Dugna Lagaan dialogs!
Exactly
Fr
andrew can easily play british role in indian movies😂
Are you kidding me ?? Andrew Flash Gordon is the sweetest white guy out there. He would cry at the plight of the Indians, pay triple tax for 3 years from his own pocket, perhaps take out loans for that and then volunteer to learn gilli-danda with the villagers. He only looks white from the outside, he is a softie on the inside. The amount of tears he has shed watching Indian movies can fill a few wells in Champaner which the farmers can use to irrigate the fields to a bumper harvest. he the opposite of menacing 😂😂
Especially Period films, Them Moustaches though! *🤌
@@arvindramanathan6278Indian films have the option of portraying British characters as not menancing.
@@arvindramanathan6278he's very diplomatic
Andrew if you read this… the main actress in this movie played the role of Dr. Suman in Munna bhai M.B.B.S that you watched… truly a great actress…. Most movies dampen the roles of actresses and focus on known heroes however she is quite a talented actress and has portrayed the characters very well in both movies.

Andrew Gordon on a roll😂
More like a Joint.

This is one of the best sports movies I have ever seen. The last hour was fantastic, but the final 15 minutes were absolutely unforgettable
'The last hour was fantastic, but the final 15 minutes were absolutely unforgettable' - just like a real match lol
The amount of hunting the British did, is no joke. The royals and the British were so evil with animals. The biodiversity took such a heavy tol.
Most of the Varieties in Tigers, Birds, Cheetas disappeared thnx to them.
They still hunt. And still calling themselves civilised 😂
Wow! This takes me back 22 years! Thank you for this reaction!
Andrew, just FYI, the making of Lagaan is also quite interesting (and still available on YT, I think) and includes the trials and tribulations of the crew and the actors.
No, the original file was shifted to Netflix. Only a bootlegged version is left
This isn't jaby's channel anymore. It's Andrew's 😂
Lol 😂
and we're here for it!
I've never been fond of too much talking in reaction videos but boy oh boy, LeQuan Bennett can do an entire reaction with that godly voice and I'll hear it all day 🤌🏼
Exactly. He has a voice rivaling Steve Downes (Halo Master Chief) in depth.
ikr...Wen he said 'cmon Tipu represent.' I freggin lost it haha
Imagine Salman Khan in the deer hunting scene 😂
That would be the ultimate meme material.
You won't believe it I imagined that😂
Finally!!! Andrew reacting to a masterpiece of Bollywood. This movie was brilliant at capturing the themes of late 1800s Colonial India. The atmosphere of the village, the "superiority complex" mindset of the British, and the people getting fed up from the oppression, and so on.
3:00 A R Rahman is a national treasure. He always does brilliant scores. In the second act of the movie, you would see how well he recreated the Victorian era music for a sequence on the British side.
4:47 Indeed, Paul Blackthorne nailed his role as Captain Russel, carrying all the arrogance, the ego, the ruthlessness, and the "desire to one-up the people around him", with finesse. In the BTS clips, he was really bad with his Hindi dialogues, fumbling over and over again, till a dialogue coach put him back on track.
Here's a suggestion: Once you finish the movie, you guys should react to the companion video on Netflix, named, "Madness in the Desert", where the Producer (Aamir Khan) and the director (Ashutosh Gowariker) went through all the difficulties in making this masterpiece. It's a long documentary, but it covers all the BTS bits and the challenges of shooting on location. You guys can split it up into multiple parts and post the reaction for that. Trust me, Andrew will LOVE the filmmaking efforts that went into this masterpiece of a project.
@@shivkr0592brings back memories of old movies,It's like someone is watching a movie with us.I also look to learn English
@@shivkr0592 As Indians, we know how we feel about our movies and have watched enough people review and critique movies. It is always interesting to see an outsider watch our masterpiece and give his/her opinion on a blank slate. We have a lot of bias and hate in our current atmosphere, and it is a lot more refreshing to move out of the "troll sphere" and look at a newbie's commentary about what he/she likes/dislikes about the movie.
Regarding the productivity of this, not everything that gives happiness has to be productive. If so, the entire thing about "amusement parks" or "movies" and so on would not be "productive" and hence be worthless. These things are leisure activities, which we do in our leisure, for relaxing.
