Fun fact : A.k hungal sir(old actor with injury) also is in 'Sholay'.If you can remember. Please do making of 'Mugal-e-Azam' . I mean there isn't any proper making but the stories about it's making is mind blowing. That is also a child of madness of a director.
I was only 6 yr old when I lived in Bhuj and had the pleasure of visiting the sets of Lagaan. And then tragedy struck Bhuj on 26 Jan 2001, just before the release of the movie. Independent India's deadliest earthquake shook the entire Bhuj and left hundreds dead. Days later I shifted to my grandaunt's house with my parents temporarily till my father got a new posting, as we had no house left. Months later I got to watch lagaan on VCR. One of the most emotional moments for me and since then Lagaan became my favourite Indian film
2:59 no Rick, thank YOU for exposing us to so many nuances of cinema and movie making that has only made me admire the art form a million times more. You guys have opened our eyes to a whole new world that I’m personally very grateful for. ❤
Thank you for reacting to this masterpiece really felt so emotional towards the ending by knowing how much effort people make to making a film like this. I wouldn't have known this documentary exist if you people are not bringing it to this channel. What a beautiful documentary. Waiting for the next part. Best ever reaction till date.
1:08:52 I think you guys already know but that's AK Hangal. Legendary actor and also fought for India's freedom. I always remember him for his iconic performance in Sholay
Baazi was released in 1995, not 1992. That's an error in the documentary. The ice-scene at 9:06 is from a song in the movie - Na Jaane Kya Ho Gaya - featuring Aamir Khan and Mamta Kulkarni.
Such a brilliant and insightful making series... 👏 excellent.. Also, Korbin and Achara are now probably the 2 most clued-in and nuanced reactors ever of Indian content. Carrying OSR and Jaby's channels respectively 👏
Imagine calling The Javed Akhtar, "he's related to Farhan right?" Yeah, he's Farhan & Zoya's father Korbin, and also the most talented & interesting Akhtar in my opinion. If I had to choose 1 person in the entire history of Indian film industry to have a proper conversation with, the 1st person that would come to my mind is Javed Akhtar saab
For me Lagaan was not only a film but also the love , the emotions for our mother land India not only Bollywood but also a film of our sacred soil of our mother nation and also the love for cricket upto 100 years and the respect of who we are from our mother land at the begining in which we are born in its sacred soil and gonna get mixed - up with our ashes with its sacred soil at the end that's what we called " LAGAAN " ........ Celebrating 22 years of it ........💐🌸💮🌹✨🚩❤💖💗💓.......... and a very big salute to our legendary iconic actor sir A.K Hangal saab { 1st February 1914 - 26th Augast 2012 } ........ 👏👏🙏🙏❤💗........
Got the notification and immediately came here. Watched it throughout without getting bored. At the end didn't even realise it was more than an hour! It's so interesting. Really enjoyed it.🤗
The logistics are different in India. Budgets, infrastructure, the sheer diversity in cast and crew all of it is very difficult to standardize. Especially in late 90s early 2000s we had just opened our doors to privatisation. Your country is over 200 years old, our situation is different.
So glad Aamir ushered sync sound back in to Indian films. I can barely watch movies that use dubbing, because the performances are usually as artificial and cringe as the sound-a big reason why I dislike most “classics” from the 90s and early 2000s, like _KKHH_ and such). Hell, even no-budget student films I was in back in the day all shot in sync sound. ADRing a line here or there, sure, but the whole goddamned thing? I don’t think so.
The same man directs our famous Indian serial CID you must react i am also a fan of him the earlier CID used to be good for him only if you want entertainment just for fun CID works its depicting a satire of Indian investigate department and you gonna love
Aamir had just completed acting in Canadian director Deepa Mehta's "Earth/1947" where he was completely floored by Deepa's use of sync sound. When Lagaan came out, he used to credit Deepa for introducing him to sync. Also, too bad that his marriage to Reena broke down after this production, and he married Kiran from the crew of this movie (she is in this video as well).
Please react to the tamil song Koyilmani osai thannai (eng. sub) form the movie Kizhake pogum rayil (Actress Radhika first appearance). You can learn how the song and the music was created in 1978. The music composition was from Maestro Ilayaraja with beautiful interlude.
I have seen many youtube channels posting their reviews on the movie "7 aum arivu " but i would love to see those reactions of you guys, please consider this movie It's worth watching ‼️

It's such a pity what happened to that place, but I hope God has been kind & graceful to you in life ahead, god bless you!💕
Absolutely same thought came to my mind. Looking at those wonderful people of the village. Don't know how many survived. God bless them all. ❤️
Not only the movie, but also this documentary won awards

Yasssssssss!!!! Finally a reaction worth watching after ages! Thanks
"He is related to the Farhans" Yes, he is the Father of Zoya and Farhan
Today I realised how tough is to be an actor , director or producer. Nothing is easy man. Salute
Everyone who truly follows film knows it's one of the toughest jobs ever. Needs incredible vision and collaboration
Respect A K Hungle Sahab.! Our film industry does not deserve legend like him..
Why? You remembering him after so many years is a testimony of that.
43:04 Amirs 1st wife
43:12 Amirs 2nd wife
😂😂😂
If Ashutosh hadn't gone around India looking for a spot to shoot Lagaan, I think we would have never got a Swades.

His social Outlook, general brilliance, oob thinking, risk ability,
and secularism makes me feel he should enter politics and lead the country one day
try telling that to gobar bhakts. they'll lynch you

My man 🤝
The hero we don't deserve but need
Do you remember AK Hangal the 84 year old actor from sholay? His young son is killed by gabbar
One of the best "Making of..." imo.
The narrator part is a bit corny... but that's just the early 2000s
The Production Designer of the Movie Mr. Nitin Desai has recently passed away committing suicide 😞
Got the notification and immediately came here. Watched it throughout without getting bored. At the end didn't even realise it was more than an hour! It's so interesting. Really enjoyed it.🤗
Really fascinating and a very enjoyable watch!
This is the best choice for reactions.... Yes this is the treasure which is not seen by many of the them

The best thing about Lagann is AR Rehman...❤
One of the best Movie. ❤
I enjoyed this so much
Where can I find the original video with subtitles?
Ak hangal and Raghubir yadav are gem of an actor...they never got the recognition they deserved..!!
Do people want to watch this? views tell you, do a song, a scene in a movie, watch a movie or an interview etc. As long as it excites the audience.
There s documentary has been requested for more than a year now
I think this was requested by patrons. So OSR may not have an option, as patrons support their channel by paying for monthly/ yearly subscription.
Another documentary everyone has seen "SACHIN: A BILLION DREAMS"

Not judging, just saying :)
Few interviews of the video is shot later after the success and merge together
Mind blowing!
Korbin, I believe this is the full version
I still can't imagine how difficult was to do only Sync Sound part while making this movie .... I mean there is no way you can imagine this

It would be amazing if someone can add subs for you for making of gangs of wasseypur. That is also one hack of a movie making to watch.
Rural India mostly is past because they are poor and very less resources