If they stop movie reactions/critiques, I will move on to a different group/channel.
@@shivkr0592 dude, movie critics have existed as long as movies have and their whole job is being paid for watching movies and writing their opinions. So why are you acting as if reacting to a whole movie and reviewing it afterwards was different? It's exactly the same thing with a plus: an interactive watch accompanying the review. I don't see people like you complain that movie critics don't produce content and are only paid to watch other's content... 🙄
@@shivkr0592 😂😂😂 you are so ignorant. Lagaan was nominated for an OSCAR. It's often included in western articles about must watch movies. It's a movie that is extremely accessible to westerners. So claiming that a westerner won't get this movie is just idiotic.
Also, Andrew is obviously very keen on learning about Indian cinema. He is a movie buff and he pays attention to cast, directors, composers etc. You are basically just gate keeping by saying a westerner shouldn't watch Indian movies because they won't understand. It's dumb.
Also, they do not simply compile "funny scenes". On Jaby's channel there's been various watchalongs of movies that are not happy movies. The cut down version simply included reactions to the major scenes of a movie not just funny scenes.
Also, all these watchalongs are followed by an ACTUAL REVIEW. So your point that reactions and reviews are different is totally moot. This channel DOES do reviews.
Also moot was your argument that reactions are bad because it's just reacting to content. As I explained, this applies to movie critics too. There are very few movie critics who provide anything else than a totally subjective biased opinion. Reviews on this channel are as legit if not more as so called professional critics' reviews.
"Nothing left for them" lol they keep watching and reviewing movies that had never been reviewed on the channel. Last week alone had Dostana and Dream Girl. Both never reviewed previously. So again, you are wrong in claiming that they only watch movies a 2nd time with new people.
And there is nothing wrong by including these 2nd reactions. It builds the knowledge of new reviewers like Andrew, who gets to know more and more movies, actors and directors.
You seem to have an issue with the fact these channels make money. But you don't have an issue with papparazzi spreading gossip or with some movie critics who always trash movies for no reason? These channels make content that people actually enjoy. They make money through ads and subscriptions. It's not taking your money so what are you complaining about? It's so silly. There are a lot of problematic channels out there (kid influencers, fake news etc), and a channel that provide actual reviews and not just mindless reactions is NOT one of them.
Wow Captain Russel is himself reacting on his film❤
Who is he ?
👍😂🤣👌
LeQuan is an amazing addition to the CineDesi roster! Welcome aboard!
I love this combination so much! Their reactions and one liners are hilarious!!! The way they keep saying Lunatic 😂😂😂😂
LeQuan Bennet is so funny for the randomly bursting into mocking British accents and hahahas
I see him everywhere. " Andrew Flash Gordon "😂
I think this movie is really going to drag for you guys. Its a good movie but i think the run time is too long for you guys
The only thing that dragged on for me was the songs. Apart from that the movie seemed very well timed.
I'm sure they are aware. It says part 1 of 4 LMAO
Andrew finally coming to terms w his meme lmfao😂😂😂
Voice of Laquan Antonio Bennett is so much great
Man this cohost has a great voice !!
What! you're reacting to lagaan then please react to Gadar movie also its released same year
Probably their audio equipment would explode when Sunny Deol would yell "Ashraf Ali!!!!" in the iconic handpump scene. (I'm just joking).
@@prabhatsourya3883 😂🤣
You guys are killing it with the movie selection. Way to go.. !!!.👍👍👍
Devdas was the movie that got me in to Indian movies. Now ovee ten years later, I can understand hindi well enough to not have subtitles if i have to. Im now trying to lern Telegu. Love from Sweden ❤
Sweden you say?... Burnt a Quraan yet?😆
Only by watching movies?
That is hella impressive😦
@@zenon026 Movies and songs. It's harder with Telegu because there are not as many translation online as there is to hindi songs.
@@laxmanndhotretrue I can understand English now 😊

rain plays an important part in a farmer's life, though we receive enough water from monsoon, still in some areas we experience severe drought
This is THE BEST MOVIE of all time coming from India.
I am not saying this just as a fan or because it has reached Oscars final nominations, but as an audience who has countless Indian movies across languages,
The “best” is very subjective
"Common Tipu...Represent" Hahahaha. That was hilarious.
Lagaan is a Oscar worthy movie ❤
Movie against white winning Oscar?
Andrew looks so much like captian russel ong😂😭😭
This movie is a great moment of Indian storytelling with wonderful acting. I love it.
I think you guys misunderstood the plot abt "gilli danda and cricket being the same". Bothr games are similar only in primary way. The villagers have no idea as to how to play cricket.
Even today when there's an India vs England cricket match, the 3 times lagaan meme does round of the internet.
this movie was nominated for oscars and was superduper hit in Asia😊
Yes, I always wanted Andrew to react on this.
Can someone help me where is the patreon video for this watchalong?
The guy reacting with Andrew has an amazing voice 😍
Hey you guys definitely should watch making of lagaan. You will love it. It covers how this movie was made . The crew s hard work and all the ups and down and the making of cinema back in those dayss. Pure bliss. And the earth quake happened in the villege they all stayed. 😢 everything covered beautifully ❤️❤️❤️
It's a best sports movie made for all over the world viewers at that time 2000 when Bollywood was never think like that concept & anyone can teach what cricket is through this movie who doesn't know nothing about CRICKET
Watching a film about cricket is more fun than actually watching a cricket match in real time.
Lequan can easily pass on as a voice copy of Morgan Freeman
these british wiped out almost every tiger from india .
Love from Germany. The black Brother has an amazing voice
Wellcome to the family Lequan🥳
They both got some good deep voice
11:23, did you guys notice Sonu Sood? 22 years since this movie's release and I notice him today
Happy to see new guy into come desi family ❤
Paul Blackthorne has an underrated performance in this. Really makes the movie.
Andrew please watch devdas as your friend referring to, if you watch a couple of srk movies I'm sure he would be on the top of your list no offence with vikram or rajnikanth in the acting capabilities aamir and srk will have an edge
I've just started and oh boy! I already love these both. They're hilarious 😂
Hmm.. Lagaan..nice movie.
But does that mean, we can expect Gadar next...
This is not a movie. It's an emotion. The good against the evil. The underdogs against the powerful. The grit against the cowardly. This movie teaches us the value of perseverance , it teaches us the importance of fighting till the end against all odds. This movie teaches us how to live life. As it says " if you have truth and courage in your heart , in the end you'll be victorious"
This marathon of reacting to Indian movies has been now a sprint..even we are not being able to Catch up these days. But yes excellent picks though. Lagaan what a pick.
Whaaaaaat how had you guys not reviewed this before?!
I love all the reactions of this channel and have been watching them ever since the early days of the channel...but boiiiiii i loved this one a lot... Like, i laughed...i loved that they were enjoying it ....
This movie is an awesome guide on leadership I will always adore this movie...
One of my all time favourite Lagaan, finally 🙌
Why he sounds like "love guru" 😂 American love Guru
This is the most iconicest of the Indiam movies
You're in for a ride. This is the best Bollywood film ever made. Period

Lequan has a very good presence. Invite him more. He is impressive.

Now we're king of cricket.... 😂😂😂🤣🤣
Yesssss...love me some Andrew reactions. I hope we get on Aamir Khan roll..!!!
I hope you guys enjoyed it🙂
Seeing thumbnail i thought it's PJ
Many times I feel what if you guys understand Hindi urdu too and then watching movies or reaction videos with you guys , now this wil makes a good deal , right ?
fun fact, the dialogue in this movie are not exactly in Hindi, they speak a language called Awadhi. Which is similar to hindi but not exactly. It's a complete different language mostly spoken in Uttar Pradesh.
Well, I read in the making background that the initial draft went complete hardcore Awadhi, but then the dialogue writers realized that pure Awadhi would fly completely over the heads of the audience, so they diluted it with Hindi. The language in the movie is a mix of Hindi and Awadhi dialect.
BTW, fun fact, this was apparently the first movie where Aamir Khan was fumbling in his Awadhi dialogue delivery. His plan was to go to a village in the Awadh region of Uttar Pradesh, and just live among the villagers for a month or so, to perfect his Awadhi dialect for the movie. But pre-production works dragged for so long that he couldn't get the chance to properly learn his Awadhi dialogues.
This is true story.... Of British empire on India
Agar raja non veg hota toh yeh movie nahi banti....🤣🤣🤣
Finally andrew is watching lagaan 😂😂😂
Am I the only one who thinks that Andrew looks like the main British character in this film???? Like he looks kinda similar 😂..... But I love your reactions..... and thanks for mentioning Devdas.... It's one of my favourites ❤
Andrew looks a lot like that English guy from the movie. 😁
I was watching this and then I got a notification of Lagaan's art director Nitin Desai death by suicide. Pure mind boggle😢
Great movie choice
Andrew is on a movie spree. Addicted to Indian movies I guess😛 Malayalam movies please
